Hi Jennli, thks for the wonderful video. I followed the instructions and found that it is too sweet after 3 weeks. there is no more gas activity. Do I continue to ferment further? Thanks.
As for the fruits residue, I sometimes used it to make Fruits Jam, Plants Fertilizer and Body/ Facial Toner. If you want to make fruits jam, just blend it, add sugar and bring to boil using high flames. Then gradually change it to small flames. Have to keep stirring. Process takes about 30 - 40 mins depending on portion made. Once reached desired texture, can add 1 - 2 tsp of gelatin to make a smooth and thick texture (if the jam is too watery) For plants fertilizer, i mix with water and blend it. 1 cup of enzyme : 10 cups of water. I usually put them in a pail overnight and water my plants the next day For Body/ Facial Toner, just mix with the same ratio too. And I filled up in my travel spray bottle before i blend it for fertilizer use. (Because if I filled up the already blended mixture, the spray will get blocked). Helps with glowy skin and pores minimization Hope my explanation above helps

Hi Jennli, I got all the answers from below. The jars and bottles are from MR DIY and ECO Shop. If we stir the mixture and got many bubbles, means the product is ready for harvest. Thank You So Much ! Good Day !
Hi Jennli, thanks so much, I've been looking for these recipes. Few questions though: 1) my area is rather humid, is it a must to store in a dry area or better put into the refrigerator to store? 2) how long does it take for the storage to enzyme to become liquid so that I can pour into another bottle and store in refrigerator? 3) Does it get stronger/more acidic the longer I store? I've traveled to Penang and tried some very strong enzyme drinks and I really miss that, wonder how long it takes for enzyme to become that strong. I could feel it working in about 15 minutes, as I was traveling and ate too much, I find this to really help! Thanks in advance!
Hi Olivia, answering your questions: 1. Fermentation works better in warm weather / condition. Refrigerator will only slow down its process which may take even longer to happen 2. In Malaysia, I usually only need 2 weeks. Sometimes rainy season might take up to 3 weeks. And usually by day 5, there’ll be lots of bubbles / foam when stirred 3. The longer it is left to be fermented, it may turn into alcohol but I’ve never tried that yet
My first batch of apple + lemon turned out great! Second batch (just lemon) is not bubbling even after one week. Any advice? (FYI for 2nd batch I mix brown sugar + white sugar, is this the problem??)
Brown sugar has less bubbles as compared to white, don’t really understand why but I definitely tried it before. And taste wise, white sugar tasted better

Hello, I am new to this and will like to try making this myself at home, I live in singapore, humid and hot, so I assume the “fruits” will be ready for harvest after 3 weeks? So can I ask if I am to sieve out all the fruits to get the “juices” to be kept in a bottle? Or we are to continue to allow the fruits to ferment?
Yes Singapore weather is quite similar to Malaysia. By 3 weeks, it should be ready. And the enzyme should be kept in fridge after harvest so to stop the fermentation otherwise it may turn alcoholic which we didn’t want 👌🏼
I am making my first batch with lemon and apples. I noticed that the fruits will float to the top and won’t sink to the bottom. Is this normal? And can I know what should the fruit enzymes taste like? Because this is the first time I am making it, so I wanted to know what should be the correct taste?
Yes, apple will float, therefore it’s important to stir them daily so they were evenly coated in the liquid. Overtime, apple will start to shrink and turn brown too. It’ll taste sour and slightly sweet.
Thank you for sharing with us I see you use glass jar, do we have to? Or can we use plastic jar? Also, what you with the fruit after 2weeks? Because you don’t show us how to extract the liquid from the jar and move it to the bottle
I prefer glass because plastic may react differently to fermentation. But there are people out there who would use plastic jar. As for 2 weeks later, just sieve the liquid out and store them in a glass bottle for daily consumption
I have never tried with one lemon, usually 3-4 lemons mixed with other fruits which totals up to 1kg. The reason is because lemon is also rich with great nutrients n vitamins

Thanks for making video I was looking for it from some time. How to know it's ready . What is the perfect time 2 weeks 3 weeks Or different fruits need different time Thankyou ... You so sweet. 🤗
It depends on the weather at your place and fruits used too. Sometimes u can harvest it after 2 weeks, some is longer maybe at 3rd weeks. It is ready when there’s lots of bubbles when u stir it. And if only lemon, after fermentation it will no longer be sweet. It will be sour.
Have. The last MR DIY I visited was at Westgate. I heard they ve opened a few more branch since then. Eco shop is also available at Bedok. The only thing I’m not sure is if they have the jars there because even in Malaysia, not all products are available in all stores 😁 You can google for Singapore outlet and visit them someday
thank you this is very useful ... I want to ask 1. how is the filtering process with a stenlis or cloth filter? 2. How about the next storage whether at room temperature or in the refrigerator ?
Hi Jennli, Celine here again. Sorry to disturb u again, two more questions from me. 1) For every 1 kg of fruits, how many pieces of lemon do I need to use. Example : for grapes and lemon ? 2) Is your enzyme bottle enough for 1 kg of fruit enzyme collected end of the day ? Thanks.
Hi Celine, 1) I usually use minimum 4-5 pcs of lemon ( depending on size) and mix it with other fruits like pineapple grapes etc 2) this depends, some fruits expel more juice and some don’t. For example, pineapple, grapes n dragonfruit expel more juices as compared to other fruits. So if it happen, one Bottle is insufficient to store all the juices
The liquid in the finished bottles look very clear. Is that the original color after fermentation? Also, I assume you strain the mixture into the final bottles. And what do you do with the fruit residue?
Hi Siew, yes the liquid in the finished bottle is the original colour after fermentation. Yes, I strained it too. And for the fruits residue, I sometimes used it to make Fruits Jam, Plants Fertilizer and Body/ Facial Toner. If you want to make fruits jam, just blend it, add sugar and bring to boil using high flames. Then gradually change it to small flames. Have to keep stirring. Process takes about 30 - 40 mins depending on portion made. @@JennLiProductions Thank you for the information. Do you have a recipe for probiotics for plants, or Fermented Plant Juice, or Fermented Plant Extract? Thank you.
should the fruits be organic ones? will there be sugar content in the final product i.e. will all the sugar be consumed by fermentation within 2-3 weeks?
Don’t need to be organic. Any fruits will do. Yes the sugar will be completely dissolve within 2-3 weeks. That’s why need to stir it daily to sped up the process too
prayuri any fruits is possible. but no matter what fruits I use, have to mix with lemon for successful fermentation. It is ready when there’s lots of bubbles when u stir it. And if only lemon, after fermentation it will no longer be sweet. It will be sour. I usually set it between 2-3 weeks.
Hi..ive been following you for a long time..always make my enzymes as you do.. I have kept the pulp from my last lemon/pineapple mix in the fridge. How long will it keep its enzymes like that, i want to mix it in my food processor to make a paste..? Thanks..
Yes u can put two fruits in a jar. I usually will mix fruits with lemon. Example, red grapes with lemon/ green apple with lemon/ dragon fruits with lemon. Fermentation takes about 2-3 weeks. Once done, u have to transfer the enzyme into a smaller bottle and kept in the fridge. If consumed daily, I usually finish them in 2-3 months time.
I am allergic to lemon.what alternative I can use. I always bloating and have digestive issues. Can u tell which enzymes present in particular fruits enzymes
Hi Zainab, the recipes I used all requires lemon. I have never tried any substitutes for Lemon, therefore couldn’t advice u on this. If u have a sensitive stomach, you may want to consult your doc to understand if homemade suits u. My daughter started consuming this after having GERD and gastric issue. She’s feeling all good now
Yes just stir them daily for 2 - 3 weeks. Usually on rainy days, it ferment slower so I’ll harvest it on the 3rd week. Otherwise, on 2nd week (14th day) is good enough. Example for lemon Enzyme will taste sour despite sugar being added after fermentation
I have tried making enzymes, totally following your recipe. There are two containers, one pineapples n lemons, n the other I created my own, ginger and apples. I have followed every single step, n steriled every single bottle.
@@JennLiProductions Thank you! Will there be hidden mold or is it always floating on top? How do you ensure that there is no mold mixed with the liquid and hidden somewhere?
Hi, yes sugar is needed for fermentation process to work. When the enzyme is ready, like lemon enzyme, it should taste sour and not sweet. My husband is a diabetic patient too but he does not require insulin jab, just medication. And I made these enzyme to help with his digestion (constipation). U may also check with doctors if the person’s diabetes is suitable for enzyme too. There’s Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.
Based on this measurement in video, i can roughly harvest about 400-500ml of enzyme. But also depends on types of fruits used. Some generate more juice and some lesser. And I made it for the family. Usually we finish them in less than 3 months (after harvest) for one bottle.
@@JennLiProductions Hi Jenn, so I just tried to ferment a small batch of pineapple to test, around a cup, after 6-7 days there are no more bubbles, and smells like alcohol. does that mean it is finished fermenting? Thank you!
Hi Jennli, Celine here. Nice to know you. May I ask u a few questions before going ahead to make the fruit enzymes. 1) If I plan to make different types of fruit enzymes like you and keep in the fridge. Each day consume 2 times, may I drink 2 different types every each day ? 2) Can I use golden or white rock sugar ? Is the ration still 1 kg of fruits to 700grams of rock sugar ? Must I break down the rock sugar ? 3) May I know where do you buy those enzyme bottles with stoppers ? Thank You In Advance ! Have A Good Day !
Hey Celine, 1) yes you can drink different types of enzymes each day 2) yes you can use different form of sugar/ sweetener but they’ll taste different from one another. For example, molasses sugar tend to have slightly bitter taste as compared to white sugar. Ratio is still the same. Breaking the rock sugar into smaller pcs helps it to melt better 3) Used to buy them from ECO RM2.10 shop but don’t think it’s available anymore. You can try online, its usually use as Vinegar dispenser
Enzymes are not bacteria. They are biological molecules. Thank you for those recipes. I would like to know what you do with the fruits at the end of the process.

How to know it's ready . What is the perfect time
2 weeks
3 weeks
Or different fruits need different time
Thankyou ...
THat's great. And where do you get those 2L and the smaller bottles?
I got the big jar from MR DIY. Small oil/ vinegar dispenser bottles from ECO SHOP
@@JennLiProductions Thank you. But we don't have a Mr DIY and ECO Shop in Singapore
I want to ask
1. how is the filtering process with a stenlis or cloth filter?
2. How about the next storage whether at room temperature or in the refrigerator ?
Hi, I just use a strainer to filter. And as for storage, just room temperature. I placed them in my living room/ dining area
ok... Thank you very much 😍
Hi Jennli, Celine here again. Sorry to disturb u again, two more questions from me.
1) For every 1 kg of fruits, how many pieces of lemon do I need to use.
Example : for grapes and lemon ?
2) Is your enzyme bottle enough for 1 kg of fruit enzyme collected end of the day ?
Thanks.
Hi Celine,
1) I usually use minimum 4-5 pcs of lemon ( depending on size) and mix it with other fruits like pineapple grapes etc
2) this depends, some fruits expel more juice and some don’t.
Once reached desired texture, can add 1 - 2 tsp of gelatin to make a smooth and thick texture (if the jam is too watery)
For plants fertilizer, i mix with water and blend it. 1 cup of enzyme : 10 cups of water. I usually put them in a pail overnight and water my plants the next day
For Body/ Facial Toner, just mix with the same ratio too. And I filled up in my travel spray bottle before i blend it for fertilizer use. (Because if I filled up the already blended mixture, the spray will get blocked). Helps with glowy skin and pores minimization
Hope my explanation above helps
@@JennLiProductions Thank you for the information. Do you have a recipe for probiotics for plants, or Fermented Plant Juice, or Fermented Plant Extract?
Thank you.
Unfortunately not. So far I have yet to explore any plant enzyme. Maybe someday in future 😁
should the fruits be organic ones? will there be sugar content in the final product i.e. will all the sugar be consumed by fermentation within 2-3 weeks?
Don’t need to be organic. Any fruits will do. Yes the sugar will be completely dissolve within 2-3 weeks. That’s why need to stir it daily to sped up the process too
Can i use kiwi fruit instead?
julie david yes you can. But need to mix it with lemon too. For all fruits enzyme, has to have lemon mixture
@@JennLiProductions ok thank you..😀
Is no water? Only sugar or honey?
Yes, no water needed
Can you advise if there’s any fruits we should avoid? And how do we know when it is ready to consume? Any sign?
prayuri any fruits is possible. but no matter what fruits I use, have to mix with lemon for successful fermentation. It is ready when there’s lots of bubbles when u stir it. And if only lemon, after fermentation it will no longer be sweet. It will be sour. I usually set it between 2-3 weeks.
JennLi Productions Noted with thanks! I’ll try making one for myself now. :)
prayuri good luck! ❤️
Hi..ive been following you for a long time..always make my enzymes as you do..
I have kept the pulp from my last lemon/pineapple mix in the fridge. How long will it keep its enzymes like that, i want to mix it in my food processor to make a paste..?
Thanks..
How long will it last for and can I put more than 2 fruits in a jar?
Yes u can put two fruits in a jar. I usually will mix fruits with lemon. Example, red grapes with lemon/ green apple with lemon/ dragon fruits with lemon. Fermentation takes about 2-3 weeks. Once done, u have to transfer the enzyme into a smaller bottle and kept in the fridge. If consumed daily, I usually finish them in 2-3 months time.
why grape seeds must be removed?
Just preference :)
She’s feeling all good now
Is it normal that sugar is not dissolve entirely after one day?
Yes normal, as u stir them daily too, it’ll melt completely
Must be airtight to close
Oh no my chopping board wasn’t dry 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 let’s hope things go well
Do I have to stir this everyday twice for 3 weeks ?
Yes just stir them daily for 2 - 3 weeks. Usually on rainy days, it ferment slower so I’ll harvest it on the 3rd week. Otherwise, on 2nd week (14th day) is good enough. Example for lemon Enzyme will taste sour despite sugar being added after fermentation
💖👍
I have tried making enzymes, totally following your recipe. There are two containers, one pineapples n lemons, n the other I created my own, ginger and apples. I have followed every single step, n steriled every single bottle.
Wow let me know how the ginger and apple tasted like too, I never try that combination
Yes, I will let you know.
If there is mold growing, how can we remove it?
Usually mold growing means there are contamination in the jar. Or it was not stirred everyday. I will discard it
@@JennLiProductions Thank you! Will there be hidden mold or is it always floating on top? How do you ensure that there is no mold mixed with the liquid and hidden somewhere?
As long as utensils n jars used are properly cleaned n dry, and the mixture is stirred daily as shown in video, it shouldn’t have mold.
@@JennLiProductions thank you!
Hi, there is a lot of sugar added. Is this suitable for diabetic patient?
Hi, yes sugar is needed for fermentation process to work. When the enzyme is ready, like lemon enzyme, it should taste sour and not sweet. My husband is a diabetic patient too but he does not require insulin jab, just medication. And I made these enzyme to help with his digestion (constipation). U may also check with doctors if the person’s diabetes is suitable for enzyme too. There’s Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.
@@JennLiProductions thanks for your reply. Btw how long can the enzyme drink be kept in fridge?
Based on this measurement in video, i can roughly harvest about 400-500ml of enzyme. But also depends on types of fruits used. Some generate more juice and some lesser. And I made it for the family. Usually we finish them in less than 3 months (after harvest) for one bottle.
After fermentation, can I filter out the meat and not place the liquid in the fridge?
It has to be kept in fridge to stop it from fermenting any further. It will turn into alcohol if fermentation continue
@@JennLiProductionsok thanks
Hey Celine,
1) yes you can drink different types of enzymes each day
2) yes you can use different form of sugar/ sweetener but they’ll taste different from one another. For example, molasses sugar tend to have slightly bitter taste as compared to white sugar. Ratio is still the same. Breaking the rock sugar into smaller pcs helps it to melt better
3) Used to buy them from ECO RM2.10 shop but don’t think it’s available anymore. You can try online, its usually use as Vinegar dispenser
U never show how long to harvest the enzyme n how to filter the juice out!
Hi Steven, it’s usually 3 weeks and I usually harvest the juice using a sieve. Whereas the balance can be use to make jam or face toner
The pineapple with skin..all other fruit with skin
Enzymes are not bacteria. They are biological molecules.
Thank you for those recipes. I would like to know what you do with the fruits at the end of the process.
