It’s always Awful when you lose your hair because a stylist lack of knowledge. However it’s always Great to have someone like you to get a customer back on track 🤩
Amen to that!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽And Crystal definitely has the knowledge & she cares. God bless her!!!!
@@pn1856 you can do that with my
Why is she covering her beautiful face? Georgeous
Lol
I am sick and tired of so called stylist damaging people's hair. five years ago a stylist damaged my hair with her relaxer and I had to shave my hair off. I just had my hair relax again by a different stylist and she has over processed my hair which is now breaking like crazy. These so called hair stylists need to be sue and pay for the distress they cause.
S
This is why I haven't had a relaxer in over 10 years. I'm not saying I will never relax again but There is going to have to be a consultation and a strand test before I do that again.
Same here, I just big chopped last month due to a hairstylist damaging my hair with a relaxer my bra strap length hair at the time kept breaking and looked similar to the lady's hair in the video before her big chop. My hair is still having problems and isn’t the same
That's why I don't let no one touch my hair anyone , I started to do my hair my self, my hair is very healthy.
@@tangiesherman3669 Truth!!
This transformation is cute. Her hair will be healthier as it grows back. Many cosmetologists need to attend classes on a regular basis to be current in this profession.
weaves and wiMgs are popular and money
Definitely.
Totally. Like social workers, nurses etc. must attend workshops, conferences to learn about new practices so should stylists.
I’m in my 50’s. I remember like it was yesterday. I was about 17 or 18. Went to this high tech salon that didn’t do a lot of African American clients. Got a Wave Nouveau on my natural hair . It looked nice on my way home. The next day my hair looked a hot mess. Little by little I had to keep getting my hair cut off. I cried the whole summer. You did an excellent job!
U said they didn't do a lot of African American hair caused they were hi/tech didn't mean they knew what they was going. Should of researched
@@rachelthomas2839 Yes you’re right. My cousin was a model at the time and she recommended her stylist there and of course, I’m young and just listening to her. Yes, I learned a very good lesson!🙂
@@yvonnewilliams8800 You are a wise woman!! 👏 We learn these lessons and help others accept theirs.
"Whenever anyone hair is damaged or the lack of style.. there's always a way out..a new design is awesome. It is clearly an amazing and beautiful work of "art.
I love my wave nouveau curly perm. I knew to choose an older beautician because I rocked it back in the 80s and forgot about it over the years. My hair loves moisture and this was the best thing for it. It's growing and thickening back up quickly. Since I wear my hair burgundy.. my natural color is 3 shades of brown blonde reddish 🤷🏽♀️ so I only need rinse for my color. I don't have to bleach or anything. I love the manageability of my hair now, that 4c was taking me through it.
❤️❤️❤️ I'm just so happy I don't have to depend on a wig anymore. I can actually wear my hair outside.
I told a barber to soften my cut. He never understood it, he kept my hair looking like a grace jones high top fade. LOL
Although Grace Jones is fierce..not everyone wants that look😄
@@canthide207 EXACTLY LOL
I can't lmao 🤣
I had a Grace Jones cut in the 80s. I loved it. I got it done at a barber on Astor Place in NYC. It cost $10. Those were the days 😊
Sis,
You did a Great Job! Her Hair Looks soo much Better! But More Importantly.. It’s Healthy Again.. Very Cute! 🌸😘👍🏾
She’s gonna keep her hair like this. She’s gonna love the low maintenance. She probably won’t grow it back. I bet she didn’t even know her curl pattern looked like this. Great work!!!! 👌🏽💯 I hope she tipped you well!!!!!!
Looks very nice. Her hair is going to grow back so full and healthy👍
Something about those Wave Noveaus… and careless stylists. Same situation in 2018. Hair came out by the handfuls. Had to big chop. Keeping it braided and in protective styles has regrown my hair back. Great video. This woman’s hair is gorgeous!
Her hair is beautiful.
She made the best choice to start over... I remember going through that process as well... I had bra strap length full and healthy hair... Went to my friends shop decided to go blonde and within a week had to cut it off as well... I believe she didn't wait enough time from when I got my hair relaxed...
Her hair is beautiful. Love how her salt and pepper came in so evenly.
Nice. I like how the salt and pepper faded into more black as you moved towards the back of her head. I hope she is grateful for this beautiful hair and cut. Awesome job!!!!
Health > Length! Love this bravery. We learn from our mistakes. We mess up. We got to own it, fix it and move on. 2 years of short hair to have a lifetime of knowledge, and beautiful healthy longer hair is SO worth it.
Looks great. I'm an old white woman and I CELEBRATE my salt and pepper color. I use a shampoo to whiten the white!
Most likely she'll enjoy rockin this cut n style....GRREAT job Crystal!👍
Beautiful...great content, excellent watch. You know your stuff and you made your client's hair gorgeous xx
Hello Crystal, I love watching your videos they are very detailed, and you did a really great job 👏 I’m a new licensed stylist and being able to explain the care for my clients is important to me, Thank you for these types of videos
I really like this style on her. I think she looks fabulous!
That looks nice. Her hair looks real healthy at the finish
You did an awesome job on her hair. Her hair really needed your help.
Wow, it takes a lot of poise, courage & patience to cut your hair completely off and start over ~ Bless her heart, she done the right thing for her hair, stay positive and I wish you the very best!!! Your in great hands now!!! ;)
Take Care!!! Great video!!
She has beautiful hair! Love that cut for her!
I like this, very elegant. Your explanation of every step is so informative.
I love her hair after, beautiful work!!!👏
What a wonderful job. So pretty.
Your videos are so informative! Thank you for sharing and teaching us! ❤️
Your skill doing hair is impressive . I wish there were hairdressers as skilled on my none ethnic hair. Too much to ask. Keep doing what you do for women
Thanks soo much for sharing! I made that mistake of dying a wig on my head then relaxing my hair two weeks later resulting in my hair falling out .
This was perfect. Love the treatment and the style.
It looks great!!! I love watching your videos. You are so knowledgeable. You really know the science of hair care. Thank you for sharing.
My thoughts too
I started over with my hair like this last summer I loved it I may go back like this next summer

She has beautiful hair texture. Long or short hair doesn't matter - her hair health is great. 💁🏽♀️💕
Just found a new favorite online Artist. Thanks for be so dang educational as well.🧚🏽♀️🧚🏽♀️🧚🏽♀️👍🏾
BEAUTIFUL TRANSFORMATION!
Aww she looks soo cute with that length and her curls are beautiful 😍
Your shirts are cute! And I’m so glad you talked about hard lines on women!! Barbers do not understand and cut women the same way they cut men. 🤦🏽♂️
You did an excellent job on her hair!
That turned out lovely 🥰
Awesome job Crystal stay safe yall.
That looks really good. I wear that hair style. Thanks for the tips.
Her hair is adorable!
Beautiful job Chrystal stay safe yall
Her natural curl pattern is beautiful.
I would never do a wave Nuevo if I had those curls. 😂. But that’s just me.
I agree
I think people with coarse to medium strands, low porosity and those with a very tight coil are not taught how to get their hair soft and flexible so their hair always feels brittle and dry. I have a very tight coil but when I give it maximum hydration it becomes softer and looser. When I discovered this I laughed because my mother had my hair dry curled/wave nouveau when I was 11 when my hair was already curly! She just didn't know how to handle my hair and it took me 20 years to learn my hair. My hair is very tightly coiled but ultra-fine and has high porosity so it can't take too much physical, chemical or heat manipulation. The only way to loosen and smooth the curls is to moisturise my hair twice daily and deep moisture condition with heat weekly. My hair also needs a lot of protein to withstand general styling.
Speak!
As a young teen I sat for that harsh wave nouveau system also but praise His name, my mum and I had the good sense to stop after a while. It looked great but too harsh.
Only to figure out many years later my natural curl pattern was pretty much the same look as the wave nouveau from years ago... 💀😆

Yes! We have a similar story!
Such a waste of time - but Black hair culture is taking a turn - glory! 👍🏵️🌄
@@macummings7818 Yes true. I'm just glad I made 40 with no bald spots or bald edges or alopecia but I stopped relaxing in 2009. I stop getting braid extensions in 2019. I started shampooing weekly and moisturing twice daily in 2019. I haven't coloured my hair since 2014.
I need this done to my hair now. I have damage due to wave nouveau. I had permanent color on my hair when I got the wave nouveau. Starting over...getting my hair cut this week. 😒😔 Thanks for this video.
Beautiful job. I learned something new if I ever go to a barber. Thank you.
Amazing transformation. You're a real professional.
Man U r so talented and gifted
She has beautiful hair!!
Nobody rocks EVERY style like us!! We can go skin bald to having ankle length, from coils to locks, to braids, to long tresses, to a natural and slay all the way in between!!!! We always are the trend setters the cutting edge of style!!! I just love us!!✊🏽✊🏽
Knew that big chop was coming
Beautiful, Excellent, Professional Service...GREAT SAVE & lesson... that we stylist must STILL maintain our clients info on Index Cards, as well as today's technology
My hair looks just like hers. Damaged, falling out by the handful. I have to cut mines off as well. My hair is so wirey. It literally breaks off in my hands especially when it's wet. When dry, it comes out. It was a texturizer, I believe, because after the first application, my hair looked like a "curly kit." I'm going to to stick with natural hair this time for good. Beginning October 1.
You need to moisturize the hair daily with a spray mist and shower steam and weekly deep moisture condition with gentle indirect heat for 30 minutes. Your hair sounds like it's low porosity which is prone to build up and struggles to get moisture into the hair.
It looks sooo good and I love her salt and pepper too.
I love what you are able to do with your clients who come in with all kinds of issues and hair types. I have very fine (thin) hair which I have worn natural and short all my adult life. Would love to see what you recommend for such hair
Gorgeous hairstyle!! 💙💙💙
Turned out very pretty!!
Amazing beautiful client!
You did a nice job on her hair and now it cut down to healthy hair!
Beautiful.you are in good hands.
I like what you’ve done to your client’s hair to restore it and get it back on the right track. Regarding her style, I prefer a more natural hairline in the “kitchen” area 🙂. Not a fan of the straight across edge up. Overall, she’ll be so pleased with the beauty and simplicity of her new look, she’ll likely keep it and not grow it back out. Oh, and I’m about to order up a slew of your products 😁!
On the road I was talking to my mom. My mom died in 97 of cancer. I felt like she didn’t hear me and I was waiting for a sign! Why when I seen you video it’s a sign! My mom use to wear wave Nouveau all the time and the way you cut her hair low, my mom loved her hair cut low like that. I was in tears and still is now! Good job sister on her hair! U always do a good job! I’m glad I subscribe to you!
Hi B Bie, is there any suspicion that your mom got a cancer because of the wave nouveau? I am trying to inquire about the health effects of the wave nouveau but can‘t find testimonies.
@@annamira119 no. My mom didn’t get the cancer from the wave Nouveau. I was saying how I miss my mom in the car and wish she was here and I said that when I got home this video pop up. I haven’t heard the term wave Nouveau in a long time and soon when I say I miss her and wish she was here this video pop up. My mom before she died wore a wave Nouveau for years and she loved it. Cut short! This was her favorite product. It’s just made me think of her. That’s all.
My stylist has me come in the day before. So that she could see if she could work with my hair. She then trimmed my hair just a lil bit. The next day, after over 30 yrs of not having one and months of just letting my hair breathe, I got one done. It's been a couple of weeks. Had a lil shedding, but so far, so good.
Having a lineup is a personal preference. It looks good on some women.
Love your videos, great info
Beautiful person stay safe yall.
love the short hair style!!
Very nice. That's the type of cut I have. I need that kit.
I loved my Jheri curl on a tapered 4c cut. However, when I did it on long 4c hair, it made my hair fall out. It was hard to maintain and keep up with. My hair acts different when it short and when it long.
This was done with all the love in the world!

Good job as always
Great video great work, brave client
Beautiful Sis ♥️. Love it.
Her hair looks so pretty
Beautiful!!!
You did a wonderful job ❤
Very nice look!
This is what I had to do July 2022. I'm naturally 80% natural silver, so I dyed it black. It faded brown shortly, then green! So I tried to trim some off ended up with a MULLET!! NOOOOPE! I took the clippers and the 1" guard and shaved it off. I love short hair, but I have a goal in mind! "Bucket list" is butt-legnth hair. 😊
Wow , you are definitely a great stylist..👍
Same thing happened to me. I had a texture release and my hair did the same thing. Coming out my hand fulls. Had to start all over again
I ain't think Wave Nouveau was still around. I can't believe a stylist messed her hair up like that. Her hair will grow back more beautiful and healthy now that the damage has been cut off and she got a treatment ❤
That salt n pepper hair is gorgeous 😍
The problem is if the hair is overprocessed. That's why you should have a strand test done with every chemical service....colour or texture change. Stylists no longer do consultations and strand tests it seems. I only started getting consultations when I went to a white Aveda salon.
Her hair is beautiful.
Excellent Job 😍 !!!
Looks great!
Love it!
Very Nice and easy to manage. As usual, you did a fantastic job.
I love the look.
Hi Billie 😉 saw we share the name made me smile have a great day
Her hair turned out beautifully with your expert cutting, conditioning and styling. The only thing I would disagree with is changing the shape of her nape. The W or M shape (depending on how you look at it) natural growth pattern was beautiful. Not talking about the side nape cleanup.
Love the cut!!!
Love this!!
Dang I LOVE the cut....You did that fr
