A Elias,great video. I think you and I share a similarity I’m from Long Island and I retired and moved to Southeast North Carolina. I’ve got to say my friend I’m disappointed at Long Island fishing I remember it much better in the 70s and 80s. Well, at least New York kept their flounder season open (fluke.) once again another great video. Maybe I’ll bump into you. I fish from Holly Ridge to calabash. Stay safe, my friend.

I used to fish south oyster bay in Massapequa. Always giant fluke , blues, stripers in the brackish water The big boats always tried to swamp me while fishing off a surfboard

One of my favorite bodies of water to fish.
I like this Northeast fishing. Most of the guys I watch use the tandem jigs, but you were slaying them with single jig. You are a jigging master I would say.
I think in certain areas tandem is the way to go 👍
Hawaiin tropic dry oil sunblock..I keep in my fishing box for backbay NJ..works against ALL biting flies..sunblock is waterproof but if you get very wet you need to reapply for fly protection. Great entertainment Sir! Those Sea Robins look a lot like Gurnard in New Zealand and they’re prized eating fish. Gurnard are larger and mostly orange colored but the same shape. Thanks again for the fantastic content.

Try a thermacell for the bugs. I just 1 and hook it on the back of kayak seat and it does a great job of keeping them away. Great vid as always
hit the winter flounder off Sesuit if you are doing cape cod serious monster size ones there in the 4+ pound range.

Hey man I kayak fish here in cape cod and I hope to see you out there on the water. Big fish are moving thru right now and bottom fishing in the bay has slow down but there is a lot of big fish in Boston feeding on pogies and herring.
I know you don't do it, but I'd be tempted to try a short wire trace, to get away from that heavy leader.
Master says if you target a striper here in Maryland you will pay a big fine, yeah let me know when I do !! Help me abolish the recreational fishing licenses permission slips, we all have a god-given right to recreational fish for food fun therapy.

Good video! Was wondering if you notice a taste difference in the two species of flounder/fluke that you get in NC?
I think southern flounder are better tasting. But it’s so close you need to spend a lot of time cooking them to pick up on the differences.

How far out of long island are you about. I typically go all the way to montauk but gotta figure those fish should be around eatons neck. just never tried. also great video. hopefully I get lucky and run into you one day kayaking

How do you pick your days? Every time I go out with the wind report of sub 5kt and 1 foot at 12 seconds I end up fighting for my life because it’s really 15kt and 2-4 at 8
