The luster's wave nouveau doesn't come with a shampoo though, is it okay to use a neutralizer shampoo on it though after washing out step one? I purchased the wave nouveau system for my own personal use and ive been wondering if I can neutralize it with a shampoo after rising before step 2? I'm a cosmetologist but the curl isn't something that I've ever done outside of beauty school and even then we used the Care Free curl system products... Aside from having to do perms for Europeans 💁🏾
@@Sundeicolors to be honest I have never used a neutralizing shampoo after the step 1 process. If I were to use it...it would be on a mannequin or a non-paying customer who understands that you are experimenting on their hair. I say...just try the neutralizing shampoo on someone who's willing to be a guinea pig for you, lol. The Carefree Curl was the curl system I used the most also when I worked in the salon. I remember there was a conditioning / misting spray I'd use before rolling the hair when using the Wave Nuveau curl creme. I'm sorry...I was probably no help.
@@Sundeicolors you should only lightly shampoo if there is any buildup in the hair. That's before you start the steps. Otherwise, you can proceed without shampooing. You are only supposed to rinse the product. Follow the steps on the bottles. Also, DO NOT COMB THROUGH THE HAIR. SMOOTH IT WITH THE BACK OF YOUR COMB OR FINGERS. Otherwise, you will over process your hair. I've done numerous curls and wave nouveau hairstyles. This is incorrect! Do not follow her steps!
Omg I was born in London, but my parents are St.Lucia. This was a lovely surprise. Hearing creole and being able to follow the majority of it. Definitely doing my hair. This is just the instructions I was looking for. So happy 😀
Girl I love it but when you get another client can u please show all the steps? I only saw that you u used part 1 and 2 what about 3 ? And it look like u dried her hair with the roller set . Did u wash it out with the roller set with step 3 and then dried it please let me know
I would say slap the perm on your hair for literally 5 mins wash it out the apply small rods with the activator sit under dryer for an hour an wash it put it out the do a curly regimen
I can’t believe she said that the point of a wave nouve is to loosen the curls we already have but those other races get perms so they can have black ppl hair just sad for a woman or color to say that
Why did you say like Asian hair white ppl her like there hair is better than black hair you are kidding me FYI they get perms to has black hair the the point of a wave nouve is the loosen up the hair so it’s not so tight on everything you let me down to hear a black women give praise for every other race hair type then your own just 😔 sad
I been using this product since it came out over thirty years ago I took classes for three days to learn about the product and the chemicals involved. I don’t understand why you would was the person hair when three chemicals have to go on the scalp. That will irritate the scalp and some will not be able to sit through the process. I never wash the hair. They usually get a good shampoo and conditioning two weeks after!
Another hairstylist responded- you can use phase 1 to texturize/relax. Phase 2 would be too gentle to do much unless you have very very fine hair probably and only mild loosening of curls
BANGTAN X you can use phase 1 to straighten your hair or loosen your curls just like you would a relaxer. If you want the defined curls you get from a Jheri curl procedure then you have to do the rollers and phase 2. Of course your hair should be natural because hydroxide relaxers and thioglycolate are NOT compatible at all- it’ll melt your hair off if you use one over the other. I decided not to use thio because even it seems to be more drying than hydroxide relaxers for some people- their hair always needs moisture. I used a hydroxide texturizer and my hair is doing great so far. I don’t have to moisturize daily or deep conditioning weekly and it’s strong and not breaking so I’m happy 😊
I just don’t think it will last though like didn’t even get a lol trim like it’s just like relaxers! If you’re going that route you still have to maintain health like where was the light trim of split ends etc!
Yep just sad basically saying her real texture is trash and the new texture is great because its Asian or white texture the self hate well😒😡Imma head out
Talking English every other word does not help with the video because I as a English-speaking person that do not know whatever the language you're speaking can't keep up I'm just looking at it in video so next time you go to do a video make sure you talk complete English or none at all and with no That you're not talking to us😊
I think the language is formed to be a "broken English" used purposefully so it could not be understood. I believe it served ancestral purpose. When they were captured they used it as a way to communicate so that the ones who enslaved them could not understand. It was a means of survival. I know you want to understand the video ❤ but I couldn't resist sharing this heartwarming tale.
Very nicely done. It's the best Wave Nuveau application I've seen on RUclips. Excellent job!

@@Sundeicolors Hi where are u located at Thank you
I like how it is rolled up. Not everyone wants those super tight curls. Great instruction video!
I just opened this video out of curiosity and heard you speaking creole 😍😍😍
Me too. Sak pase

Must be a new version of a wave nouveau. Never saw this before!!!!
Very lovely. I'm going to get a Wave nouveau I Love the curl's
Guys let me know if you like how I apply the product..
Isabelle Hairsalon are you based in the UK London? I have a wave nouveau but it’s overdue 4 months now .
Can you still do protective styles like twists and braids with wave nouvea ?

You only use step 1 and 2?
heyy its not like ur best because u forgot step 2 which rly helped
Is there a way to do it with a smaller curl rod? Or just to loosen the natural texture without making it straight in pieces?
I would say slap the perm on your hair for literally 5 mins wash it out the apply small rods with the activator sit under dryer for an hour an wash it put it out the do a curly regimen
..."like Asian hair, like white people hair".....Sad thought process....
She said that Haitian hair not Asian but the " like white people hair" is pretty mess up
I heard that 2...😒 smh.
I can’t believe she said that the point of a wave nouve is to loosen the curls we already have but those other races get perms so they can have black ppl hair just sad for a woman or color to say that
Lol, true but at least she’s honest. We secretly hate our 4c texture which is why we like looser curl textures.
Beautiful job!!
Is it better to apply on dry or damp hair?
Hi Isabelle,
Where is your salon based. Can you do this hairstyle on ear length hair please?
You're not supposed to comb through the product. It's supposed to be smoothed only. You are actually over processing their hair.🤷♀️

Can you just use phase 1 or 2 to loosen curls instead of a relaxer? No one seems to do that

Lolo Future so I can use a kiddie texturizer then skip phase 1? What products would I need for that? Please help.
Lolo Future ?
I want this!!!
I see you use shampoo after the straightner. the system dont come with shampoo.is that your technique
Riiight I want to know too!
That mandatory to use a neutralizing shampoo after the straightener for all relaxers
This is nikki anderson my mother does my hair
Please add some translated lines to your video❤️
Was the hair put in a hair drier
No. The Wave Nouveau does not require the heat.
I don't understand a word that she's saying but it sounds so exotic☺️
Very pretty!!
Good job Isabelle

“That’s Asian hair...like white people hair” that’s sad y’all desire to have and love everyone else’s hair texture but your own
Right!! I cringe when she said that!!
I like my hair but it would be more manageable with something like this done to it. Everyone doesn’t have the time or patience for coarse hair.
I thought she said that’s Haitian hair because she was talking about how thick it is.
Right I literally just posted that smh
I would love Asian hair. It is very strong, thick, and easy to manage.
Get in the pool if you want to without a swimming cap
Nice
