Same thing happened on my '07 Suburban, a sensor went bad so the system stays off. They were pretty pricey (genuine GM made by Bosch in Mexico) so I only bought one. I was by myself and didn't have a way to figure out which one was the bad one, so I guessed which one it was and replaced it. No good, so I tried another one and replaced it with the one I had just removed (yes, gambling that only one went bad since I didn't want to buy any more of them). No good. Guess number three was wrong too. With only one left I was worried that the system would not work (i.e. more than one bad one), but it fixed the job. So I only bought one sensor, but replaced (swapped) all four of them to fix it. Perfect fix and it has gone for many years since without trouble. You really need these in large vehicles, and newer ones that you can no longer see out the back of due to the high sills...
instead of replacing all of them because ford wants 140 each sensor well at least in IL without all the scanning equipment put the excursion in reverse have someone hold the brake go to the sensors and put your ear to each of them you should hear a clicking noise comeing from each one if you don’t then that’s the one that went bad, maybe a easy way to hear it is put a flat head screw drive on it and put your ear at the end of the flat head the sound will vibrate thru the tool and to your ear. hope that helps anyone else in this issue
$140 a sensor ? Wow... for that kind of money, I'd just get out and look. p.s. I've always been a big fan, Garlic Bread. You're doing great work, keeping up the sales of toothpaste, mouthwash, and breath mints everywhere !
I bought aftermarket backup sensors for my 06 f250 from 1a auto, they were comeplete junk, after 2 replacement sets I finally had enough and bought genuine ford sensors. To this day they still work perfect, that was 3 years ago
Hi Daniel, love your videos! I have a quick question, we recently purchased a 2013 F150 ecoboost, what are your opinions on the engine? Reliability? Also with this truck it has rust on the frame (nothing serious yet) but what recommendations do you have to cover the rust up and make sure it doesn’t spread? Thanks!
Hi sir. HELP!!! I got the wrong oil on my rear axle. Driving for 2 months now. 75W-90. I supose to have 75W-140. I have add around a halv litre on my rear axle, after i change the wheelbearings. I will change all the oil very soon. Will this damage anything????
I need you to fix the back seat left window not going back up after it get rolled down one day in an excursion. I’m having that problem and rear vent windows from opening up :). Thank you. Love your videos
Have you heard of FORscan? It's free software that allows you to interface with every module and read individual codes on ford vehicles. I used it to add keyless entry to my crown vic.
This same repair sequence happens when hardwired smoke detectors in a home go bad. Even professional electricians choose to simply replace all, arguing that it is hard to tell which one is bad and others are soon to go bad as well. Philosophically, the idea of throwing three good sensors or detectors into our mountain of trash is hard to swallow. Engineers who work in the industry spend very little time thinking or even caring about end of life issues. I wonder if there may be a way to tell in retrospect which sensor was bad....
Do you have a link on where to go buy the sensors ? Can’t seem to find some that fit a 2000 excursion
I just cleaned out the connectors really well put some Dielectric grease and they work good as new
Wow! What a burnout! I could smell the smoke from here!

That sounds so crazy, it's got to work!
Thank's
How did you reach the ones behind the trailer hitch? Drop the hitch?
Nice burnout!
You showed the two easy ones; how did you access the ones blocked by the hitch bracket assembly?
I am trying to do that right NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a very handy feature to have in a Ford excursion, didn't know they have them back in 2001 though.
you should make a cleaning video of the truck. Take care of it man ;)
Great video. More Excursion videos ☺️👍
Thanks for the video, 2003 exc here with the same issue…
Could you do a vid on how to fix the security pad on the door?
Nice to see you Daniel! Nice Video Thank You !

My sensors went out and my aftermarket backup camera stopped working. Could they be linked together and maybe that’s why my camera doesn’t work?
Where are the 4 sensor located on a 2003 Ford excursion when it comes to upstream and downstream
Good job man hope this fixxes mine. Are sensors only available from ford?
I don't know who else makes them, but if Dorman makes them, don't waste your time or money with theirs.
@@stanpatterson5033 im with you on dorman no way.
They’re not only available from Ford but I would recommend getting Ford parts. Aftermarket parts like these typically don’t hold up as well.
You roasting tires and I need a set so bad !
Do y'all still have the 97 Silverado?
My Cargo Reverse Lights Are ALWAYS On , Even When My Truck Is Off; Any Idea? 97 F150 Xl
Do you use oem ford sensors?

How much are they and where can I get them

Have 98 Chevy suburban reverse beeping stop working where could sensor be not on bumper I can't find them

Brent Chastain it’s probably the back door window switch or the master switch on the driver door.
My front passenger window does the same thing.
The title was just backup 😂
Great Video....
haven't heard the one on my 2002 Ex beep in about 6 years
Hi my dad has a diesel truck and he wants to know what that thing called above the bed on the truck he reallly wants it
What?

Camper shell... he not from around here

Very helpful
You should install glow shift gauges on that beast I would love to see it
What engine is in that truck is it the 6.7
7.3 boi
@@notasolution thank you
My 7.3 excursion do ent have enough power to roast tires. It won’t even spin them
Plenty of videos on how to restore lost power... and how much weight in back.. my 8ft bed keeps a solid 1200 pounds of tools in it at all time
That’s crazy I have the v10 model and I spin tires anytime I accelerate too fast

Sometimes these small details can drive owners crazy but it can be done with a little know how
You need reverse sensors for that beast. lol
You should get an ELM327 and download Forscan
Better make sure all your brake lines have no rust. 20 people died in a stretch excursion limo upstate ny here cause of a rusty axle brake line.
I cant belive that thing is still running any ford i had i cant get past 150k without the transmission failing
You're buying the worst Fords then
@@NGGPeter Only owned 2 1999 F150 5.4 overdrive and reverse failed and then a 2001 taurus 3.0 got stuck with no gears so ford really screwed me
James Most well these trucks will ever die.
not so cheap on newer color coded ford bumpers, think i would have found the bad one instead of being a parts changer
If one went out how long on the others
what happens if all the sensors click and are working? Also, you must own a tire shop... burnin that rubber down aint cheap
I hate this damn thing I just want to permanently remove it
