It brings joy to the soul to know Merry and Pippin are friends on this earth aswell as middle earth.
Exactly!!
All the hobbits are friends to this day
Are you guys going to stream the Hobbits playing League? 10/10 would watch.
That is going to go viral if it happens 100% guaranteed
I think the 4 need to play dungeons and dragons together as halflings and have a fellow celebrity dm, maybe say Stephen Colbert since they are all such good friends
@@chefboycc5448 oh man!!! 25/10 would watch that hahaha
@@FacundoTupac yeah banger incoming
Oh my yes absolutely
Can’t wait to see Viggo on the show!
I might die if viggo comes on
Would love to see Liv “Arwen” as well!
Elessar, Elfstone aaaaaaah thr King of Gondor!!
Viggo, Orlando, Liv and Sean Bean lolol yesss and John Davies for sure! Get the whole fellowship!
Ever since Elijah was on, I’ve been telling my husband I can’t imagine what it would be like if a LOTR fan was playing League of Legends and all of a sudden heard all four hobbits on the mics talking and laughing with each other.
I want this so much. Would be amazing to hear and watch a live recording of all four playing the game together and see if anyone online recognized them.
I need to see them play Clash
Lord of the Rings Online.
"It was an egg cooked on a bunsen burner' - dying ;D
Billy losing his mind at John’s facts about the gum is a new highlight of the podcast.
Ikr?!!
Sean Astin, is a very precise person, and willing to correct other people about it. And I love him for it.
I don't know why but I just relish the way Dom says "FanTAStic" every time lol
Yeah reminds me of Christopher Eccleston when he says it too
Absolutely love how passionate Sean is about his interests.
How genuine in Sean Astin! He’s actually Sam
I would love to hear a quick 5 min story from Dom about how he got cast in the Love The Way You Lie music video and his experience on the set. I believe it was the first hip hop video to hit a billion views and I have never heard him speak about that experience.
"Yeah, yeah! I just started looking it up yesterday. It looks...it looks ok..." 😂
Hobbits playing League of legends needs to be a special episode
League!! Of!! Legends!! Hobbits!! Special!! Dudududududuuuuuu
They need to stream this somewhere
Twitch time boyz!
I love that they call speedbumps "sleeping policemen", lol.
In Serbia, we call it "laying policeman" :D
I know they're called Sleeping Policemen in Jamaica, as well -- unsurprising. We got a great giggle out of that, when we visited.
In Panama, we call it "dead Policeman" xD
We also call them "sleeping policeman" here in Indonesia...
@@kayzeroth same in the DR
Seeing these three swap stories and casually compliment each other and lift each other up was awesome! Love their friendship!
Absolutely love this channel! 🙌🏽
Such genuinely great guys
Is it good enough to be a part of your...morning routine?
Lmao dre drexler is here!
The bunsen burner joke became bigger than the story ;D
Sean’s great. Favourite guest so far. He is a GREAT storyteller. Would love to see him on the podcast again. 🤩
_"For the last year and a half I've been vegan. And then I had a steak"_ :D :D XD
At this point I'm convinced John is just trolling them, at least I HOPE that's what's going on
Sean is a total legend, first a gooney, and then a hobbit!
I can’t decide which had me laugh crying more: Billy absolutely losing it over John’s facts or Dom’s burps.
46:53
Billy: Oh, you MUST do it then! We'll do it with you!
Dom: *vigorously denying any association with the man next to him
Why is it so great seeing buddies just be buddies? This is by far the most enjoyable show I've ever listened to.
I think at the end of each “season” you guys should give a shout out to the highest scoring food of that “season” with the total points out of 30 it got
Good thinking!
Omg the index finger story😂😂 I’m crying!
I love that Dominic calls Billy “ Bills”. I had an old friend that called me that.
I love that Billy is a genuine fan of Sean
I wish billy did all commercials. He makes products sound legitimately awesome
My wish for future Friendship Onion podcasts, the ladies of LOTR Liv Tyler, Cate Blanchett, Miranda Otto, John Noble, Jed Brophy, Bernard Hill, Andy Serkis, Hugo Weaving, Virgo Mortensen, Sean Bean, John Rays Davies, Orlando Bloom, Karl Urban, David Wenham, and of course, Sir Ian McKellen, as well as Peter, Fran, and Philippa.
John Noble would be amazing! Loved him in LotR and Fringe. Absolutely loved when he showed up as Karl Urban's father on The Boys, forgot he was Australian!
One of the highlights of my week.
Its like hanging out with two friends
Sean Astin has a new fan! :)
Looking forward to when Sean comes to the studio. Really hope it happens🤞🏻
Amazed at how different Dominic's voice is from his LOTR character.
Billy & Dom "Who's on First" is what I want.
My Frodo Build a Bear arrived as I was watching this episode. My heart is so happy.
It's wonderful seeing that so many of you are still such good mates after all these years.
I love, when Rudy transitioned into Col. Sanders.
I just saw "The Goonies", with my daughter. I hadn't seen it since the year it came out. Wow! There were a lot of scary scenes, for a kids film.
Sean Astin is great, at playing characters that are all heart.
I LOVE the Goonies!!! I might be a Goonie 😉
I could listen to Sean talk for hours.
What a great episode. Again. It's just a shame that apart from Elijah none of the guests have been in the studio so far. But it's still great to watch the show. I'm looking forward to next week. Thanks Billy and Dom and everyone who sponsors the podcast.
im living for the recurring bunsen burner joke i can't-
That ending was a total shitshow. I was dying the whole time
Billy is the least helpful person when someone is looking for a word. :D
Is it dinosaur? 😆
21.37: Wellington's paper is called the Dominion Post! (Wellingtonian here thrilled to hear about your favourite restaurants :D )
I'm a wellingtonian too! So wild to hear them talking about all the restaurants and suburbs around town.
Hey to all Wellintonians! I realise this post Is 2 years old now but I'm coming to visit New Zealand for my honeymoon soon and when I tried searching for the places they spoke about I couldn't find them. I would love to go to some of the resturants the cast went to! Do you know if they still exist or not?
Failing that would you recommend any good places to go to?
The first time I watched Rudy was during a high school class trip. We were doing college visitations, and Notre Dame was on our itinerary. Having watched the movie hours before made stepping onto the campus a surreal experience...almost like stepping into the film. Love that movie (thanks, Mr. Astin 👏🏽!).
Ken Baker had a Rolls? That is the happiest bit of trivia I've heard in a good while.
It's both great and bittersweet to see this. Great for the nostalgia, and the reunion of the people who made possible for us the greatest film franchise in modern cinematic history. Bittersweet because it was 20 years ago, nothing like it will ever happen again, and these guys have lost a lot of the memories because they have done so many other projects since.
The chaotic ending was perfection :D
Sean Astins father as Gomez was the best thing ever lol
Ohhhhh my god. 25:18 Dom's face.🤭 Billy is too sweet, I can't. 😅
Can't believe he didn't even realise how it sounded. Dom is trying hard not to burst out laughing and Billy is just so caught up in his diving story, too funny ;D
This podcast gave me the most laughs! From the Bunsen burner to the smelly "dog'. I freaking love these two! Also, Dom, it was smelly cat from friends, but I won't hold that against you. HAHA! Great podcast!
It’s so inspiring, healthy and perhaps even invigorating, seeing Dom crunch an apple during the show 🍏
Cheers!
23:33 is hilarious - "You could [burn your feet], if it was poorly made, or electrocute yourself (a thought that did occur to me)." Just that little parenthetical aside which is so in-character for Sean Astin it makes Billy hoot with laughter
Great show! Love hearing about Sean and your adventures in NZ. Just watch out for the Cook Strait current and Billy’s finger.!🤣🤣🤣
Cheerful atmosphere and friendliness in the air, you cant's fake that. Those little hobbits are having a lot of fun. It's a great podcast.
Keep going guys.
Fuckin love you guys. Literally, the best once a week, begging friends for favors and owing your favourite assholes a favour , kinda show. Love it!! Elijah and Sean are absolute gold! You best get us some Gandalf or theres gonna be a riot!
Not that I wanted today's show to be over, but the conversation at the end was GREAT!!! I laughed so much 🤣
Imagine just casually playing in a game of League of Legends against the 4 Hobbit's.
Bonus: Using Yordles and Viggo using Viego
Never really had a reason to be excited for Tuesdays before. Thanks for filling the gap!
I think this was a great convo and I appreciate all of ya being truthful and human. LoTR!
I was born in October of 2000, im 21 next month and i can't remember a time when i didn't know who you 2 are. Really enjoy the podcasts and YNWA Dom. Ahahaha hope Ronaldo helps
Go on lad
Viggo and Orlando please!
The boys doing “Who’s on First?” needs to happen…
Referring to my awkward instances and tiffs where I got on people's nerves as little moments from now on 🥺🤣❤
Heh. The expression always reminds me of the Terry Pratchett book, "Going Postal."
"Now, calm down, Stanley...that's right...we don't want to have another one of your Little Moments, do we?"
Sean is so wholesome, he is so sweet♡♡ please keep making videos
Please bring Sean bean! ^^
These podcasts are my favorite thing ever! Funny that I would rather listen to Billy and Dom doing commercials than anyone else!
WOULD be fantastic to have Sean regular part of the trio. LET THE HOBBITS UNITE !!!
Sean is too good for this world
This show is so chill and real. Love it. Thank you guys!
My Wednesday mornings are always improved by listening to you guys
Storyboard Artist Tolley from Australia here again. I've offered up a complex cuisine before to no avail.
So I'm going to go for the "Four and Twenty" classic Aussie meat pie.
Mandatory at Australian Football matches.
Tomato sauce (Ketchup) is essential.
I lived in Queensland for nearly a decade and the comfort of getting a classic aussie meat pie after a night out is just 🤌 chefs kiss lol
You guys had me laughing and smiling so much my face hurt lol…love you guys❤️
Billy Boyd, I’ve had a major crush on you since LOTR. You’re an absolute doll! Your lovely Scottish accent makes me weak. You are BOTH quite handsome men! Your lady friends are blessed. ❤️❤️❤️
I love how much Sean rambles and the boys are so polite they let him go on until they have to reel him back in
This is my favorite podcast ever best part of the week.
I've always respected Sean but I never realized how intelligently inquisitive he is, seems like he is able to observe and soak things in and retain them. I suppose that's why he's a great actor. Brilliant show as usual!
Talked for over twenty minutes about Big League Chew!
This show is so damn fun!
Ah, Big League Chew. Part of my childhood right there.
Love it! Don't know about those burps tho Dom :-/
This podcast is like a surreal dream or as if the Hobbits had smoked too much pipe-weed! I'm loving it So Much!
Love caramelised onions and goats cheese on pizza
So cool watching this! Wish I could of seen you guys when u were in NZ! Film were on my family's old farm last year for the lotr series aha!!
Omg that index finger story had me in stitches!!! 😂😂😂 so so stupid!!! I laughed so hard
It's so good that this is a thing
Love the show guys, hope the friendship onion blows up like a dragon firework!
All this is brightening my life and year so much, thank you guys!
Hey, Billy and Dom-keep up the good work!
While I'd seen the Goonies as a kid, Rudy was how I knew Sean. When I saw LOTR on the big screen I damn near yelled "holy SHIT that's RUDY!!"
Love your podcasts guys it makes my day better thank you for doing this really love it!!
Hopefully Sean joins again! 🙏🙏😊
You should stream League on RUclips/Twitch that would be amazing!
Billy, I love your voice so much please keep doing the ads, you could be talking about literally nothing and I will listen with rapt attention
Absolutely a huge fan of you all!!! Found my Dad's original 1965 copies of the trilogy costing just $1.25 US dollars each. The movies convinced me to read the book. Like Elijah I hadn't read the book before I saw the first film. Then I became a mega fan! Thank you for all the joy you've brought and continue to bring!!
Ahhh this is what I needed today! 🖤
Every time I look at dom i here the words YOU ALL EVERYBODY
I love sean so much! Great episode thank you!
Anyone else really sorry that Sean didnt choose taters for the food segment? Beautiful taters but how prepared? Boiled mashed or put in a stew?
Absolutely love love LOVE this podcast! Granted, it's the only podcast I've ever listened to, but I don't think I'll find a better, more wholesome one out there! It never fails to bring a smile to my face and brighten my day! You guys are the best!! ❤️ Lots of love from Maryland!
Brilliant episode (Part 1 and 2)!
