How long does it last ?
If you're lazy like me, just get the clip ins(skip the sew in) and crochet the top. For an extra bit of ummph you can do invisible crochet method on the top so you can have a part in the middle or left/right sides.
& I like to take out my hair frequently, so you can take down your clip ins, wash your hair , wash the clip ins, braid your hair back up, and re install the clips. The crochet leave out can be washed and refreshed too, or you can redo it (it doesn't take long after you get the hang of it)🥰

I tried this style but with clip ins instead of sew in. The crochet hair is sooo hard to manage and tame! I was never able to get it quite looking like the kinky straight hair. I think I want to try crocheting with real kinky straight hair, maybe that will be easier? Also, taking the crochet hair out took forever (untangling knots). This style looks great though and will keep practicing. Thanks!!

Seun!!! Please PLEASE can you use 1/8th inch silk ribbon to do a sew in instead of thread, and tell us what you think? Silk is better for the hair and is unable to cut hair strands because of how soft it is. I've noticed that using thread in my hair for a sew in has a similar effect to getting my eyebrows threaded. Tension on thread slices hair. I have waaaaaaaaaaaay less shedding during take down when I use 1/8th inch silk ribbon.

I do the same technique, it’s truly amazing lol but I still use human hair to crochet. However this time I decided to leave the TINIEST THINNEST slivering of my hair out at the parting, because as crochet grows out it just becomes more obvious.
Try french braiding the section where you add the crochet hair. It'll allow for a flatter section and will blend as the hair grows

How long did you keep it in/ lasted ??
Hi Seun, how do you keep the start of the crochet hair and the end of the part from being noticeable? To explain, imagine a cornrow with the braid in the middle with hair crocheted onto the edge nearest the part. So, it is flat, then Bam!, there is the start of the hair. Makes it look obvious. Is it due to hair thickness?
Yes, I get you! Just dont make the braid too thick and then dont use a piece of crochet hair that is too too thick, and I've found that it blends fine!

Hi Seun, I keep thinking about your products that you're developing. I'm sure that you're about to go to marketing soon but, down the line, I hope that you can develop a product for chemically treated hair. I have always worked out but it never affected my hair. Now I'm older and I have to work out 60 mins/day 6 days a wk just to not lose the gazillion million clothes in my closet that I love so much. But now I am drenched when I get done working out but bc my husband won't allow me to do anything except perm my hair I end up w just a ponytail. And obviously my hair smells horrendous. My daughter in law is Italian and washes her hair daily and goes to work w it wet w product in it. That's what I need. I know Black hair has never been washed daily, even worse I have a perm, but I've been following you for many years and my chemically treated hair is very long using your techniques. The thing that changed is my hair is now super funky like a skunk. My husband hasn't said anything bc he's thrilled that we both get up at 5am and work out before work, but if I can smell it on the pillows and everything....girl, it's bad. Can you save me allowing me to continue working out and having clean hair at the same time please? Cutting off my hair is not an option.

Sadly this still doesn’t work for me. Maybe only works for corse hair because I can’t do it with this curly hair
It looks very good, but so much attachments / extensions. How long do you leave this in for ? How do you wash your hair. I wash my hair once a week because I like a clean healthy scalp and hair . This would not work for me. Now I know why so many women opt for half wigs or full wigs.
