Great video. It's especially good to me, because i own a reezen and my local shop fitted a drop away for me and the whale tail broke on the first shot. In the end they told me that it didn't work because the reezen was before drop away rests were invented. Sounded like bs to me and this video confirms it. Thank you
You don't need a bow press to do serving. The more taught the string is the easier it is to serve your string, be it a peep sight, your main nocking serving etc.
With a tension rest, it should go down as you start to let down. I you're using a QAD you have to make sure the cable from your rest is tight then adjust from there. Other than that, an old timer trick is to get some red lip stick and put it on the vane you think it would hit, shoot it and see if any rubbed off onto your launcher blade either adjust your rest cable timing or rotate your vanes.
Your bow will more than likely explode. Idk what kind of bow you have but if its a 60-70 pound bow I'd either do it this way or take it to someone with a bow press.
@@StealthandSteelOutdoors I have a muzzy bow fishing bow that I’ve recently converted to a regular bow with pin sights, whisker biscuit rest, peep sight, stabilizer, d loop, and quiver. I’ve loosened the limbs until the strings were completely limped to put on the peep sight and then I just tight the limbs back to normal. Please forgive my naivety, I am still very new to archery. Can you please explain how this could make my bow explode? Btw, my bow is maxed out at 45 lbs.
I actually think that it is laughable at this point. I just trying to give archers an alternative to spending more money for help when I can engineer around a problem that everyone will run into. But thank you for your kind words!
Theres a product called bow master press. You can build a bow box to hold riser. Can own own press for less than 40. But if u have perallel gotta get L brackets
Oh yea! One more accessory working flawlessly, ill keep the stick on though just in case. What I did to extend the functionality is do a sort of fisherman's clinch knot to maximize the grip the cord had on the bow string. Now I don't have to look like a stupid little shit who bought the biggest thing in the shop and doesn't know what to do with it lol.
I have a Matthews MIssion, so I should be fine. Also, just fyi to all your haters on this page, this guy says to do the exact same thing @ 6:00: ruclips.net/video/05oxB52RgQM/видео.html Thanks for the heads up, I was wondering how to do this.
Not really a high dollar setup I got here, its off a iPhone 5 and I was using a pine stand I built from scratch. So yeah the angles a little fucked up but the information is good.
Rick Hand I’m sorry my iPhone 5s quality wasn’t good enough for you. Maybe you should buy me better equipment and I’d not only upload more but better content. Which I know you’re not going to fuckin’ do that so why complain about it? It’s free and I’ve helped close to 30,000 people with this by only making maybe 30$ on a rest that cost me 60$. So before you go bashing me at 18 either have a solution or keep your comment yourself.
@@StealthandSteelOutdoors Amen on that brother people complain n comment with negative replys!! When they should be saying thx for the simple n free setup method saves a trip to the bowshop where they would have been charged to Press the bow and install the down cord!!!! Excellent tips Thx!! 👍👍👍
ever seen a release or a d-loop fail. You are just setting a good example of what not to do for all the people just getting into the sport. I have repaired countless bows (with some being total write-offs), by doing just what you were showing them...just sayin'.
He has a point about putting an arrow in just in case you could use an arrow without a tip , to make it safer and still load the bow incase of a misfire !!

I’m glad it helped!
Good idea. Definitely helpful if your arrow rest doesn’t come with a cable clamp and you don’t want to screw around with serving into the cable.
It’s a fix but not permanent.
Thanks for the tutorial I plan on getting a drop away arrow rest soon
Appreciate it!
Awesome video dude. Got mine all set up perfect. Thanks!
You're welcome brotha
Great...better than bumb plastic clamps and separating string lol
It is. I’ve had troubles with them in the past with the plastic clamps so I had to figure out a different way to do it. I’m glad it helped!
great video , thanks for the help I really appreciate it
Hell yeah man.
Please let me know if this works for your setup! Please rate comment and subscribe!
Some of the video was block out because the camera was too low. I don’t know how anyone else able to see the first several minutes.
They skipped ahead and saw me tie a knot. Also considering I was 14 when I made this video it’s pretty good.

Cool.

Awesome! But how do you know if the rest is dropping on time so you don’t get fletch contact though?

G&C Outdoors okay
What is the downside of loosening your limbs until the strings are loose enough to spread and then tightening it backup when done vs a bow press?

Larry Lutes I might have to look into getting one of those, thanks for the comment Larry!
What kind of knot? I couldn’t hear or see anything
It’s a standard D-Loop knot. There’s a video on my channel on how to tie it.

Haha..same thing.. not going anywhere
Hell yeah
Good video man, so it looks like this works because you are setting your d-loop just below the serving, is that right?
TheNameYahuwah correct. If you have an older Elite or any Hoyt, use a brass nocking point on your do-ward action buss cable and then follow the video.

TheNameYahuwah damn just when I thought I had an idea of my own lol.
I just done this exact thing before I watched this video.
Anything to save a buck!
I just can't hear a damn thing you're saying thanks for the effort though
Thanks for you comment.
how much u paid for that rest?
German Murillo 30$
your angle of the camera is all wrong

what you say ??
I said “I think your mother and father are brother and sister.”
mush mouth here did a bad presentation , if you work on it a little more it would be much more informative...

I was waiting for the dry fire....drawing without an arrow....total nube
innerloc100 can't dry fire if you don't pull the trigger lol
I think many people pull their bows for practice without arrows. Lol first time in all my years of living of seeing someone with this comment.

innerloc100 if the bow would've gone off, regardless of what happened, do you really think I would've uploaded it? Most likely not my dude.
