So I’m confused because when I turn on my Xbox series s to play new lucky tales, there is no FPS boost on the screen or auto hdr, but works on other games. I have the 2020 tlc 6 series, I have no hdmi 2.1 but I can play games at 120fps. I’ve played halo at 1440p/120hz. Hdr does not work if you not using 4K on the Xbox series s, I’m aware of this. So when I do 1440p at 120hz I won’t get hdr. But lucky tale isn’t even saying hdr boost? It also doesn’t say auto hdr even when I’m just play with the Xbox at 4K/60hz with hdr/and auto hdr turned on. So am I doing something wrong?
@@Skycaptin5 I don’t believe you did. For some reason I thought all games had auto hdr but, it is only some titles correct? Also I like watching your videos, thanks for keeping me entertained. I don’t have that much time to game anymore like I used to. Been playing a lot of switch lately. My wife and I just had our first child, my daughter is 8 months now, it’s amazing! Can’t wait to game with her. Anyway thanks for the videos and the hard work. I’ll be looking forward to seeing how mass effect remaster turns out.

@@Skycaptin5 I heard mass effect wasn’t going to be Xbox series x/s enhanced at release, is that correct? I may actually try to play the mass effect remaster on my Xbox one x just to get the 4K since my Xbox series s only does 1080p/1440p. I may play on my Xbox one x in 4K and then play it again on my ps5 whenever I find one. Hopefully by then they might have a 60fps update for ps5
Good video bro 👌, I had a question is there a badge or some type of notification for the FPS BOOST. Just like how when AUTO HDR is on and you hit the home button you can see it on the right of the screen
There will be, they don't have it yet, they noted in the spring it will arrive and show up right below where auto HDR is. It will also provide an option on the game to turn it on or off.
Does the game need to be installed on the internal SSD of the Series X? Have played it today and didn't notice anything improvements in the frame rate. Thanks
I haven't done Ori, those games always give me flashback nightmares of grinding through them haha. Eventually I imagine. But yes, these platformer games could be incredible all running at 60fps to 120fps!
I personally have the Xbox series s and it’s pretty damn great for 300. I am going from a Xbox one x with a 4K tv so the resolution decrease did suck but it wasn’t that bad. It’s still super fast. I was originally going to get the series x but I’ve only been able to find a Xbox series s and even that was almost impossible to find. With consoles being in short supply till looking like at least through 2021 I had to get what I could. But halo in 120fps is still incredible. I plan on buying a ps5 with the money I saved with the Xbox series s. Then I’ll probably buy the next Xbox mid gen upgrade like the Xbox one x. I would definitely recommend the series s, not as powerful but still very strong as no fast console. Plus it’s very sleek
@@JH-gd4qv Neat notes, definitely makes sense for you. I have a Xbox Series X and PS5 thus far. If I grabbed the Xbox Series S it would be for comparison videos, I imagine that's what Gloomy is mostly asking about.
@@Skycaptin5 ya I meant to recommend the series s if gloomy was interested in getting it. I figured you would be using it for video comparisons. It is ugly out there right now trying to find a Xbox or ps5. I hate scalpers, they ruin it for us just trying to have fun and game. I was trying to talk a guy on Facebook into selling me a p5 for 540 dollars because that’s about what I would pay after tax. He told me to keep dreaming. Ass holes are the scum of the earth lol. I feel lucky to have even been able to find a Xbox series s. Guess I’ll be waiting till 2022 to get a ps5. Hopefully find one sooner though

@@JH-gd4qv The tab will appear with the spring update, but the boost is applied. I don't believe this one has auto HDR, did I mention it having it?
