    This top is really cool. I swear I’ve looked at all of your patterns. Somehow I missed this one. Do you have a secret stash of patterns that you’re keeping for a special occasion? Lol! No, just kidding!! I like how you explain that the chain on top of your current row is the chain that will be at the bottom. I never heard it explained that way. I can picture it in my mind and see how it would make sense to a new crocheter. I also like the use of different texture yarn. I like to use different yarn on my cardigans sleeves. It makes it unique and more interesting.

    I teeter between a lg and xlg size. Using 4 weight cotton, the xl size recommendation in the description is more like a 2XL. Was way too big on me. Used H (5.5) hook for mine

      Hi Amber. I was catching up on comments before shutting down for the night and yours just popped up. Good timing! As for the size discrepancy...first thank you so much for letting me know. I need feedback like this for future projects. This one called for #3 yarn. If you used #4 you will naturally end up with a larger garment. And of course personal tension will play a factor. If you want to try again with the same yarn, maybe try the instructions for a Medium or Large? Thank you for watching and commenting.

      Hi Gail. At the beginning of the video it shows (in text) it is a size small. It also says to open up the description area for more detail (such as hook size, yarn, directions for other sizes, etc). I used an H hook. Thank you for watching.

      I'm so glad you like this! As it shows on 0:33 the detail for larger sizes is ins the description area below the video: For larger sizes, add to beginning chain in multiples of 2 plus 4. For example: ch 67 + 6 (three multiples of 2) + 4 = 77 chains for size medium.
      77 + 6 + 4 = 87 sz Lg
      87 +6 + 4 = 97 sz XLg
      And add additional rows for preferred length.

      The detail for sizing is in the description area (white area below the video). You need to click where it says Show More or a little arrow next to the name Crazy Cool Crochet. For medium start with a chain of 77 and add rows to your length. Then follow the tutorial.

    Hi, I love this simple pattern. However, I wear a size xl and am wondering how to figure changes to pattern to fit me. I couldn’t find anything except for size small.

      I'm so glad you like the simplicity of the pattern. The details for additional sizes are in the description area. I just added more detail. Click See More or the little arrow next to the title of the video. For XL start with a chain of 97, then add additional rows to your preferred length. Hope this helps!

    I bought my Yarnspirations Bernat Baby Sport yarn in white and Funny Prints. Both are #3 light yarn.
    I finished the bottom rows I the white and when I started using the Funny Prints for the front post double crochet, I noticed that it is a much finer yarn.
    Is this normal with this yarn? I bought the yarn in the USA and am using it while vacationing in Croatia - so exchanging it isn’t an option right now.

    • @CrazyCoolCrochet
      @CrazyCoolCrochet  3 года назад +1

      Hi Liz. I wanted to reply right away because you are working this right now. Yes, the prints version is a finer yarn. And yes, this happens with a lot of brands. No consistency. Keep going. It'll be fine (oooh no pun intended!). Enjoy your time in Croatia!

      I made this pattern in zz twist yarn in small. It is a little tight - but I’ve gotten a lot of compliments from my mother in law and her relatives. The white with the funny print I’m making the medium size.
