I wanted to be induced at 39 although I have no complications, I’m just tired and my body hurts. I pray I can have a faster and easy delivery.
I currently have a 2 week old and just wanna thank you for the Lamaze breath that breath alone through out the beginning contractions and whole labor process got me through natural labor. My first labor experience I did not have any breathing technique at all and found myself tightening up and making cramps more unbearable for me I still went natural but it was unmanageable and I was so anxious but this time with the breathing process I was able to go natural again but manage the pain. PLEASE LADIES GET A BREATHING TECHNIQUE DOWN AND STICK WITH IT. When you’re doing it get out of your head about how you sound or silly it may be because man it’s worth it
I had my baby on May 28. It was a difficult labor(my baby got stuck behind my cervix and was sideways coming out. I had the best OB who stayed hours overtime to deliver him!). I used the Bradley style breath through the whole thing and it helped SO much! Even the nurse commented on how great my breathing was. Focusing on the counting was difficult but I kept reminding myself to and I got through it! I HIGHLY recommend following her breathing techniques!!!
Hi Sarah, No words to express my gratitude. My wife followed suggested techniques mentioned by you in this video helped her to have a normal delivery. Special love from 🇮🇳. Mandy n Sarvi 🌹🥰
I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow with my first. I've been watching all of your videos to get ready! I've been having contractions and leaking fluids so I'm going in this morning to get checked out! I'm thinking this might be it! I'm anxious and excited. Perfect timing for this video! 🥰
So helpful! Thanks! I have given birth four times already but needed a refresher as it's been almost 9 years! Slow and low breaths and vocalizations are the key to a calm birth.
What worked for me was breathing in and and meditating. I took control instead of the pain controlling me. Yes it still hurt so bad but feeling in control helped me with the pain and not feeling like i was gonna die and or lose control, feeling in control helped tremendously. Regulating the pain helped me deal with my sanity. 🙏❤️
I used to brush off the breathing techniques & not think they worked , well I regret that lol I just gave birth to my third child and the breathing through it all literally saved me sooo much pain and discomfort ❣️❣️😎🥳
Just found this video today. I'm going to recommend it to my daughter. Her first baby is due in April. I just mentioned this to her last night. She was like "Mama who does that"?. Poor Baby. She has no ldea. So l then informed her had l known how to do this with MY first baby, maybe l wouldnt have been in labor for 46 hrs. I learned more about it after the fact. Didnt worry so much before, because l have a high tolerance of pain. Lol yeah right. I later had a set of twins and another baby. Used the breathing and it was a much better exsperience. So it does make a difference. Thanks for sharing this video. It will help me, help her.
Breathing down really helped my contractions! My nurse was amazing, and soon as she said breathe down it clicked in my brain and it helped so much! I was 9cm’s with no epidural when she suggested it.
Breathing techniques are so important!! I was holding my breath during contractions and got exhausted so quickly! I am happy I realized I was holding my breath and go back to breathing well! I also felt diffusing relaxing scents helped keep me calm!🥰
Thanks to you, I was able to handle the pain with no pain medicine. It took 30 min to push my baby out. But I really didn’t feel much pain when I wasn’t having contractions. Thank you so much! It was my 4th pregnancy
I loved Bradley birthing method! I had 3 babies naturally. The breathing techniques have helped me throughout my life especially in stressful situations.👍🏼
I watched your video right before my labour started, i practiced the way you explained. It was sooooo helpful and was an easy labour. Thanks a ton, couldn’t thank you enough dear.

Hi Sarah, got to the hospital at 9cm and gave birth doing those breathing techniques. Thank you. I always forward your channel to all I know who are preggo. All the best and thanks again. Sending love ❤️
38 weeks pregnant with baby #3 & aiming for a natural, unmedicated birth (at a birth center). I've always heard of "gently breathing the baby down" but didn't realize what this entailed until I found your video. Now I am going to practice so that I can prepare for birthing my baby. I can also attest that relaxing the face & jaw in breathing out helps with contractions as well...for myself I found that deep inhales & long "mooing" or "moaning" exhales helped with managing my contractions during the birth of baby #2
I watched this video before the birth of my son and I had a lot of compliments from nurses telling me how well my breathing was, especially for my first labour. So thank you so so much for this and now I’m watching it again before my second. *I did practice about 1/2 months before, just a few minutes before bed.
It sounds so easy when you say that. I had my first baby nov 2 2020. I lost control towards the end when the pain started getting more intense. I started hyperventilating and freaking out! ☹️ I was given pitocin and the epidural and it did not help much :( next time I will try focusing on my breath and changing my mindset while having contractions. I wish my mommy was with me but because of COVID I only had my partner. He did his best to help calm me down but watching this vid made me believe I can have a better birthing experience next time ! 😅
It is the ultimate key to labour, I had a traumatic labour with my first because I was so out of control because no one would listen to me because I was young and I knew something wasn’t right but everyone just kept brushing me off and I panicked so much (I was right my son and I both nearly died). With my next 3 births I just went inside myself and focused on my breathing using some gas towards the end because my labours are only 2 hrs so they ramp up very quickly but it made all of them so calm and easy even with my youngest who was born on his side and was a 9 pounder so everyone started panicking a little but I just blocked them out and focused on breathing him down and out and 3 pushes later he was out and they were all in shock.
Thank you! I found it helpful for pushing to keep the belly out. I didn't have time for the epidural and very much used this to get through and when the baby's head came down and out.
Hi Sarah! Can you make a video on what is the right way of pushing? When I was in labor I knew the breathing techniques you said in this video, but when I got to the pushing part of labor I didnt know a proper technique
This is the refresher I needed!!! 3rd baby due in 4 weeks after 12 years. Thanks for the “breathe the baby down” method. Definitely can see me using this.
I remember having my last one with no pain medication. I would breathe out while I push, but the grunt I made while doing it really helped me. I would grunt for the duration of the push && it really helped. I’m going to keep that tip in my back pocket, as I am now 9 weeks with my 4th child.
Oh my goodness this video is everything right now at 3 am in the morning! I’m 36 weeks just started feeling these uncomfortable sharp contractions. You hit the nail in the head with the anxious uncontrolled breathing. I felt so much better knowing that what I’m feeling is totally normal and that mindful breathing works. Thank youuuuuuuuuuu!
Thank you so much Sarah,I delivered safely today. I have been following your videos. Especially this one,I needed help with breaking techniques and this video just worked out perfectly for me. Am celebrating my 1 day old baby today.
Hypnobirthing With Anja yes! He is super excited!! Every time he sees my bare belly he’ll run up and ask to kiss baby! He’s 3yo, will be 4 in December! I believe he’ll be a great big brother!
Once you’ve done any vocal training , these styles of breathing and more are an absolute must as part of your warm up routine. Mindfulness to the breath is the key to managing stress in daily life!
Honestly, the belly breathing style helps with the pain of the contraction the best because your actively stretching out your muscles while they are trying to contract and it makes them feel less intense. I am 39 weeks tomorrow with baby 3 and so ready to have him in my arms!
Aww 🥰, good luck to you! I just had my third last November and I’ve never had an epidural. Breathing DEFINITELY helped me to be able to achieve that! Hope your birth went well and you are gently recovering 😌!

My baby number 6 coming in June and i never did breathing techniques before. Awesome, thank you 😊 I will try them all. I usually scream🥺 but probably from feeling out of control.
Yes this true! Be calm and breathing technique. I delivered my little last 14th April. So far, everything doing well. Since, it fully dilated I started to push about 3:00pm then my baby comes out 3:37pm.
I just combined these types of breathing with a little trick I came across today. The trick is to practice labor breathing techniques while holding an ice cube (to practice in a slightly more realistic setting, cause not all of us experience Braxton Hicks contractions and holding an ice cube gradually becomes more painful). I am thrilled for how long I managed to hold the ice cube and how empowered and in control I felt. I am 38 weeks along with my first baby so I don't really know what contractions feel like. Obviously I expect them to be muuuuuch more painful than the ice cube 😁 but I hope to feel at least just a little bit of this power over the pain during labor.
@@cobblecattt yes! I delivered my baby girl this Saturday. Contractions were much more bearable than I thought they would be thanks to the first type of breathing (in, 2,3, out, 2,3). I maintained focused on breathing and had a great experience! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

I watched this channel n really helped with the breathing techniques. Thank you guys for reading my essay. Oh yeah the after birth sucks, from birthing the placenta to the contracting and shrinking of the uterus. Ugh the worst. I didn’t tear by the way. Ok ttyl
Waoo thanks for the heads up.
Imagine you are told your baby is in a breech position you will nervous and miracle happen . You were 💪
D Cannon yay! Congrats!
Congratulations!! I’m due in 3 weeks and I’m really nervous because this is my first pregnancy. However, seeing your comment and this video kind of put me at ease. I wanted to be induced at 39 although I have no complications, I’m just tired and my body hurts. I pray I can have a faster and easy delivery.
@@tamarabailey4529 all the best love I'm 38 and 5 days I'm so scared of pains and all process bcoz it my first time
I’m 36 weeks watching this and haven’t been to any classes because of corona , I’m so at peace watching you I’m so ready ❤️‼️‼️
I’m labor right now !! 39weeks 5days on my birth ball practicing my breathing thanks to you 😇😊
I currently have a 2 week old and just wanna thank you for the Lamaze breath that breath alone through out the beginning contractions and whole labor process got me through natural labor.
😭😭😭😭😭 amazing!!!! Congrats!!!
I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow with my first. I've been watching all of your videos to get ready! I've been having contractions and leaking fluids so I'm going in this morning to get checked out! I'm thinking this might be it! I'm anxious and excited. Perfect timing for this video! 🥰
Abra Oeser that is so exciting, congratulations on your bundle to be! You will do great mama, best of luck to you!🥰
Good luck!!!!
Oh wow I'm 39 weeks tomorrow as well with my 3rd! Good luck!
So helpful!
I used to brush off the breathing techniques & not think they worked , well I regret that lol
I just gave birth to my third child and the breathing through it all literally saved me sooo much pain and discomfort ❣️❣️😎🥳
34 weeks snd watching this.
Looking forward to coming back to share how well these techniques helped.
Thank you.
Thank you!!! Just had my forth son and second free birth. I could hear your voice in my head. God bless you sweet soul
I love you Sarah Lavonne. Such a friendly, intelligent, witty lady. Such an inspiration to me. I work as an antenatal teacher over in England. I teach hypnobirthing. Your videos are so insightful and well put together. You are giving me the confidence boost I need to keep going with my hypnobirthing channel. Thank you xxxx
I love you so much. With this covid thing going on you are the only type of birth class that my boyfriend and I have and you have helped us so much already and i cannot thank you enough!!
Xoxoxo
@@sarahlavonne Same here! You seem so sweet and nice and the videos are easy to watch vs other content creators that can feel abrasive/ aggressive ❤
Came back just to say I had my baby two days ago and the breathing techniques got me all the way to 6 cm before I asked for the epidural ! You are AMAZING ! They made such a difference once I reminded myself to start them
Hi Sarah, got to the hospital at 9cm and gave birth doing those breathing techniques.
39 th week .. watching you during early contractions.. thank you! U r amazing
Been watching you since 2016 ( first time mom) to now, 3rd baby, 35 wks and preparing to, try, and do a natural birth💙 thank you for this!
Watching while in labor. It’s 520PM and I’ve been here since 12AM lol I need all the control
2 hours of labor and 3 pushes? That's awesome. Good advice.
How was it
Baby number 6 and still nervous. Thanks for the breathing reminders which will help during labor.
Same here! I’m 35 weeks
Izzy
Thank you so much Sarah,I delivered safely today. I have been following your videos. Especially this one,I needed help with breaking techniques and this video just worked out perfectly for me. Am celebrating my 1 day old baby today.
Yay so proud of you
These techniques helped me a lot. Blessed with a baby girl. Thank you for the amazing videos.
Thank you for this! I am getting induced with our first baby tomorrow night! I’m watching your video for the second time this week.
I cannot thank you enough for this. 25 weeks pregnant and I would love to feel confident with knowledge and feel more prepared. I just subbed 💗
Watching this when am 39weeks 1day ..Can't wait to put them into action and bring my experience.
Exactly 37weeks today!!!! Second baby and is a baby girl!!!! Can’t wait to hold her, thank you for sharing this! Love your videos! ♥️♥️♥️
Aww! Congratulations honey! How old is your first child? Are they excited about being a big brother or sister? xxxx
Hypnobirthing With Anja yes! He is super excited!! Every time he sees my bare belly he’ll run up and ask to kiss baby! He’s 3yo, will be 4 in December! I believe he’ll be a great big brother!
@@paea_fotu1550 aww! That's so lovely to hear! I'm sure he will be a great, protective and loving big brother! ❤️❤️❤️
Being induced today and this pitcion is kicking my butt but these breathing techniques are helping so much
Once you’ve done any vocal training , these styles of breathing and more are an absolute must as part of your warm up routine.
So exciting!! I'm 35 weeks and am planning a natural labor! So excited. Super cheeful easy mood and digestible information as always
I'm due with my third baby in July and I can't say how much I appreciate all your videos! I got an epidural with my first two, they were both inductions. I'm hoping to go without an epidural this time!
I’m going have my 11 th baby and I’m still getting a lot learning from you on so much. Been Watching your channel on all kinds of things and helping a lot thank you and share you videos too.Soon be giving birth 🤰You are amazing women.❤

Thank you for this! I’m 37 weeks and getting ready for labor and appreciate these tools. Baby number 6 but I need a refresher!
So happy I found this video!! Sarah you have taught me many amazing things about birth! I'm 37 weeks with baby #2 and actually scared for labour and birth this time. With our son I had wanted to go without the epidural but back labour got so intense I lost myself in the pain instead of breathing like I should have. I'm making my husband watch this video with me tonight and practice the breathing aswell so he can help me more this time come baby time. Thank you so much!! ♡♡
I'm 26 weeks pregnant, and while I'm watching this and doing the 3 breathing i fall asleep😂.lol ithink it also help to fall asleep because we're being relaxed. Thank u Sarah! ❤

This helped me a lot with my first baby. Now Im having my 2nd. I needed to review this video to remember the techniques. Thank youuu so much!!
I’m a first time mom at 38 weeks + 3 and we are expecting a baby girl. Thank you so much for this video! Prepping myself for when I go into the delivery room. Especially in the middle of a pandemic and I’ll only have my fiancé for support. Thank you so much for this video.
Same im due aug31
With a girl
I get induced Friday and I’m just now watching this 😩 but this was so helpful!!! I’m a first time mom so I will be utilizing this!
I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby. All classes have been closed due to Covid but this is great. I’m anxious but know my breathing will be key.
Almost 22 weeks and I found this video so helpful! Gonna watch it again when I’m closer
I love how comfy this video was to watch it felt like I had a personal 1 on 1 class! I'm being induced later on today and trying to figure out what breathing method to do. Practicing all three now to see what feels best for later on! Thank you so much for you video! Ill be back with an update! 🥰
so how did it go?
My baby number 6 coming in June and i never did breathing techniques before. Awesome, thank you 😊 I will try them all. I usually scream🥺 but probably from feeling out of control.
This video helped during labor more than anything else. Thanks so much for sharing!
Hey there! Is there an update? :)
@@marijajovic1901 thats awesome!! Congrats 😁
Watching this at 38 weeks!! You make me so excited for the big day. I was so nervous, specially as a first time mom.
How was your birthing experience??
I just had my baby girl a few days ago and I can say for me personally Sarah truly helped me from this video and breathing techniques to laboring from home prior to going to the hospital, my first labor was amazing and so easy. Everyone is different but truly use these breathing techniques I used Lamaze breathing and the last technique for pushing helped so much !!! Thanks Sarah you are a blessing i am recommending every mama to watch !
Walk In Faith Not by sight yesssss so Proud of you!!!!!!
While watching I was like how am I going to remember this Lamaze thing when in panic mode and then I realized I have been doing that breathing technique while running on a treadmill for years!! It’s legit an epiphany and I always thought it was weird way of breathing while running but it was my body’s natural response - so now I am not worried at all that my body will know exactly what to do when the time comes! Week 37 now so its closeby
Due June 30th, getting induced June 25. This is my second baby & had rough time being induced w/ my first. Any positive, encouraging comments welcome 😬 thankful for these videos ❤️
Due 30 June with my first. Can't wait to meet my baby boy.
Omg we have the same due dates. Goodluck mamas
How was it mama??
@@MrsBryant1024 actually the baby came early. (On 19th). I went through normal delivery but there was a cord around the neck. My baby got some distress that made us stay in the hospital for 9 days. But he's completely well now. Just bathed him now he's sleeping right next to me.
This helped me so much. I believe this is why I pushed for only 45 mins! Thank you !!!!!
Watching this while on contractions at home😊very helpful
I'm 38weeks and I think I'm addicted to your videos now, literally ALL I've been watching is YOU! THANK YOU! You are one in a million and you have this amazing way of talking/convincing that's been helping me SOOO MUCH!!!
My induction is in 24 hours (8/17/20). Didn’t get to go to a class due to COVID so this is helpful. Thanks
How did it go?
how did it go?
@@beautymellz5600 ended up getting a c section because I wouldn’t dilate pass 4 cm after 47 hours. Had my son 8/19/20 exactly 48 hours at 7:03. We used 3 induction methods and they all didn’t work properly.
@@BethanyL23 so sorry I’m just seeing your comment but I did respond to a comment underneath

i’m 35 weeks and 4 days pregnant i’m so excited!!
I have been watching your videos for couple of days now and it has helped me a lot. This is my first pregnancy and am 37 wks, already getting on and off contractions for few days now and am all excited. Your videos are really helpful
I love how you describe these breath practices! A lot of prenatal yoga students I've worked with have mentioned how helpful it was to be prepared with different breathing techniques. Breath is key for everything! ;)
Wonderful and totally agree!!!
This was so helpful! Our childbirth class at the hospital could not be done in person because of COVID-19 so they did not get to cover breathing and other coping methods so this was so helpful! My husband and I are just patiently waiting for the arrival of our baby girl, now!!! 😊
My due date is tomorrow, and I’m so glad I found this. Been looking for good videos on breathing techniques to maintain control, and how to breath the baby down.
Your breathing technique definitely helped me when I was having contractions may 7,2020 especially since i was going for a vbac for baby number 3 baby number one was vaginal baby number two was emergency c section do to heart rate dropping but anyways i did the breathing technique and kept thinking each contraction is bringing her lower for sure helped cause when I was getting admitted they took for ever to get us a room for delivery I was 6cm already and water had broken at that point thank you so much for your advice on breathing the baby down and pretty much helping along my journey too a successful vbac birth was truly amazing baby girl was born yesterday may 8,2020 at 11:50pm
yessssssss so happy for you!
Due in 5 weeks and I’m so happy I found this!!💕
