Note:) the reason for gloves at ALL times when touching chemicals on hair is your exposed skin while rinsing out relaxer, absorbs into the body and can be harmful to unborn fetus. It’s a precaution to wear gloves.

I'm retired now so budget wise a trip to the salon every week is out of the question. My hair is long enough to just put one braid, pony, or just wear straight. Easy.

I allowed the owner of the shop I got my bi-weekly wash to relax my hair (since she seemed to know what she was doing) and within 4 -5 months my hair broke off barely to my neck. So here I am again now 11+ years natural. Hair down my back. Loving my curls and getting a blowout with no straightener every other year for full length checks. This was hard to watch. I had a vacay, went swimming, washed my hair, wrapped it (deep condition helps) wore clip ins, it blended, wore my permed hair, effortlessly cute and easy and fast styling. Very fragile so I will let it grow with love and time. I think i should perm every 4 months. It depends cause my new growth is no joke.
