Speedrunners such as rocats or Garish make it look easy when in reality it's anything but. I agree sword flying isn't easy but speedrunning as a whole is another story.

I learnt this by accident once. Cleared the area of enemies and started blasting it with random weapons just for the shits and giggles. Plasma pistol overcharge plus a few shots did the trick. Heavy machine gun turret and plasma turret also do the job, but you need to shoot it a while.

Would it be faster to activate the door right after getting out of the Warthog and then going for the Ghost? Or do you need to lay down some fire so you don't die right there? Would only save maybe 2-3 seconds at most, but would use the downtime of the door opening as you head back to the Ghost.
The Storm (Halo 3) on the Easy difficulty is the greatest level (IL) to speedrun. The combat is perfect, (no rng) the movement is clean, you get help from your allies, (marines) and you get to do a cool skip! (Scarab skip) Then you WALK for 40 seconds to the end and do a cross map shot to end the level. (The Storm) How could anyone think that this level, (The Storm) is bad? It's my favorite level, (IL) in the entire game! (Halo 3)

You can't hit the button until the "loading done" pops up, so that whole building is iust on a timer from when you hit the first button on the outside
