    We had the best monster bluefish run this year here in NE FL. I even heard some long time local anglers say the best in 40 years. As always thanks for putting out the awesome content

    What resources do you use to determine it’s a good day to take the kayak out in the open ocean?
    I’d imagine choppy water isn’t pleasant to be in haha.

    Perpetually AMAZED at the size of Bluefish you land on such light tackle. My memories of bigger bluefish on the Jersey Shore in the 60s & 70s have them TEARING UP some pretty heavy tackle & wire…….

      I think we have better reels now than we had in the 60s/70s. Rods are lighter and stronger also. I'm old enough to recall when surf anglers used to rinse their Irish linen lines and literally hang them in the sun to dry. Saw that, never did it as I was too young. Almost of that was before monofilament came on the market.

    This weekend I'm planning to target bluefish. The last few years have been atrocious off AC. Shit the last almost 20 years 😂. I remember back in the 80s and 90s when we would go shark and tuna fishing you couldn't even get a bait out. I haven't had one doing either in almost 15 years 😂. I need to get em cause next weekend I'm planning on trying for thresher

    Another good video, Elias! I was going to buy a Bonafide PWR and add a motor to it, but it appears you and John Skinner enjoy the ePDL.
    Would you recommend the ePDL for inshore fishing in NC or is it better used for offshore?

    Are you normally inshore, near-shore/in an inlet, or just off of shore when making trips like this?
    I want to try to target some Spanish this year up here in the southern Chesapeake Bay Area.

    I agree about the single hooks. I land less but definitely better fish throwing a classic silver spoon than say a small treble lure like a gotcha or rapala.

    That first shark didn't "do it" bc you told him not to do it. You'd be surprised how many animals F off when you tell them to F off😂😂. I tell all kinds of animals their business and they listen.

    I've switched out all m trebles for single hooks. So much easier to deal with and really don't think I've lost a fish because of them. And definitely saved my fingers unhooking some blues.

    Put a wet kitchen towel under your cutting board and won't slide around so much. A moving cutting board is very risky. That was a helluva yellow eyed devil.

I arrange for speakers throughout the year.. we meet in a local resturante near the college.. I would promote your channel prior to the session. What time of year is best for you…let me know….Your techniques and way you use the fish finders etc… your way to modest, i have loved your channel for a few years…
