    In this video Eric takes one of his recent acquisitions from Moss Pawn and Gun to the range for a little fun. The E-Series 1911s from Smith and Wesson are different from standard models in that they feature a lightweight Scandium frame and round butt with full front and rear checkering, making them a great option for a single stack 45ACP carry gun. Stay tuned, much more on the way.

    Eric, I'm glad you liked it. It's been my EDC since I retired from 33 years of Army service last year. It's a tac driver, and functions flawlessly. I run Hornady 220 grain Critical Duty. Enjoy!

    I purchased one of these back in 2012. The weight of it is great, solid build quality and the trigger is really nice. I'd highly recommend picking up one of these if you're in the market for a nice, decently priced 4.25 barreled 1911.

    I've got that exact gun and love it! It was my 1st 1911. It feels really good in the hand and shoots great. When I first saw one I had to have it. It's pricey but well worth the money. Thanks for all your videos.

    I have had this same gun in the all black version...never had a hiccup and always runs. I chaned out my sights to 10-8 fiber optic front with u-notch rear, but the gun itself is amazing and really comfortable for EDC.

    My goodness your videos never disappoint i am definitley looking forward to seeing more content on more pistols i love the fact that you actually get into detail about everything that you do about the gun the ammo accessories ect. But what i really wanted to ask was if you can give me some advice on how to clean up after i come from the shooting range specifically on how to avoid lead poisoning while at the range?? That would be great i hope to see more videos like these from you thanks eric!!

  • @Idaho_Hunter
    @Idaho_Hunter 7 месяцев назад

    I love mine, the only complaint I had was the gritty, and heavy to operate safety. It was gritty because the surface where the plunger met the safety was rough and not anywhere near smooth, and heavy due to the angle of the lobe that the plunger has to overcome. I used some fine grit paper and a Dremel and solved both of those issues. After doing that, the safety is smooth and easier to manipulate (Much more like my Kimber) The factory trigger is great, the extractor has been flawless in feeding and ejecting rounds (300 fired so far) Its a work of art, and that light frame and shorter barrel are really nice. Even shooting +P 230 Gr Federal HST it is really manageable.

    Hey Eric and Chad, why don't you guys think about making a 1911 from an 80% frame and make multiple video series of you guys completing the frame (decking the top, rails, barrel seat, pin holes) and putting all of the parts together to have a very cool DIY 1911? I'm in the middle of my 80% 1911 right now and I'd love to see my favorite you tube gun channel do one from an 80%! I'm sure you guys have a lot on your plate and lots of plans, but think about it!

    I am just drawn to Smith and Wesson firearms. I don't know why. I have owned many other brands but for some reason I always go back to Smith. Used to carry a Glock now I carry a Smith. I guess that makes me a fanboy. I'm just always been impressed with their machine work even on their economy fire arms like the SD9VE. Quality

  • @IsaiahGranger
    @IsaiahGranger Год назад

    Is it normal for the thumb safeties on these to have a lighter or flimsy feel? I love it overall and it’s not a functional problem. That part just feels cheaply done vs my 2 Colt 1911s.

  • @CHAOSMOVEMENT
    @CHAOSMOVEMENT 5 лет назад

    I have one of these for the past two months. I was unloading and dechambering a round and the safety lever just fell out out of nowhere. Is that normal? It seems like when the hammer is cocked back there is nothing but the detent pin holding it in place, but it can still come out.

    Definitely snappier than a full-sized but of the other 1911's I own its quickly become my favorite for its size, light weight, great sights... If you'd be willing to put out another $400 over a vanilla Ruger, Remington, Springfield...they'd be dollars well-spent.
