A formed cavity to resonate and strings that are plucked / struck (as opposed to violin type instruments used with a bow) to provide vibrations. The first thing I learned to play on guitar was a very slow and sloppy Sweet Child o Mine intro and then Enter Sandman, all you need is dedication. You can always go back and learn chords and scales and actual theory, but only if you have fun early on and stick with it.
Wherever I may roam, nothing else matters and Enter Sandman are from the "Black album". Which was produced by Bob Rock, one of the best rock producers ever! That is why everything sounds tight and crisp.
