Awesome Video!
I think you are very generous and I know you know what you are doing. You are good to your customers. Very impressive and always enjoyable to watch. I have a monster collection always trying to figure how to sell very complicated. Lol forward to your videos.
Look forward, amazing how words are changed.
Awesome
Vintage rings my bell!
Nice small collection. You'd have a ball with mine. 😁
More power to you Chris..I could never deal with so many low grade cards..I wouldn't know where start..But you do a great job figuring it out and making both parties happy...Congrats on the deal..
Wish you was closer to me in Maryland always selling
These collection buying videos are great very informative and honest thanks for the entertainment
Let's not forget those 9-Pocket Card pages average about 25 cents each when you buy them in bulk.
You really should consider that, as it adds up.
I’ve always luvd seeing/collecting vintage cards, I luv the history
These breakdowns are so thorough and educational. I really appreciate you taking the time to do these! I just sold a number of lots of late 70s and early 80s, and wasn't sure how I did. This video helped confirm that my prices landed right around where they probably should have. Thanks!!!
Great stuff! VERY fair as usual. I really wish more dealers were like you. Like myself, you love the hobby too.
Very awesome video. When the time comes for me to sell my cards I definitely will be contacting you. You have seemed to be very consistent and fair in your offers and that is appreciated.
Those are the type of cards that someone that just liked to collect and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for high grade cards, I would of been proud to of owned those. Makes you wonder though if someone got to those first and took the bigger cards from the collection especially the partial sets. Good deal.
I go to a lot of shows and flea markets, estate sales etc and I have never came across cards like this at this price I think it’s a steal of a price. Awesome Chris , super fun and therapeutic to me sorting thru a potential large buy , back on the road till I can find a deal like this lol. Keep up the good work
That's my kind of find, right there.
Enjoy the videos! Like the vintage stuff.
I can only hope my channel becomes close to what yours is one day!!! Your awesome
Nice to see how you do business.
Holy...........
Awesome as always!
The Mantle WS HR card has been appreciating in value lately. I guess it represents one of the last affordable Mantle cards for collectors to acquire.
I had several copies of that Mantle WS card that I had graded. Sold one to the one only George Constanza.
I have 76 right on up to '21. Would love to get a 75 as that's my birth year. I also do have a complete 68 topps in excellent plus including the Ryan Rc. If I'm ever able to get a rose rc, I would try to do 63. Thanks for such great content!
Great breakdown of the collection. Really enjoyed watching it.
When buying a collection of cards from ‘76-80 what would you pay per card? Mostly common and some stars
I actually no longer buy commons from the late 70s. I'll pay $0.50 for the stars (assuming mid grade). Major stars (Ryan, Brett, key RCs, etc) will be more
That was fun.
Really nice collection to sort through. Seems like it was a fair price. I’m interested in getting a 76 starter set. That would have been a nice one. Thanks for sharing.
I have a cool one in pretty nice shape
I like that 1954 Dick Groat card. What a cool collection!
Great show Chris
Is the one card with a player in diamond with 4 other players on each side a 1963 Topps. I use to own some when I was a kid but forgot what year they were.
Yes that is a 1963 Topps League Leaders card
my favorite series if you could call it one!
Great pickups 🍭 🍼
I would not be opposed to a 2 hour video!
Great work as always. Love your videos
Another good video, great breakdown. Thanks Chris!
Nicely done!
Makes me think that I’m putting to high a price on my vintage commons. Probably should start at .50 and not $1.
Love this guy thank you
Chris...this is the kind of mystery lot I love looking through. Nice work.
I need ONE card, 1975 Topps Baseball Mini #647-Claudell Washington, extremely hard to find CENTERED.
Very cool, I love the way you break everything down Chris - very informative for us “novices” in the hobby!
Wow, I would have loved the opportunity to buy a collection like that, but completely understand that you've had to earn the right.
I have a huge collection of vintage cards like this one
Love these videos. Your the fairest dealer out there. 👍
Gr8 collection purchase video Chris.. It's always nice to see the breakdowns of each category of years and players on how much you pay.. You are certainly very fair.. Well done.. Stay safe all..👍💕🔥⚾😷
Love these videos. So fun to watch
Hey Chris. Do you have an EBay store? Would you mind sharing? Trying to decide what to sell and buy in my collection. It isn’t major but it is fun
I do have an eBay store “sewall” although it is closed at the moment as I am travelling
Anyone who involves themselves with Jermey Donson is a great guy. Love your videos
I know nothing of baseball cards and have never been a fan of baseball and yet I just randomly watched this whole video, that was......interesting
Very impressive. I got to get you here or Jeremy to Cleveland, Ohio so you can see my collection one day 😁.
Glad you are back & great video once again
How do I message you about a huge collection I’m putting up for sale?
you’re back! yay 😁 ❤️
The Aikman and rice look like they have been out in the sun
I recommend anyone watching this video that has a similar or higher end collection they want to sell to contact Chris ~ he is very fair and more important honest with his offers.
Thank you for that
Don't know Chris, but feel like I do. Comes across as very honest fellow. Like me baseball cards are in the blood.
Where could I get the information I would need to send you a collection to potentially buy?
You can email me at sewallsportscards@gmail.com
I told my wife if something ever happens to me to contact u to sale my fortune lol
I really enjoy your videos. It’s obvious you’ve been doing this on a large scale for a long time. Considering what I know about retail, they shoot for 2 to 5x what they pay. It seems like you’re paying on the low end of that scale. Since this is such a financially and time intense investment, Do you think you could pay less without missing out on deals? People will not be able to get what you do for large lots
What does "high numbers" mean?
High numbers were the last series of cards with the highest card numbers (like #550-640 for example). In the 60s they are usually the rarest cards and most valuable
i got those same scissors.
I'm glad to see a video it's been a few days since last one. Somedays your videos are the highlight of my day. It's always a pleasure to see how you break down the collections you buy. Had any luck selling the Ripken PC you got from me?
Still working through the Ripkens. Im not really in a rush to sell :)
Every time I see a Keith Hernandez card, it reminds me of that one Seinfeld episode 3:24. 🤣
Back. And to the left.
"you better look at the third base coach, cause i don't think he's waving you in." Something like that, Elaine..lol
Chris, that looks exactly like my collection in which I told you I now have the knowledge to start the process of liquidating my collection, which I have ,by selling 30 card mystery packs at $3.75 -5.75 and now to get an actual get a visual of what you actually think about this collection.is like you're evaluating my collection without actually having to look at it physically, so now feel confident in my decision with these mystery packs, some are $5.75 if it has a HOF ,or big time star, Hernandez, Brett,or Ryan, obviously those cards are worth at least a $1.00 anyway thanks again for sharing this video, very informative..
Why do mystery packs? Whoever may want to buy these types of cards would be looking for specific cards to fill a set or a player they collect, right? Mystery packs seem like a way to get rid of product for more than it might sell for on it's own. The buyer is hoping for more than what you put into a "mystery pack".. otherwise, why would they buy it? When they do buy it and already have those cards or don't want what they got, seems pointless.
I would suggest being transparent with the sale and you will have a satisfied buyer.
Mystery packs! 😂 I’m sorry! Not trying to be mean here but come on…. Give me a break- I’m going to start selling my 1991 score mystery packs, stay tuned!
@@gzhoezv9933 I inherited a collection from my uncle when he passed, I don't collect cards, and i am single no kids, and don't know what to do with them, and they look exactly like the one Chris is evaluating, and yes i have them in packs of 30 cards,at .10 a card why don't you purchase one before criticizing me. it's not a card dump, there only $3.75 on eBay tctaylor68, I don't understand how you have an opinion on something you are totally unaware of, anyway, thanks for the comment. Enjoy your weekend
@@walterdudedonny transparent how, I am not trying to get rich, by selling individual Cards, I inherited a huge vintage/modern collection from my uncle, i have no interest in selling Cards, I am single no kids and don't collect cards, so i was advised by someone (youtube)to put them in packs and call them random/or mystery. instead of trying to sell it in whole to a collector, and not everyone is trying to get over on someone, by doing them wrong, try and think positive for once....have a great day
@@walterdudedonny by the way I sought Chris' advice, and he's the one who told me to liquidate them in packs, at .10-50 cent. A card.
I have some vintage baseball and football collected from buying others collections but would like to sell them in order to continue PC'ing personal favorites. Any chance you'd be interested in looking? I don't normally comment on videos, what's the best way to get in contact?
You can email me at sewallsportscards@gmail.com
Only way people can enjoy collecting , investing, and selling like chris does is to have a paid off house and no debt.
He isn't collecting these particular cards. He is going to re-sell them. He pays higher than most dealers, but he will sell and make some money on the deal.
BRUCE LEE at the end of the day this is business.... what does a business need to operate? Profit! Stop being so goddamn naive
Fun fact: Ryne Sandberg was named after Ryne Duren @ 05:00 (bottom middle)
That is a great TIDBIT! Thanks
I had to look him up...
Rinold George "Ryne" Duren was an American relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. He was known for the combination of his blazing fastball and his very poor vision. With his thick eyeglasses, few batters dared to dig in against Duren. Wikipedia
One of these days, Chris. Have all the 4 major sports plus some NASCAR dating to '63.
The 1963 set included a guy you likely never heard of who hurt himself in Spring Training that year named Steve Dalkowski who reportedly threw 110 mph. He had a rookie card in the set, but never played in the majors due to the injury.
Dalkowski couldn't throw enough strikes to make it.
@@blueodum What do you know about it? He threw enough strikes to strike out Mantle and Maris.
@@drbonesshow1 Numbers don't lie. Everyone who's studied baseball of the era knows the Dalkowski story.
@@drbonesshow1 1236 walks in 956 minor league innings.
@@blueodum And 1324 strikeouts, but what he did after the 1963 arm injury was largely irrelevant.
Where are you selling the 1972 topps baseball?
Hi Chris, I really love how honest and professional you are. It’s really refreshing to see. I have a vintage card collection you might be interested. How do I contact you?
You can email me at sewallsportscards@gmail.com
How do you filter out junk wax? That’s gonna be tough someone send you a bunch of cards and turns out they aren’t even worth the cost of shipping
I pre-screen every collection that is sent to me to make sure that it is worth both our time
When making lots for ebay do you sort by, player, set, team, era, sport? Do you have a vid that covers this?
I believe he has an ebay store but not sure
Ebay store. In description.
Thanks, but the store is either currently closed or out of stock
Yeah I have an ebay store but its closed at the moment since I am travelling. I have not done a video on making lots, but I may at some point
@@collectorinvestordealer Thanks, enjoy your travels
I've collected since about 1980, heavily since 2001. A moving situation is fastly approaching and my collection needs to go.. I can't however ship it for appraisal because it's pretty massive. What would you suggest for this type of a deal from the sellers stand point? Love your videos. Thank you.
Perhaps a post on facebook marketplace or craigs list. Youll need to find a local buyer if you can not ship it.
Where do you live?
@@DaveDurango Utah
@@collectorinvestordealer Thanks for the reply, It is definately a large truck or small uhaul trailer situation :) Massive value though so I'm hoping someone will enjoy it like I have.
I’m salivating! Partial sets in good shape without the “stars” don’t bother me, especially with the vintage cards. Might be my downfall.
Insert evil laugh....Now we know your downfall! Prepare for your demise!
I'm curious as to how much you consider PayPal fees and IRS taxes when you buy collections like this. That's a huge cost.
Pay cash and don't report it to the IRS
Lose lose situation between the buyer and seller. Not good for the hobby. Thank you Biden!
He reports it.
@@sonnydacuse7622 you do realize that if every small business reported every dime to the IRS they would go out of business... plus look at all the ridiculous tax write-offs big corporations receive... you sound very naive my friend... oh and political party don't matter they are both equally crooked
@@stevengallant6363 found soy boy liberal...always so emotional
I have a football card collection I like
To sell if you still buy cards .
Some 70s
80
90
Mostly stars MVP's
Sorry I Sold my Collection To A Dealer I bought most of my cards from Anyways. Well have a great Weekend.
How much was the shipping on a collection that size and who pays it?
It costs about $25 to ship a large flat rate box. The seller pays for that.
How do I get a hold of you Chris about selling you my collection and sending you pictures of it and whatnot
You can email me at sewallsportscards@gmail.com
I have a collection that I'd be very interested in selling. How do I contact you directly?
