Thanks for this series, please keep them coming.
Cool idea, Sometimes you can find boards with live edge in the utility grade lumber section. It would be fun to experiment with staining and burning the edges to try and emulate bark.
Love the edge on this! Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful piece. Wonderful gift idea. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Such an easy project but brilliant too. I can see these being a hot seller
Now that's what I'm talking about!! Great job !!
I'm back as a suscriber. I like the good ideas! Thank you!

Good job and project thx for sharing Keep building
Thanks for watching, Larry!
Guess I need to learn how to use the jigsaw lol. I'm so horrible at it
Nice!
What is it?
For cutting Bread🤷♂️
I like the "live edge" look, but what do you call this product you have created? Is it some kind of serving board? Maybe a charcuterie board?
They go by various names, wood riser, serving tray, display tray, in addition to the ones you mentioned. I would use a food safe finish if going for a charcuterie board.
A restaurant would help helped with a more even coat for stain. Would you be willing to try it again using such product and show the viewers???
a restaurant?
Awesome job Ron what did you use for legs
Thanks. I used these dowel caps: amzn.to/4a2KStf and some 1/2" wood dowel to connect them to the tray.
I watched another video of yours making a serving tray out of wood. But you had created this jig that allowed you to make angled cuts with your chop saw. Do you have plans you could share on that?
Thank you
try watching this one. ruclips.net/video/EahjjTgg4tg/видео.html The only written plans are included in the tea towel ladder plans on my Etsy shop
what is the tool you used to run the line...looks like a depth gauge to draw the line?

this looks awesome, thanks for this!
I was looking for a beginner friendly project on the woodworking side. i can combined this with my 20w laser engraver and really have some nice custom serving boards. Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Is it foodsafe?
Put some food on it, eat it, then you come back & tell us if it’s "food safe" or not!!
Just remember the last thing you ate from the last restaurant you went to was most likely scraped up off the floor…. & sold as "All Natural", "Gluten Free"!! 😉
@@PiercesPerfectPiecesyou're telling me you think most of the food you eat at a restaurant is dropped on the floor before being served?
@@mattv8540 Maybe not so much "dropped on the floor" specifically, but definitely jacked/messed/screwed/played (whatever you wanna call it) with!! 🤔 🤨
I think the question on being food safe refers to the finish being used. I would say that most finished are food safe after they dry and cure. With that said I don't recommend cutting on them a epoxy or poly finish. Oils and hard waxes are another story.
My suggestion is to look at the manufacturer's label to see if a finish is deemed food safe.
The restaurant thing has zero to do with the question asked.
Got this from Peech.
Nope. I've had this video uploaded and scheduled for a week. But, thanks for watching anyway.
