Idk about you but last season was so terrible this final one was way better I honestly forgot last season was 8 episodes it felt like 12 or 15 it was so boring and confusing completely ruined everything that happened in season 1 of the reboot
the channel 4 produced version of Topboy was so good and so nuanced. It felt real and each death/act of violence meant something. these last two seasons were "smoking all tha food brav ya get me everyone get chef up n dem ting deya" . Sully as always the only saving grace
Channel 4 was always good at bringing the nitty gritty. I feel like Netflix have just lost their marbles with it and taking it too far. I love it still though but they need to go back to the roots a bit
I agree with everything that you said about season 2. Especially with Jamie, he is my favorite character. It's a shame how they turned his character from a badass to a scared dickhead.
@@kokojak8991 nah it’s realistic, trust me if you actually deep what dushane did and what more he could’ve done to Jamie when he got him bagged Jamie started to respect and a lil fear him but still he thought in the long run he will become bigger then them so I don’t how he was a chump . Remember Jamie is20 with two lil bros and and no parents he’s literally going face to face with dushane and sully. And that mistake he made with the plug that’s young shit yea it was dumb but still he really did believe he’s bigger and better but just isn’t experienced or equipped enough
The only thing I can think about the him sending Jamie over there was that Jamie was his retirement plan and so he was giving him a chance to prove himself. Otherwise great points
The channel 4 run “summer house” was so much better. The Netflix tired to make it too flash it was a totally different show. It had its moments but nothing compared.
I can't say Jaime's death is a game of thrones like. Yes there is the cold blooded aspect and the overall surprise but what amke game of thrones dead actually great is that they are perfectly logical with the decision of the characters that lead themselve to death. Here the thing that justify it is that Sully doesn't smell Jaime at all I get it, but Jaime last action of killing Kit is what should let him actually alive because this was the story promess, you kill Kit, you lives. And I know Sully desagree with Dushane with that but that's still not as logical as a Game of thrones one. A game of thrones one could be the ZT will kill Jaime after discover he kills Kit, or Sully if Jaime decides to leave with Kit.
The dialogue was very realistic and that is where you lost me. Even today people speak exactly like how they spoke in the show. Shows me you’re just not connected and can’t relate. Doesn’t make the show bad just because you can’t identify with the culture or what goes on in the London streets or how people in London speak.
First of all, Dushane WAS the first one to go to Morocco. He was told the big shipment was gonna be a lil while so they were gonna do a small one til then...then the feds swooped in on that one. First thing Dushane does is ask for sully cuz he wants him to go sort it out. When sully says no, thats when he sends Jamie. You gave Jamie so much praise for being smart as shit in season 1. So whats wrong with sending him?? Cant have it both ways. Who should he have aaked to go? Kit? Keiron? Samzi lol? Reubens storyline, Jaq being Jaq, Jamie killing his best friend ONLY for the love he has for his brothers, the summerhouse redevelopment, all great parts of the show...also that body lauren dug up, it may come into play just like curtis sister may come into play. And the last episode was phenomenal. When the rap song comes on and we see the big shipment coming in(I'd say it was pretty important), seeing jamie on the corner next to jaq knowing that he thinks he should be top boy...its golden. Also why wouldn't sullly be able to get away with killing Juan(even tho hes not even the one who kills him)? People dont get away with crimes??? I just thought this video was silly im sorry i clicked on it
1. Jamie is smart (which is shown in season 1 NOT season 2) but he isn't nearly as WISE as Dushane. Dushane is a seasoned vet, he's way more experienced (which is why he won at the end of season 1) and he is the boss so he should've dealt with the Morocco situation. 2. Absolutely nothing exceptional about those side stories you mentioned, "Jaq being Jaq" yeah, one of the most annoying characters on the whole show lmao. Also, I do actually rate the themes Top Boy's always touched on but I'm specifically talking about the plot here. 3. That body is absolutely not coming into play and neither is Curtis, every season they'll have a primary antagonist who only exists for the season e.g. Modie, Kamale, Rafe and next season it will be Jonny. Season 3 only has 6 episodes so there's no way in hell they'll be able to cram Curtis and his family back in. I'd be shocked if they do. 4. People don't just get away with killing police ESPECIALLY not police at the top of the hierarchy because it would cause an even worse cramdown.
The writing on this show was always terrible it was always just great moments/scenes & the actors, especially Kano, carrying the entire thing. The dialogue was mostly on point tho. They really talk like that in the hood. Its draws a lot of inspiration from Caribbean slang/talk (primarily Jamaica) cus theres a lot of immigrants from there.
They were both shit. Season 3 is slightly better . Wtf was the ending tho. Sully killing Dushane scene was disappointing for the two biggest characters in the show. Dushane getting caught for being completely careless killing Jeffrey is the dumbest way for him to end up dying. He’s supposed to be Top Boy and made the stupidest mistake you could think of
I honestly came in this vid expecting to dissagree with u but no you acutally make goof points and now thinking about and playing attention this season definitely had wasted potential
Shutup . They put y’all back on the map . Y’all should be thanking Drake , he def didn’t have to do that . He’s been showing the UK love for years now . Why you complaining?

I really didn't mind him being Dushane's number 2 (there was some good story potential there) but they completely turned him into a chump.

Review on season 3
Really enjoyed it but I feel like it could have been 2 episodes shorter. A couple episodes felt stretched to me
I think it was more a waste of airtime, 8 episodes was fine but they didn't use it properly.
Be careful what you wish for😂😂😂. Most people complained that the final season should of been 2 episodes longer.
It was the worst season🤦🏾♂️the only good thing was how it ended, i wasn't expecting that😅the last season comes out tomorrow👌🏾
