Yes, florida, mail, my neighbor said someone has knocked on my door 2 days in a row $2700
Since you’re in Florida, give us a call right away. We can find the information for you.
This is big for me, because I'm in FL & considering suing them too. I checked my credit report for a credit card that I had years ago. Financial hardship, they sold the account to jtm management. Who within a month sold it to another company. I paid them off and have a paid in full letter. BUT! JTM never reported this, it's still showing that I have an open unpaid credit card with them. Trying to call is impossible.
If you paid in full, and they're still trying to collect, then it's time to sue a debt collector.
Reach out to us as soon as you can: ricardolaw.com/contact/
In court with them currently and they have yet to provide any documents ordered in the motion to compel I was granted which leads me to believe they can’t.
Sounds like you've got them over a barrel!
I'm in NJ and the debt is from 2001 AT&T.
Is UHG collecting it?
An attorney contacted me in 2020 about a debt from third party dc. I sent a validation request certified mail. Still have copies of what I sent and certified mail receipt. Never heard anything. Fast forward just got sued by another attorney rep same company same debt. Is this an fdcpa violation?
Probably not, if the old debt collector gave up, the new deck collector can sue you without notice.
But now you have new opportunities. Please check out our “good to get sued“ video.
I'm in GA and UHG has filed a lawsuit against me.
In Georgia, call Steve Koval: (404) 350-5900 and let him know we sent you.
Dealing with them now. I have a judgment against me that I knew nothing about. I called to make payments and they are not willing to budge on dollar amount and payments are $300 a month!! They are not willing to work with me. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place! Any advice?
Post-judgment is the hardest situation since you've technical already admitted the debt. There may be grounds to set aside the judgment, but you'll probably need legal help. Give us a call at the office and we can set up an appointment.
Im in Missouri. I just got served at my home. I dont even know what the debt is.
In Missouri, call lawyer Bryce Bell. bell-law-kc.com/. Tell him Mike Wasylik sent you.
In California and they did wage garnishment for $6k I don't know what it the debt for 😢
When you researched the court case, what did you find?
I’m in Maryland, uhg just had someone leave a writ of summons at the door trying to sue for 2,137 charge off from PayPal synchrony bank
If you're being sued, you need to speak to a lawyer in your state right away.
@@RWlawFL I really can’t afford an attorney right now. Maybe free consultation
You probably can't afford a garnishment. Watch our Debt Collection Battle Plan video to find out how to make debt collectors pay you, instead of the other way around.
They had people come to my work and now someone called my mother for information and asked me to pay a bill that had been payed years ago.
They got my information and then canceled the number I called.
What do I do?
Find out who those people were. If they're debt collectors for a consumer debt, you can probably sue them.
Im in Chicago IL and UHG I LLC have served me at my home
Find a Chicago lawyer who handles debt defense.
Any advice for someone dealing with them in CA?
Other than the general advice we've talked about elsewhere, make sure you know how California law gives you different, often better, protections than some other states.
Also they served an address I’ve never lived at the process server put the wrong date which I can prove and also had the homeowner sign my name on the document like he had given them straight to me. I feel this is ground for a motion to dismiss.
You’re right.
Under those circumstances, I might even ask the court to punish the people filing false documents.
@@RWlawFL thank you for the response.
You're welcome!
What if they served my dad and not me? Groubds for dismissal?
In Florida, if you live with your father, that would probably be valid service. Other states may vary.
I got two MCM Collections off of my record with two letters asking for debt validation Today I received from Midland two letters stating "no more collection attempts". One was $1067. The other $485. My circumstance may differ from some. Simply put there was no hope in getting at my pensions here in Florida. You do not have to be poor to write a Validation Letter. I am proof. I listened to several hours of your videos before writing.
And my record of Collections on Creditkarma is now clear.
Check your actual credit reports, not just Credit Karma. We’ve seen lots of cases where CK was just flat-out wrong but the actual reports showed a debt.
UHG-NJ-Lawsuit
What have you tried?
Tennessee $2,062
That's awful.
Yes they are guilty
That's my opinion as well.
Debt from 2018 they have threatened Me over phone and voicemail. Now have filed a lawsuit. Even as of last week calling my grandparents that live in another state from me looking to relay a message for me.
But I feel stuck because I have always deleted the voicemails so I don't have the proof anymore to fight against them
Sounds like you need help right away. What state are you in?
Arkansas
OK, you should speak with an Arkansas lawyer about that lawsuit. If you fail to defend it properly, you could be in real trouble.
Ok I will. Can I even fight them about the threatening calls to me about filing a lawsuit, contacting my job and putting me in jail. Even if I deleted the voicemails?
