- Smith and Wesson 1911 pro series in 45 ACP. My new concealed carry gun for 2024. been wanting to get this gun for awhile now.
.
as always thanks for watching and happy New year!
There is no comparison to this S/W and a Rock Island… the R/I desires to grow up and become one of these.
Lucky bastard, that's such a beautiful gun.
Just order one online and have it shipped to your nearest FFL
@@oreGUNboyHave you fired it yet?
I always hear people saying that full sized 1911s are the only ones they'll buy due to the officer sized ones being unreliable.
But I just assume that's just Internet gun talk.
Anyway, is the recoil noticeable, given it's lighter frame?
@@natwolf687 I haven't fired it yet. Been snowed in over here in Oregon. I'll tag you in a video once I do.
.
My dad has the shield plus in 45, and although the recoil is more noticeable than a 9. It's not hard to shoot. I imagine this will be easier to shoot than a polymer 45.
don't listen to those people. they are just haters🤷
@@natwolf687I’ve had one in .45 just like the video for about 3 and a half years. I’ve probably put around 1500 rounds through it and I have to say that the build quality makes it feel much lighter recoiling and better in the hand than a 26 oz .45 should. There is definitely a snap that the longer barrel 1911s don’t have but it is still a high end 1911 carefully designed for carry. It’s overall my favorite auto pistol that I own, if you plan to comfortably carry a reliable .45 that will always hold up then this should be a top contender
Looking to get this 1911 from S&W performance Center in 9mm, these are fine fire arms at the reasonable price. Stay Safe.
The 9mm has good reviews!
To show the trigger reset, hold the trigger to the rear and rack the slide then slowly let the trigger out.
how would you compare this to something like a rock island? was looking at a tac ultra CS in 45 but looked at this one first and you really cant find much on it on the internet lol
I wish it had night sights
I'm most likely going to install night sights. I think it uses the same sights as the shield
I own this gun, and I agree. Night sights would make more sense.
Does this really have a 10lb pull? Per the S&W website?
Definitely not. Idk why their website says that
It's somewhere between 4-5 lbs
@@oreGUNboy thank you, im considering one and was taken back when i saw that. Never even heard of a 1911 having that heavy of a trigger. Thanks for the video
@@dave2873 of course! I think it's a great option for concealed carry. It's light weight and packs a punch. Recoil is surprisingly supple and the gun is very accurate
Hello sir
