top tip when flying econ emirates on an A380 with the no first class configuration: always try to get a seat on the upperdeck window seat. they put econ seats where the frist class is, has a 2-4-2 config, there are storage units by the window seats which doubles as an armrest or to place your drinks on, the toilet is hugggeeee/ basically the size it would be with the first class config but fitted with econ decoration, and when you board, you dont have to wait your turn or queue: you board with the business class peeps at any time often via a lift to the upper jet bridge. one time there was no one on the 2nd section of the upper deck econ, i cheekily asked if i could sit there instead and they let me: so i basically had the whole section for myself and spent my time chatting with one of the air hostess while constantly sipping on G&Ts haha.
I’ve taken Emirates multiple times in their A380. They’re awesome. I’ll be trying out the Singapore A380 soon so I’m excited to see what they have to offer!
weird, my cousin is also an Emirates crew member and she would happily take those polaroids for anyone who would request them :) for example birthdays, kids, couples, at the bar... etc etc :)
I'm crew as well and in training college they told us we can do it on request as well, or if there;s a celebration, honeymoon, etc.. basically kids have priority but if there's extra film we can happily do it for anyone that wants a memory:)
I can't agree more. I flew 3 times with Emirates from LGW to MEL in economy way before Covid hit and just did a return and, if anything, it's better. Congrats to Emirates. You looked after me and my mum even better. I can't fault economy class.
Your videos are so simple and informative, not like other videos where they do some funky stuff to stand out, but in my opinion these are the best where it has a smooth flow and soothing background tune and is well curated. This is my first comment on any RUclips video and this deserves it, hope to see more youtubers come up with these types of content.
That's incredible for an economy class, Dan! When I fly to Australia, I have the option to fly Emirates on a 380. It costs more than some flights(like Delta), but thanks to you, I think I'm willing to splash out on Emirates business class and have a great ride to Sydney! What fun!
That’s a very long flight to Australia to go via Dubai! I would say that’s why it’s more expensive, not because it’s Emirates. In saying that, if you’re paying for business class you might as well enjoy it for as long as you can ☺️
@@fruitpunch5260 that's my take on it! Heck, you only live once! Might as well have fun while you can! My brother has been to Dubai.(he 's retired Navy) He really liked it. I'm always up for new experiences!
I fly regularly to Australia (BNE) from the UK and make a point to go with Emirates every time, especially for their A380s. Not only is their economy experience better than many Business Class flights, but Skywards Silver Tier is actually attainable only after a few long haul flights. That means you get to cut the queues at both check-in and boarding (worth it alone given checkin procedures nowadays!) but free access to the superb Business Class Lounge in Dubai (with great food, showers and all-you-can-drink Moët and Chandon bar!). I recently flew for the first time in Business Class and OMG! League of its own and better than many First Class! 😍 And no, I'm not sponsored by Emirates, just they have a very effective loyalty program!
I’ve just flown on a return trip to Dubai from London, Absolutely love the a380.We sat in the front row of economy row 41,huge amount of leg room. Great staff too ✈️👌
I've flown Emirates economy in the past and have fully appreciated the service on my flight. In 2022 I look forward to flying with Emirates again, especially as on my last flight. I was upgraded to business class!
Ex Emirates crew reading here the comments😉. I do miss those flights and happy passengers going on holiday. What a great job it was. Cant wait to fly again in that plane, only good memories❤
This brought some good memories back. Lived in Jeddah between 2009 and 2012. The airport now is one million times better then the old one. I also drove my car from Dubai to Jeddah during 2009's Ramadan. What a trip :)
I been on the Emirates A380 about 4 times… amazing experience. The best airline in the business… in a class of its own. The crew was always so nice and the design of the interior is perfect. Also, Emirates provides so much more space per seat
@@mrbusterhoo lmao my opinion isn’t true? How is that even possible? Thought opinions couldn’t be wrong? Everyone has their one right? Don’t call mine wrong lol… why don’t you make your own opinion… haha
I would like to say thanks to You sir, After watching your video about A380 and 777 my fiancé finally acknowledged how beautiful these planes are and were off to Thailand next year with Emirates. First time ever on a plane like this so you must know how excited we are!
the empty quarters gave me chills. There is somethign quite beautiful about.. land being untouched by humans. It's just there; majestic, beautiful, but also isolated and quite scary. THank you for including that.
I have taken Emirates A380 for my Switzerland trip in 2012 from Johannesburg and I must say that the airline has evolved. I will be flying with my Partner to Istanbul from Johannesburg in October and I cannot wait. The trip is two legged, with A380 and 777 fleet. Thank you for a great video!
Flying to Dubai for my first trip outside of Europe with Emirates on the A380 in economy this weekend - I was already looking forward to it, but after seeing this I am even more excited! Great video, new sub :)

Thanks for the review! Living in the United States, It's easy to think that six-hour flights with no meal service is the norm... glad to see that is not the case worldwide!
The is literally one of the most expensive airlines in the world. You can pay for a first class delta ticket for half the price of an emirates economy ticket and get the same amenities and treatment plus a fucking bed.
When I went abroad for my volunteer service I also flew Economy Class with Emirates. The service and experience was amazing and the whole crew was so nice, very helpful and the food was good. By far the best flight I have taken before.
I flew with Emirates in early January on their 77W SFO-DXB-SFO. I can confirm as well that the ICE entertainment is very great, however, I didn't use it a lot since I was mainly in awe of the views outside the aircraft and the fact that I slept through most of the flight. The meal was very delicious especially the desert as well as the mid flight snack (pizza on this flight, not sure if it is the same on all long haul flights).
I am flying next month to bali with emirates from Germany. 😂 I cannot hold back my excitement anymore. I'll be travelling after 6 years. Your vlog regarding emirates was amazing! Thanks for recording this beautiful journey.

I’ve just done my first Emirates flight for two and a half years - round trip between Manchester and Dubai, and as good as ever. Excellent value for money, especially if you’re going on beyond Dubai, e.g. Singapore or Bangkok, but even just to Dubai is fine. For those further destinations Emirates is better-priced than anyone else I’ve found and also offers more flights, especially outside London.
Oh Dan, that was just another great video, and o so appreciate how you combine views and insights and side notes in one video! I've been an Emirates customer for many years. I couldn't agree more with you, Emirates economy is fantastic. I been flying that so many times, and then upgraded again a couple times from the collected miles. Just did a whole series on Emirates First Class on YT - with those miles collected. But back to you: happy to be inspired by your great eye for detail and thoughts for insight. Cheers! Cleric
flying Emirates for the first time, Germany - Dubai - Singapore and back. have gone back and forth around 30 times but never with Emirates, this time their price was competitive and a handy 20 hour visa free layover in Dubai to get some of that beautiful sun and a good brunch in the city somewhere before flying onwards. am looking forward to experiencing Emirates as have heard good things. flew this route with SIA a few months back which was also superb

I have flown with Emirates on the A380 to Australia and Thailand since 2013 and it has always been great value BUT sadly due to rising prices, I went with Etihad in Jan 2019 to find why Emirates was so much better. I also put it down to seat location as I like an aisle seat with a bulkhead behind me but these seats are extra on Etihad. I also find it quieter near the front of the aircraft. It also helps with quicker disembarkation. I was on a similar flight from Expo 2020 and thought my Emirates economy experience was far better than the United Polaris experience I had on the Denver-Frankfurt -Dubai route.
Congratulations 🥳 on your 500k. As always you & Oscar have done a great work, very informative. I was lucky to fly the a380 with my family a few months ago and it was a great experience. Well, stay safe and thanks again for your videos, have a wonderful week.😊😊😊
for an interrnational flight, the emirates have one of the most restrictive carryon luggage rules. apparently travel pillows and blankets are not allowed as they count toward your carryon stuff. when i was flying on philippine airlines and korean airlines, i could carry as much travel pillows as i want plus a carryon and a personal bag
Happy days looks far better than etihad Airways my back and back bone was killing me after flying back from phuket to Dublin last month so glad am going with Emirates next march from Gatwick 👍👍
Emirates has the most comfy economy class. The food is pretty darn decent, and the blankets are really good. I always fly emirates. Whichever class it is, emirates service is amazing

If the world could be as peaceful on the ground as in the air. I just want to say thanks for bringing the world to those of us that will never have that chance in a lifetime. Continue to do what you do and give us such beauty and peace.
Flying Emirates makes us pamper, cause isnt all the companies that have flights with tv screen in the economy class.I was shock when i discovered this.
Arabic coffee, bubble tea and lemon mint- Dan's favorite drinks. Noted..👌
Dan - I watch many reviewers but you are my fave! I am flying with Emirates economy this year for the first time so after watching this I am more excited! When I win the lottery I will invite you to join me in first class!
Thanks so much - that means a lot to me. I hope you have a fantastic trip!
I was on a similar flight from Expo 2020 and thought my Emirates economy experience was far better than the United Polaris experience I had on the Denver-Frankfurt -Dubai route.
Dan, congrats on 500,000++ subscribers. Proof that hard work pays off!!
Thankyou so much for this information
Non stop dan❤❤😊😊
Dan, you didn’t mention that you and Oscar had the LUXURY of an empty seat 💺 between you two!!! Love your review!
Has a month truly passed without Dan flying a Middle Eastern super connector?
Happy days looks far better than etihad Airways my back and back bone was killing me after flying back from phuket to Dublin last month so glad am going with Emirates next march from Gatwick 👍👍
Late comment from my side but amazing ad including the A380! That was so clever Dan 😂
Emirates has the most comfy economy class. The food is pretty darn decent, and the blankets are really good. I always fly emirates. Whichever class it is, emirates service is amazing
The music in the background is so soothing
