I’m an obsessive checker - still in the ALS rabbit hole, it’s getting a bit better than it was but the amount of strength tests I’ve done is absolutely crazy. In fact in the past two months I’ve managed to injure my foot and hand doing crazy exercises which only goes to fuel the anxiety more thinking it’s the ALS setting in and weakness beginning. What an awful, awful thing HA is, it’s absolutely crippling and happy to speak to anyone on here as reckon it’s much better to talk and share as oppose to bottling it up

Can’t stop checking my pulse constantly. Any time I get a weird sensation in my chest I’ll check to see if my hearts still beating and it’ll either be way too fast or too slow and startle me further. Just a constant never ending cycle.

This is one of the things that's keeps me engaged is the self checking and reassurance seeking . It is tough but that's a great idea

This thing sucks. I am honestly convinced it is caused by demons. This thing always comes back to bite me every year. When you know you are genuinely objectively healthy, there will still be terrible thoughts and voices in your mind that keep trying to convince you that you have a disease. It is so annoying. This thing is excruciatingly painful to deal with. It makes you live in perpetual, excessive worry and fear about a disease you probably don't even have. I hate my life

I think I have every single possible type of anxiety you can have, it’s crippling, depressing, scary, I had extreme weakness recently, Doctors have reassured me that it’s psychosomatic and all down to anxiety, so then those symptoms went away and now I have new burning skin symptoms and haven’t left my bed for 4 days since I went to the doctors 🙁 so worried I’m never going to be normal again and live a happy life, im on my 4th day of sertraline and I really pray they work, atm im freaking out about lots of things to do with my body , and im so depressed I can literally not move around I can’t bring myself to do it, no appetite, lost weight, which I don’t mind. It’s like a endless feeling every morning of no hope it’s the scariest darkest time of my life I never thought it would get this bad, the other day I was taken off the Severn bridge because I got to such a low point, I got a Uber there from thornbury, wrote a note on the bridge, and thought that was it for me. It’s so scary being scared to die but scared to live. I hope I never get to the point I did the other day because of this but I doubt it, it’s hard. Your video on twitching helped me cure my anxiety for my twitching and I haven’t worried at all since I watched it, thankyou for that x

I can understand bro..just try to keep away from google and thats it you ll completely start becoming happy again once the physical effect of anxiety leaves your body...have patience and just learn to say NO to searching....just get yourself checked by the doctor that's it

you really help me feel better
i feel like i cannot take it anymore.
it started off with fasculations that were persistent for a year, i never thought too much of it, but than i started to google, than my first thought was ms or als. the past two months now, my fingers started twitching, than i do more research and later on start getting numbness in my legs and feet. Now im getting numbness in random spots for a few seconds - tip of my finger, my arm, just random places. When i mention my symptoms to my loved ones - they reassure me its just my health anxiety. I mentioned the tingly feeling to my primary doctor and she told me its just my anxiety. I never got any mris or seen a neurolgist. I fear theyll find something, but than ill never get peace of mind. my mind is constantly rolling. i had no appetite for food today bc i was just thinking about every sensation in my body.

Hi Cherelle, thanks for the video and I'm a checker so your tip really helped.
From your experience, what is the root cause of health anxiety?
Is it past trauma, physical issues, psychological imbalances or a combo of all of them?
I suspect it's different for different people.
I dont know if I'm wrong here but I think the only way to cure health anxiety is to cure the root cause of it whatever that maybe.
Thanks for your videos, as they really help.
    Thanks👍

You have hit the nail on the head for me. I was a googler not anymore I know it’s lies. I did frequently visit the doctor sobbing thinking I was dying. I’m now checking for breast cancer and it’s frustrating. It’s to the point where The smallest thing I feel could be a symptoms. I’m so scared I wake up not wanting to take a shower. I do but I ak in panic mode every ache check, every movement check. It’s exhausting.

    How to get shredded:
For every check, Google or thinking about an illness for longer than 10 seconds, do 5 pushups. You'll get abs and stop the worry.

@@cherellethinks That's sad sorry to hear her demons are keeping her from such a happy occasion, mine was a weird case really, was absolutely consumed by anxiety symptoms but it definitely wasn't health anxiety as she could sit through anything, she developed gangrene on her foot and didnt even tell a doctor, just sat and rubbed it on the carpet until it caused a clot that hospitalized her, she had absolutely no fear of dying either, i think she was exhausted from living with something so shit which really didn't have much explanation other than genetics i guess.
