Obviously a beautiful pistol. I always worry about dirt getting into the lightning cuts in a bad situation. Love the fish scale slide serrations. Not sure why we don't see more of that?
It's the only 1911 I own. Sadly, I couldn't get mine to reliably feed my JHP carry ammo (230 gr Win Ranger-T)...it runs lawlessly with ball ammo of course. At some point, may pick up a variety of JHP and try again.
I've been carrying mine for about 3 years. The only complaint I have is the grip safety metal. It rusts really easily. It's up against my body, and I sweat on it. If I don't oil it every few days, orange starts to appear on the edges.
Was wondering if you had to work on the Fusion Firearm grip for the ambidextrous safety and did you polish the finish off the barrel that shows when the barrel is locked up. I haven’t shot mine but finish is already wearing off from racking the slide a few times. Thanks

Would you choose this over an M&P performance center 9? My buddy has one on offer. I LOVE your 10mm content. My fav caliber other than bolt action 7mm Ultra Magnum. Rifles. Cheers
I found one at Galco but nearly as regal as yours. Would you please share with us the company that sold yours? Maybe they sourced from some maker that still is in business. BTW, it got mine we and it’s every bit as beautiful and well made as you described, and while I was at it, I bought the new Springfield TRP coyote brown 4.25. She’s fabulous as well. Perhaps SA might send you one to review and you could compare. I’d like to know which is your favorite. Thanks
Great gun...pity here in Brazil the value is very high. To give you an idea, a Beretta here, stainless steel, standard, 9mm, costs 4 months of salary for a police detective. very difficult..I continue with my pt 100 plus..lol.. And to make matters worse, we have a socialist government now. Since January 1, 2023, the purchase and registration of weapons is prohibited by decree in Brazil. . Even for cops... God bless all good men. A fraternal hug and may God help us...
Smith and Wesson, way to ruin an other wise beautiful firearm by engraving an idiot label on the frame. If you need a constant warning that a pistol can fire without a magazine, you shouldn't have one.
This is now my primary EDC pistol. It is just an awesome 1911 ... I don't understand why Smith and Wesson didn't install night sights on it. I have Dawson Precision sights and I also changed my grips. Cheer's!

Those fish scale serrations are very grippy indeed. I'm sure they involve some pretty tricky machining that other 1911 makers don't wish to tackle.

Yes, the right hand grip panel had to be modified. I did polish out the chamber hood - I personally think it looks better.
