      @@jalainadill3690 I work at a hospital that’s very comfortable with women giving birth in multiple positions! There are many hospitals that are the same. Of course, limited by if the woman gets an epidural. But I think just having that convo with your doctor before labor is important and makes sure that you and your doc are on the same page 🥰

    • @surlespasdondine
      @surlespasdondine 3 года назад +15

      @@Zoethechoirkid Well with an epidural you don't have pain anymore but it's just SUPER intense, the feeling of pressure is very overwhelming and I felt like something was stuck down there. Like a bowl movement but x 1000 and like you are constipated but at the same time feel intense waves of pressure. It was extremely unpleasant and I felt very anxious and like I couldn't do it. I preferred the pain of contractions. That being said I got an epidural at 3 cm, not because I couldn't deal with the pain anymore, it was still manageable but because I did not want to "feel everything" later on. And I'm glad I got it! Would have been so much worse if I had had to handle horrible contractions at the same time as what I described.The pain of contractions when you are more dilated is horrendous from what I hear. I mean I never understand when people are surprised by how much pain they are in during labour, I'm always like "duh, you think women screaming as if they were possessed happens for no reason" lol.

      Oh I thought I was the only one. My first 2 were natural and soooo intense so I had the epi with number 3 thinking I was gonna have a kourtney K birth but I still roared like a lion during the pushing. I was not expecting to feel the ring of Fire with an epi. I’m on number 4 and I definitely prefer no epi because the pain is gradual, the epi went from zero to 100 sooooo fast when he was coming out.

    Oh my dear, you were wonderful! Your first baby and your labor went so hard and fast! . Watching this, brings back my first time, 55 yrs ago..You never said if they got your baby turned from posterior presentation, or if you brought her all the way posterior. You are so lucky to have your husband there all the way.. When I heard “posterior” , I thought , oh no, shes in for a long hard time pushing. My son was born after 9 hours of hard pushing , because he never turned anterior. A nurse hugged me tight with every contraction all night long. They never had me get up and kneel like you. I think that really helped you , made all the difference. Oh, you have only just begun your family life with a baby in the home. There is so much love between you and your husband, what a beautiful thing to watch! There is hope for this world , one generation passes away and a new generation is born., through your love. Congratulations!! BTW, my son who gave us a hard time getting born, has never ever given us a hard time, except to worry over his safety on the land or at sea. He has a happy marriage and gave us 4 beautiful grand children and is such a good son, who lives nearby, and is a comfort to his folks in our elder years. My mother used to say, a daughter is a daughter all your life, but a son is a son till he takes a wife….and then you gain a daughter-law! .. May you be blessed with as many children you desire. and, in time , grand children. ❤️ PS. Sage will need a brother :)

      This is so sweet to hear thank you for sharing your family story 🤍 luckily the stretches we did to help bring on labour I think moved sage around in a better position and yes kneeling was the best position for me. I felt way more uncomfortable on my back! I can’t wait for sage to have a sibling in the future 🥰

    Its crazy. Most women in my life have gone through this, and I know many who are pregnant. I don't ever hope to be pregnant, but who knows how that might change in 13ish years. Every time I see women still doing amazing things after giving birth. Bringing a fricking other life into this world, aways makes me tear up in joy. To all the wonderful moms, or soon to be moms, your amazing. If you can bring another life into this world, like my mom did for me, you can do anything

    This was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this special moment with so many. My husband and I are in the beginning stages of planning for a baby and this was so beautiful and oddly comforting to see.

    I don't cry that much. Not even with other birth videos that I've watched. I cried. Especially when you said "this is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life!" or something along those lines. I know I didn't say it word for word, but I cried.
    So beautiful. Congratulations!

    This was the most beautiful raw intense video I’ve ever seen. Once your baby was out and I heard her cries, I started tearing up. You are SO amazing and SO strong🥹 Thank you for documenting such a beautiful moment in your life

    This is literally my ideal birth. I’m due in May and could only hope that this is how my birth goes. Don’t get me wrong I know it probably won’t but I just hope! Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable special time of your life!

    Thank you for sharing this. We’re planning on trying this year. Even though this looks incredibly hard and intense, the moment you and Matt had when you first held Sage is so special and is something I’m looking forward to!

    When you were talking about your period cramps i kind of chuckled to myself. I understand you were experiencing labor for the first time but i went in with that same attitude as well with my first so u found it relatable. Active labor is in a whole different ballpark, when you said "I'll never think my period cramps are bad ever again" i teared up, cause same lmao. I'm due with #5 any day now, watching birth videos really helps me mentally prepare for the intensity of labor again.
