    Thanks nice Video, Just a quick question, instead of mounting the bracket on the top of the tack, can it be slide in the rack and drill through and bolt the bracket. this way you don't have to cut the rubber seal and it will look more professional.

    • @AdventuringPals
      @AdventuringPals  Год назад +1

      Thanks mate. You could do that depending on if you can access to the bottom of the rail and the mounting foot doesn’t get in the way. And there isn’t a lot of room in the channels.
      But the racks are designed with the idea of using nuts in the channels to mount things. They even call them “channel nuts”.

      Haha. This was a early morning mission before heading off for a big drive. But there definitely was some that night. Cheers 🍻

      Hi mate. The biggest reason I went with the BFG is that they had stock of the size I needed. I made a last minute decision to change tyres as my old ones still had decent tread but I changed them early due to us booking to go to Dirt Hartog Island. I just didn’t have the time to order and wait for the hankooks. I still love the hankooks after my last set and still recommend them too.
      Thanks for watching.

      Even better the new rf11 over rf10 had ment to be 10% better also round much better off-road and much quieter to in the long run and to start off had set of the older rf10 do 194,000km can't beat em even qld way and looking anything mechanical or tyre wise always around if need something

    That thing's up too high. Maybe should've flipped those L-Brackets facing "down".

      Hi mate. Thanks for sharing your opinion. It’s always welcome. I did consider doing it like that but I ended up going this way to give me more head room at the door. I usually angle the end away from the car down slightly or quite steeply at times too.
      No reason you couldn’t do it the other way if it suits your application.

      @@AdventuringPals I watched again and understand. I mounted mine down but my vehicle is a bit higher than yours I think. It's an impressive piece of kit for the price. I hope you got as good a deal on this thing as we do here in the States.

      @@rtsteele567 yeah my ute is pretty low. I had it mounted like yours on my last ute as it was a bit higher.
      These do come pretty heavily discounted at times I think just over $100AU. But I’m sure they would be cheaper in the states.
      Thanks.
