    Nice build and setup video! It's outside of the scope, but I've become a believer in pre-arm. I use my Trim-Yaw-Right as a pre-arm which work great for me as I have no use for them as trims flying quads.

    • @bilumedia
      @bilumedia  Год назад +2

      thank you very much 😊! It is an amazing drone, I love it , it flies very very smooth and has ton fo power! I have no idea what is pre-arm! It is like a step that you have to do before arming?

    • @Dorff_Meister
      @Dorff_Meister Год назад +2

      @@bilumediaYeah, Pre-Arm (a mode in Betaflight) is an additional button (it should be momentary, IMO) that has to be pressed for Arm to happen. This prevents one from _accidentally_ flipping the Arm switch and have the props start spinning. Example: carrying both your plugged in quad and your controller... and the Arm switch getting accidentally bumped to on. In my config, I have to hold Trim-Yaw-Right before flipping on Arm (or Turtle Mode). In EdgeTX, the trim switches can be made to be pretty decent momentary switches. Maybe I'll make a video.

    • @bilumedia

    • @kurtzFPV
      @kurtzFPV Год назад +2

      I know it is not a full replacement for prearm, but I have trained myself to always raise the throttle after disarming, which at least is a bit safer. I should probably look into setting up a real prearm on my larger quads.

      @@bilumediaI'm loving this build. Installed inav at first with a lidar board hoping to get dependable locked in altitude when flying low and slow. I was not able to get altitude control to work well even though it flew very nicely otherwise, so I went to Betaflight. I may try inav again soon since inav 8 is out now.

    • @bilumedia
      @bilumedia  10 месяцев назад

      @@kurtzFPV I didn't use INAV before, it sounds very intersting ! And the lidar idea is intersting too, I have something similar from and old drone... but I love to fly completly manual ...

    • @kurtzFPV
      @kurtzFPV 10 месяцев назад

      @@bilumedia I too love to fly manually, even when flying indoors. But even the very best cinematic fliers show some up and down movement when doing a real estate fly through for instance. I was hoping to get the lidar mode working well enough just to use in such specialized instances. I was wrong in the post above. I tried inav 6 and it is inav 7 that has just been released. I thought it flew very smoothly in manual - just as smooth as Betaflight. But I actually prefer Betaflight return to home right now over inav, even though inav is far more precise. But it takes so much more tweaking, since it is also using a magnetometer. If it isn't calibrated exact right, the quad will start swinging in circles when using altitude hold or return to home. I'm sure I'll try inav 7 at some point. I'll let you know if I have more success than with 6.

  • @captainfpv6775
    @captainfpv6775 8 месяцев назад +1

    Thanks for the help building this quad. I converted my Cinelog 35 into a Cloud 149 V2 frame ( absolutely bulletproof ), but decided to convert that again into this Bee 35 frame. It's quite an awkward thing to put together - and I lost count the number of times the frame standoffs fell out as you tip it upside down over and over again.
    One thing though - I used your PID settings as in this video and just moving the throttle 1mm sent the quad up really quick and angrily I disarmed and altered the settings to something more friendly. Just thought I'd point that out - did you notice that and change your settings before flying - I feel it would have just cleared off on it's own.
    Overall - It looks Great - testing time properly soon.

    haha! I already saw that the cable to the ESC was missing when you screwed the quad together. 😂😂😂 yeah, i didn’t understand for few seconds what the hell is happening 😅! The 206 are very good, the drone flies really good and even with 1300mAh 6s batteries, i guess you ordered the 2006 6s?

      Yes! I ordered the 2006 1950kv and I will go for 6s on them! I thought that Speedybee knows what is good for this quad… the xing motors are a little bit to expensive for me I think!
      But I am also very happy with the frame and the details Speedybee had thought of! I also put a COB led strip in yellow on it which looks great, but have you seen the new Speedybee meteor led strip they are offering now for the speedy 35? I ordered it together with the motors…. bro, your solder joints are not clean, when you are stripping the wires, you should only strip them to a short length. As a result, some of the wires are hard to solder and protruding inside the ESC barely touching the mosfets. Similarly use flux after tinning both the pads and wires for a better and fast solder connection. Otherwise, the build came out very nicely.

    hey, nice video! i build the same drone with the same setup but have the Problem, that my drone disarms at half of throttle, did you heard something about such a problem? And what config did you wrote in the esc?

    • @bilumedia
      @bilumedia  7 месяцев назад

      Hello my friend, thanks! I think i have bluejay installed! Do you have a failsafe active, maybe it is configured wrong and cause the drone to stop! Check the wires between the esc and fc, maybe change it, the motors run smooth? We can talk on instagram if you want and you can send me pictures and video maybe to try and figure it out : bilu.media

    Following along with the video and when you forgot the ESC/FC connector I was like "oh this will be funny when he catches it!" Great Video. Have you found any changes to the Tune you like after a few weeks of flying It or does it still perform well with that basic Whoop Tune you Picked?

      🤣🤣🤣 yeah, i was waiting for the second part of the starting sound and it never came 😅😅😅! Thanks for your kind words and appreciation 😊. I am still using the tune that i picked here… but i didn’t fly that much lately to see if i would change something, the weather here in Germany is sh… 😅 and i am flying tiny whoops in my studio more, because i have some space to play around 😁
