    Nice job. One thing to consider is to do serving with your strings still under tension. The bundle will be at its smallest diameter then.

    You do well explaining what you're doing. A pretty good teacher in other words. Good job.

    That's smart as heck putting the drop away cord through the strings.

    Nice video on the initial set up of your rest. Found your tricks with the arrow shafts to get it in the ball park very helpful! Keep the videos coming!

    Good video. Only one comment though. He threads the timing string from the rest through the down cable at the 3” point then cuts it and melts the end. That’s fine but gives no scope for adjustment. Also Trophyridge suggest you pull the string through the cable by about 1/2”. What I did was to pull the string through then make a figure-of-eight knot to terminate the string against the serving on the cable, and leave some spare string in case i need to adjust the timing. I can always trim it later.

    I have a really old compund bow the two crossing strings are plasticized cables and the pulleys have a diameter of about 1 1/2"
    I have a feeling Im going to have to settle for a whisker biscuit.

      Have you looked into limb driven rests? Trophy taker makes a good one

    I served below the mushroom as well as above...I just feel it should be

      I used to. And than realized its kind a waste of time. Even if it moves up on the cable it will still move into proper position when drawing

    Just for the record, a "bowmaster" IS a bow press. Just not the large expensive type.

    I would never trust just that simple mushroom to hold my rest in place. It can slide up your string or what if it pulls through? Who gets that one? I am new to this but I see a big problem wit the way you just did that! Why would you not tie it in?

    • @BrandonKalos
      @BrandonKalos  7 лет назад +2

      Mike Armstrong it's been done this way for years. not just me. go to any bow shop and they do the same thing

    • @BrandonKalos
      @BrandonKalos  7 лет назад +1

      Mike Armstrong I tied it in at 6:38

      Mike Armstrong I don't take offense. people do a lot of things differently. it's worked for me for thousands of shots

      Can you please show me where you tied the string in? I watched it again and you never did that! All you did was burnt the end of the string for the rest (and stuck it to your main string) I don't think that's smart and I would never have someone do that to my strings! That's not tied in! That's stop for it not to move up! What about a pull through? IfI saw a bow shop do that to my bow I would be pissed!
