Thanks bud, I did the same thing... replaced the sensors first...didn't work. I kept the old ones for later since they probably aren't bad. Ordered the speaker.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I replaced all 4 of the sensors on my 2004 F150. It took all of 30 minutes. I love RUclips for fixing or doing things myself.
This is a very tight area and my OEM speaker was very affixed. At first, I thought I had to remove the black box but actually the speaker was attached to the box. It would have been better if you had shown the actual area before covering it up. I appreciated the informative video and ended up replacing the speaker & sensors. Thanks again for all you do making your videos and look forward to seeing your next video!
Sure wish you would have shown exactly where the back up speaker went, kind of hard to see with nothing but closeup video.... and I can't find the link for getting one on Amazon. Today hasn't been my day. lol
How about a video on how to turn off the backup sensor while towing a trailer with a 2010 F150? YES FORD I KNOW THERES SOMETHING RIGHT BEHIND MY TRUCK! YOU PUT THE TRAILER RECEIVER HITCH ON THERE !
Don, you are correct, those sensors that are on the inside that you are talking about are difficult to get to. But I as a woman I have smaller hands and longer finernails. So I spread the clips apart while my husband pushed the sensors in to get it out of the bracket that was holding the sensors in. So if you can find a female willing to help you with that part of the job it will go a lot easier for you. But you might want to warn her that she may have to get a little dirt on her face, LOL
I have a 2016 F-150 with a faulty backup sensor. It looks like there is a chip on the sensor. I may have to repair the whole thing. I am first going to try using black fingernail polish on the chip and see if that gets the alarm to shut up. It's very distracting backing up when the alarm is screaming at you.
While I certainly appreciate the work you've done to put out this informative video, I have to say that the background music is too loud, repetitive and super annoying... and totally unnecessary. After 4 minutes I was ready to turn this off, but really wanted the information you had to offer.

Thank you for the video, 2003 exc here, same issue.

My 2018 F250 backup sensors are acting up and it seems the inside ones are impossible to get to and remove/replace due to the hitch assembly.

The sensors are super easy to replace and cheap. Not sure if the 2016 has the same ones or not though. Good luck!
13 minutes forget it
Exact same problem 05 f250. Super easy fix
