So, ever since I was 12, now 18, I have been so traumatized at how people explained birth, the stories I heard about birth in a hospital were horrific, but as I listened it sounded like something was wrong, like the doctors had no clue what they're doing, but when I found this channel, I cannot believe how good God is for taking my fear away, these videos make me feel so relaxed, and hopefully one day, I will have a baby following these wonderful steps, thank you so much❤❤❤

I know this is the most helpful and i have been learning a lot, baby boy is due in May, however, where i live (Philippines) there's no such thing as mother-lead pushing, everything is dictated by the midwife or doctor that with be attending, and you will be labeled as a difficult person if you go out of your way to give them your birth plan. Private or public hospitals and birthing/lying in clinics are the same😢. However, i am bringing with me my birth plan and a spokesperson for when i am going to the hospital, hopefully they will grant it. Please pray for me

Thank you Sister! ❤ I am 36 weeks and trying to find the best position to push my baby if she is still at the “O.P.” Position. My doctor won’t be there more likely when I give birth so I get the impressions lots of other Doctors, PN, nurses, or midwives automatically directs Mommies to push immediately when they dilate at 10 cm when their body is not even ready to push yet.

The "peek-a-boo" can be frustrating and hospital staff is likely to pressure you to push out the baby, but it can also be your best friend. I didn’t tear during my first birth because I felt the stretch in the crowning so clearly and did some back-and-forth with the pushing. The pushing was 15 minutes so the baby was fine. I did midwife-led pushing but in this labour I want to feel the clear urge to push or preferably fetal eject reflex before I do anything because pushing was hard work and I was pushing "blindly" too much into my perineal because I had no insticts.

Thank you for your videos! For baby #1 I never “got” that urge to push, the doctor and nurses were telling me when to and unfortunately I tore bad 😢 i am in my second pregnancy and worried this will happen again

I had the same thing happen, I had 3 tears. Recovery was soooo painful. I'm pregnant with my second and hoping to not tear this time and to not push so hard. I also want to not be on my back the entire time I was in labor

I typically don't recommend the E vowel sound because it can cause the pelvic floor muscles to contract in my experience.

How I wish I have come across your video before this time I would have be happy now with my son, I delivered my son one month ago 48 hours labor with lots of pains and I couldn't push him out safely being my first child 😭😭😭😭, by the time I was able to push him out he got tired and he couldn't cry, unfortunately I lost him few minutes after birth, but all the same God knows why it happened that way, and I'm glad I come across your video today which will help me in my next pregnancy with the help of God Almighty 🙏🙏🙏🙏 .Amen. and God bless you ma for this wonderful video.

I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant but doing research so I can be organized when I ask my doctor questions about labor and delivery. The hospital I'm delivering at has peanut balls and exercise balls standard in every room and wireless monitoring though I've heard that can be finicky. I suppose I feel a bit like my doctor will laugh at me if I ask about delivering in positions other than my back like on all 4s or about waiting to push until I'm ready. In the US are doctors really open to these things or are you pretty much stuck with what the hospital tells you to do?

In a similar boat...and i work at the hospital. I think it does depend on your provider and the hospital policy, but I have to remind myself not to be afraid to ask questions and express my preferences.

In ospedale ti trattano come numeri.
