I get this for myself and my kids
I dont google symptoms .....cos i am scared to see the answer. I dont go to the doctor .....cos i am scared of them. Apparently that makes me technically NOT someone with health anxiety, according to the last CBT bird i saw.
This is me 💯 I avoid everything at all costs. But that’s not safe. But I can’t make myself go for routine tests. I’ve experienced years of the opposite end…googling, over visiting gp. Now o avoid to the extreme. But the worry of avoiding is equally as bad
@emmaburgess7535 I know. Its a catch 22 situation.
Because you are still engaging in avoidance. You are avoiding going to the GP.
I also avoid. But I even when I do go, it doesn’t change my fear of uncertainty and need for control. We’re in flight all the time and it’s running our lives. Theanxioustruth podcast is very helpful.

I am tired i need help health anxiety is horrible 😞
Me, too. I need help. This is not the way to live life. In fact, this is not living at all.
This shakey cams giving me anxiety, lock it down I reckon the colour and the frame itself are lovely but the camera shaking ever so slightly all the time is kind of distracting just stick it on a tripod
People always refer to those with Health Anxiety as going to the Doctor for Tests and not being satisfied or convinced with the Results; but what about those of us who are TERRIFIED to go for Tests - in case we have what we think we have?? I’ve never found anyone in these kinds of Videos to refer to this particular problem, There’s no solution to that; you just sit and fret, and fret, and fret, and fret, and fret. and so on and so on.. Because you cannot resolve it, when you are too scared to go find out... So you just ‘freeze’.
