You can control how you fall, how the person chops your head, the way you fall, if you scream or not, if you upsetted the person or not.... Still can react to it, probably for only 12 seconds though
You know the school system has failed when I get better life advice from the 7 Habits from a 15 video than from 5 years of them shoving it down my throat. Love your channel, it helps me more than most of school.

Your content is awesome. Just one thing "please take it slowly, bcoz I need to understand and absorb it before you get to the other point." Thanks keep it up 😊
"Sharpen the saw" Oh man I'd rather learn and improve myself than work some mindless job. Yeah maybe you'll get more money at first while working the mindless job and you'll get immediate satisfaction but I'd learn for 5 years first and than find a job whose monthly salary will equal 1 year of work at the mindless job.
Yep! And that's exactly why I'm pursuing medicine instead of nursing for myself (ps I'm not hating on nurses- I work beside nurses every day... but I was initially doing it instead of medicine. Nursing deserves people who are passionate about NURSING.)
I've been spending time with the help of my son studying becoming richer and found a great resource at Reality Crusher Secret (google it if you are interested)
at 11:00 "SUM IS GREATER THAN WHOLE", in my psychology class I recently had learned "The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts" So when i learned this she gave an example of a face, 'do you see the eyes , nose, ear, skin differently or the complete face?' hearing that I started grooming myself top to bottom and never did I leave any pores in my attitude towards every person..and now I see this
Spending time on non-important things is *not* about cognitive dissonance. People very well know what they are doing and what they should be doing instead. The reason is in their mental strength. Example they may be too tired to exercise, they may crave unhealthy food and simply not being able to resist the craving. It may be easier to play video games, than come up with something the whole family can do together. Etc etc.
I started using empathic listening with my kids instead of assuming I deserved their respect for bringing them into this world. It changed the dynamic completely and I no longer spend my days wondering where I went wrong and why my kids didn't listen. Funny thing happened, it became real obvious I was the cause of all my own issues because I was doing what everyone says you are supposed to instead of what felt right. I realized that we are all walking around like functional drunks except for it being functional insanity. I then chose to live differently and be different in general, if I don't like most people's values or lack thereof, why would I care if they at all agree with my decisions? I realized how little my actions made sense. It's not easy understanding why everyone does the things they do on a day to day basis. It took working myself into a coma an appendectomy and a year of serious brain reconditioning to even start to see improvement. But by the end of this year I will have a patent that will help a lot of people. We don't have to be sick and in pain all the time. When we realize that we cause our own pain and suffering by the decisions and actions we talk which are based on perception/perspective. Collect those two things like others collect stamps, it is a very good starting point to figure out the patterns of your life.
trough the entire video I thought there was 1 important habbit missing. and that is sleeping in time, getting out of bed in time. but this last thing fits in th last one. sleeping well is a huge pronblem for a lot of people around me myself included. I see that a lot share the same habit by staying up longer to finish their work or watch one more episode on netflix. without enough sleep a lot of these habits are a lot harder to achieve. for example try listening to someone when you are very tired even if you are very interested in that person it is hard to keep paying atention.
Last week I ran my first 5k without stopping and all the time I could hear the voice in my head saying that I can do it. Forwago, thank you so much for everything!!
The biggest problem of our generation is that we listen to argue not to understand - we always look for something that we don't agree with, that we think isn't the way to think... and that's terrible!😕 great video though!
EXCELLENT!!!!!! I am a Business Professor who is using this book to engage and inspire students. This video is the PERFECT introduction! Thank you!! :)
Best book I've ever studied not read. I suggest it to any intellectual person starving for knowledge, answers, and overall best ways to your live. Remember the trick with this book is to study it and not read it.
I've seen other RUclipsrs that have a similar format for book reviews and I like your videos the best. For starters, I enjoy the sound of your voice. you sound enthusiastic and happy to not only find the information that you present but to share it as well. Second you sound like a positive person and really helps me to receive/internalize the info. Others may try to sound like they want to help but really it tends to sound like they're nagging you or complaining. I also appreciate the anecdotes you choose. lastly you preemptively said to not make suggestive comments about the tree "seeds" that was good ;-) thanks for the video!
I couldn't have summarized it better. I want to have this book engrained in my head to remember when I stray from the principles this book has taught me
I haven't seen many of your videos all of them that I have been helpful, but this one has been very helpful to me. I am going to purchase a copy of the book you mentioned in this video to add to my library. Thank you for your insight.
Practical Psychology quick question are you planning on making a draw my life ever (even though it's a old trend) I'd love to see what you've done in your life!
So many people lack the win-win mentality when it's actually very important. Always look out for your customer or your loved ones. They deserve to win as well not just you.
I immediately download the kindle app and found this book. I hope this is the first step in the right direction for my life. Thanks for the great video!
Actually the Ferrari and Lamborghini is like a lose/lose/huge win story. The guys who bought these shure are happy with thier cars now ^^ And yes I know, that this is not the point of the given example.
I've always had a rough relationship with food and my body. The thing that really helped me was Forwago. Now I workout three times a week, and I started to eat much healthier. And the best thing about it is that I don't hate doing it but actually enjoy it.

I really like how you really sharpened your animation and your communications skill since the first time you reviewed this book. it was good then but now it's even better
I’m so glad more people are becoming aware of the aspect of their overall health. Something that worked for me and helped me to improve my mental and physical well-being was Forwago.
Solid review. This is one of my favorite self development books! Gotta get the inside right (private victory) before we tackle the outside (public victory)! Keep up the good work.
This is amazing! You just map out every of the contents from that book and describe it very clearly and comprehensible without leaving any of its important messages. Good job bro! Rather than spending some more time to read it again since I cannot grasp all the idea at once, watching your video for only about 15 minutes save really much time to rehearse. This is effective! Hoping for another great informational vids from you.
Great advice. Teaching people to focus on what they have control over rather than focusing on what is out of their hands. People could accomplish much more by just focusng on what they have control over

Dr Gamal, below the bottom right corner of the video you will see some icons. The gear icon which roughly looks like this * is where you can click to see or change settings, including playback speed. The default, of course, is "Normal" speed. There are 2 options that are slower. Using one of those 2 speed settings should be helpful to you.
Shit, it sounds like he's mixed coffee, red bull, 5 hours energy and monster and put them all in the blender and drank while snorting cocaine while taking caffeine pills. xD
7 habits of highly successful people: - they were born smart - they were born physically attractive - they were born optimistic and highly social - they were born in a rich family - they were born in one of the western countries - they were born highly talented for something that can be monetized - they have the right friends
Smartness can be wasted. Attractiveness can be repulsive. Optimism can become pessimism. Riches can be lost. Opportunity can be overlooked. Talent can be squandered. Relying on friends is unreliable. None of what you mentioned guarantees success, though they may be bonuses, but your chances of success are magnified by how you spend your time and your outlook on life.
Do you know what your work ethic is? Then you can start working on it. No Pun intended. Knowing what you are doing to subconsciously sabotage yourself is half the battle. The other half is stopping those negative thoughts, feelings, activities, and habits which are hindering your personal growth. Some people are afraid of change because they realize it's painful to give up habits that in the moment seem rewarding, but that they may or may not realize are destructive in the long run. To say you can't really control your work ethic is to give up before you even swing the first blow on that battle field. You'll never win. So stand back up, put both feet on solid ground, and win this battle.
KainusGulch crossing the cringe threshold trying too hard to be insightful and Zahlen Punkten being extremely obvious with reverse psychology. Self-improvement community is a joke.
7 Habits of Highly Effective people is based on Stoic philosophy. The author of the book simply rebranded the material to make it accessible to the larger low-brow vulgar plebeians.
+ExtrovertedSmirkTM And this video is simply rebranded material of the already rebranded material to make it accessible to an even larger, lower-brow (whatever that means), more vulgar plebeians... yet here you are
Victor Hernandez Whether you like video games or not (I really love them), it's right. You don't really accomplish anything by playing video games other than having fun
Arjan Van Der Laan I personally have learned a lot from playing RPGs, tbh. Just like reading a book or watching a movie, a well written written story will have a positive impact on those who pay attention.
You'll have to excuse that perspective. I'm gonna ramble for a second. (1) Shooter/first person/action/fast-paced games are better for your brain than games marketed for your brain. (2) The general stigma against video games is against the waste of hundreds, or thousands, of hours on them. Some people erroneously associate some people's waste with all video games in general, not the use of them. Some great time can be spent with friends playing games like Smash Brothers, and, as kind of like what you mentioned, the result from a good story can be like reading a good book. (3) That's it, I think. I was just seeing if there was anything related actually in my mind.
Playing games is only as much a waste of time as listening to music, or reading a novel, or doing poetry, as all these thing simply entertain you all the same.
Watching these Practical Psychology videos really helps to motivate me to improve myself, my life, my relationships and my mindset. Thank you for inspiring me!
Well yesterday, I was watching RUclips videos, then I stumbled across this channel. I'd love to become a psychologist when I get older and this is a really good channel. Great videos.
Self-development has always interested me, thank You for the video !And I would like to say that self-development always begins with something insignificant and small. It is a long process of learning and accepting oneself, spiritual growth, and long-term self-improvement and working with oneself. "Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible."Tony Robbins" goal Setting is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible."Tony Robbins
Words simply can not describe how helpful to me Forwago is. It completely changed the way I think and feel about everyday things. This program is too good and it is too bad that many people don't know about it.
Great video. I studied Covey's message in the early 90s and it transformed my view of myself and my view of interpersonal relationships. You did an excellent job of presenting the topics in a clear concise manner. One quibble, that in no way detracts from the excellent video, is that the "Self Improvement" tag diminishes the breadth and scope of the information contained in Covey's work. Otherwise, keep up the insightful work!
Having read this book twice over before watching even 5 minutes of this video, I can safely say that you wont get even 10% of the value the book gives you compared to this. It is a great summary, but believe me, this video will have only 5% of the impact the book gives you if you read it cover to cover. I have no problem with this video, in fact i'm thrilled that a channel with such a following is promoting such a book. I just want people to know that without reading it in Covey's words, this is just another feel good video that you will remember as much as any other on youtube. do yourself a favour and spend that £15 and read it for as long as it takes, and then read it again and again like a bible.
"If you can't control a situation, at least control how you react to it."
What if someone chops my head off!?
You can control how you fall, how the person chops your head, the way you fall, if you scream or not, if you upsetted the person or not.... Still can react to it, probably for only 12 seconds though

I don't know if anyone pointed this out but comorbidity is pronounced "co-morbidity"
yeah no, youre correct. it IS Co-morbidity... he pronounces many things wrong but its decent advice nonetheless

Good video but way too much talking/content for me. I prefer in smaller doses otherwise the info doesn't get "digested" well, but thats just me.

Great book, I recommend everyone read it. I'm almost halfway through and there's so much useful and timeless information

Shit, it sounds like he's mixed coffee, red bull, 5 hours energy and monster and put them all in the blender and drank while snorting cocaine while taking caffeine pills. xD

This is pure gold material. Thanks for sharing.
7 habits of highly successful people:
- they were born smart
- they were born physically attractive
- they were born optimistic and highly social
- they were born in a rich family
- they were born in one of the western countries
- they were born highly talented for something that can be monetized
- they have the right friends
Smartness can be wasted. Attractiveness can be repulsive. Optimism can become pessimism. Riches can be lost. Opportunity can be overlooked. Talent can be squandered. Relying on friends is unreliable. None of what you mentioned guarantees success, though they may be bonuses, but your chances of success are magnified by how you spend your time and your outlook on life.
Looks like somebody's being reactive... ;)
Best and in-depth video i have seen on this book
i really cant control my work ethic
Daywalker777r why not
You sound like Bojack. I think you would like that show.
U r right, u cant
KainusGulch crossing the cringe threshold trying too hard to be insightful and Zahlen Punkten being extremely obvious with reverse psychology. Self-improvement community is a joke.
This was so helpful I could cry
7 Habits of Highly Effective people is based on Stoic philosophy. The author of the book simply rebranded the material to make it accessible to the larger low-brow vulgar plebeians.
Can you recommend good sources/books then on Stoic Philosophy that is basis of this book.
+ExtrovertedSmirkTM
And this video is simply rebranded material of the already rebranded material to make it accessible to an even larger, lower-brow (whatever that means), more vulgar plebeians... yet here you are
AK Smith The Letters of Seneca and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius are good starts

I JUST LOVE THIS DUDE... THANKS BRO...
I was liking the video until you said video games are a waste of time...
I'd say it's just as productive as any other hobby, but you shouldn't spend all of your time on hobbies.
Glad we found each others channels today. Amazing channel you have created friend.
So don't act like a Trump supporter. Got it!
Ronnie Ayala What? That doesn't even make sense. Besides, why would you bring politics into this video?

Watching these Practical Psychology videos really helps to motivate me to improve myself, my life, my relationships and my mindset. Thank you for inspiring me!
Actually it is the best time to turn on the notifications ...this video is very important and useful ...thanks
Well yesterday, I was watching RUclips videos, then I stumbled across this channel. I'd love to become a psychologist when I get older and this is a really good channel. Great videos.
Your channel is the only channel where i watch every single video. Great Videos bro!
+Park Joseph I really appreciate this :)
Self-development has always interested me, thank You for the video !And I would like to say that self-development always begins with something insignificant and small. It is a long process of learning and accepting oneself, spiritual growth, and long-term self-improvement and working with oneself.
I understand, thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed!
