- We understand that most of our customers and supporters may never get a chance to take a full tour of the Nighthawk Custom facility to meet the team and see the process. With that in mind, we wanted to create a video that shows behind the scenes of how Nighthawk Custom Pistols are made at our Berryville, Arkansas campus.
Join our owner and CEO, Mark Stone, as he takes us on a complete tour of the Nighthawk campus. Mark also explains the roles each department plays in taking a pistol from initial order up to the finished product. Some of the areas you will see include Sales & Marketing, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Production, ATF Compliance, Final Assembly, and our Custom Shop.

I have 4 NHC pistols and a Korth- Not 1 single issue not 1 thing is off. I have many guns and love most of them. My NHCs are the guns I am proud of and I trust to use to protect myself and my family. Thank you all for your awesome craftsmanship.

I had the honor of meeting and speaking to Mark personally after a tour, I must say one of the kindest proprietors I have ever met it was such a pleasure to speak with him other so called Hi end 1911 makers can learn something from him by interacting with their customers and doing tours, no doubt my next 1911 will be a Nighthawk Custom, the tour was great I didn't want to leave I was so impressed, being an Aircraft Mechanic I can appreciate the attention to detail and the precision that goes into Nighthawk Custom Firearms makes me wish I was a gunsmith it would be an honor to work for them, keep up the fantastic work you all do, hope to see you again soon.

My magnum research 1911 was sent in a couple weeks ago. I’m excited for the extensive work being done by nighthawk custom. It’s a great service that a company with your reputation still does work on other pistols to take them from a good pistol to a green one.

Watching this is super enlightening. When you're building the ultimate quality piece, regardless of what it is, the process is similar to this. If it's not perfect, it doesn't leave. This level of attention to detail is what you pay for when you buy a pistol like this.

Nighthawk is among the very best there is, and this video helps show a few of the reasons why. "One (outstanding) gun, one (expert) gunsmith" is not as catchy as the actual Nighthawk slogan, but it is also true. And their customer service is equally as impressive. Very nice tour! I throughly enjoyed it. At the present moment, I own only one 1911 from NHC. Tremendous amount of pride of ownership. Quality and attention to detail is superb. I love the process. No one looks stressed. It is always a great product. I work in a different industry with similar standards, where the product needs to be top quality, every time, all the time. I am really interested in your products now after seeing this.

No wonder these firearms cost so much. Human detail and above all QC that seems to be done at only a few companies at the highest level. Great tour. I build 1911 pistols, and have used several of the Nighthawk Stainless receivers. As well as many components. I have always been I pressed with the quality of these parts. Plenty of material to fit correctly, and they always produce quality results.
Amazing to see how expansive the facial is, and spotlessly clean as well.

BTW, your customer service is excellent, my revolver stock had a small crack in it and Bob Reeves took care of me very quickly and professionally. I had a new one piece stock in just a couple days! Awesome video and one can now appreciate all the work that goes on. I am fortunate to own 2 NH 1911 and a Korth sky marshal. I sometimes think about selling them, not the korth, but when I look and shoot them the thought immediately disappears. Great product!!

Great behind the scenes video. I have always admired Nighthawk 1911s. Love to see this level of customer service, quality and pride in product still exists. Would love to come up there and tour the facilty in person one day. I was in Arkansas for a mil school a couple years ago, but really did not have enough free time to make it there. When I finally invest in a high end custom 1911, I feel that I will invest in the company as well and like to know that they stand behind their product and will take care of me on a personal level. I have an SA Operator that I have been wanting work done on and I think I just found where to send it.

I own 2 Nighthawk's. A Heinie commandeer that I sent back and had a threaded barrel fitted, and a Costa 1911.

I am lucky to have a Nighthawk Custom 1911 which I purchased late in 2022. I wanted a specific finish which was not available any longer. The sales department was able to locate one for me at one of their dealers within just a few minutes. The gun is everything I had hoped for and then some. Cool video. I got a chance to visit your booth at the DSC show. The coolest gun I saw at the show was a Korth .44Mag and I’m not even a revolver guy. I almost bought it. It was 3 serial numbers different than the one in the video.

I have thirteen different models, one being a Bob Marvel 22 long rifle 1911. I HAD a Korth Mongoose until someone appears to have helped themself to it. Only complaint I have is I wish the green bags had the model of handgun embossed on it. They are great pistols. I’ll have to get another Korth to replace the one that was taken.

I’ve shot a nighthawk. An older deputy let me shoot his. That was my transition to a 1911 for duty use. I wish I could afford one. 2 kids in college and a cops salary doesn’t allow for extra cash. Very awesome guns.

I do not think I've ever dealt with a company as professional as NHC. You can tell they are God-fearing, as they are honest throughout the ordeal. Yes, your customization might take 2-3 months, but it is worth it, and you get what you asked for, in a good way.

What is the average turn around on a basic colt 1911 moderate customization not total not minimum
Hey Mitch! The only guy that would know what that turn around would be is Bob Reeves in our Custom Shop. You can email him at bob@nighthawkcustom.com and he'll let you know the turn around time.
Fortunate to own some Nighthawks; they are as good as it gets in craftsmanship.
Question for NHC: why are some shipped in green bags, and others shipped in black bags?
Prior to 2022, all of our pistols were shipped in the classic green bags. At the beginning of 2022, we introduced our new black bags which have been a big hit. Going forward, every new pistol will go out with the black bag.
