Back in the early 1990's as part of my job in a theatre as an armourer, I used to hire from BAPTY &Co. One day, wandering the warehouse, I came across crate loads of cool Star Wars guns!! Many were rubber moulded copies but there were several full metal versions converted from the original weapons. When I got to the office, to fill in the paperwork for a truck load of Martini Henri rifles I was hiring, they took out a 'blaster' and handed it to me, telling me it was the actual one used by Harrison Ford! I have no idea if there were several of these, or it was indeed the only one, but it was seriously cool to hold it!! They had a couple of those BSA type converted blasters too, which I also saw, but didn't get to play with. What an amazing place it was to visit back then. Andreas Schwarzlose seems to have invented a few quite remarkable guns. (The main MG Austria-Hungary used in WW1 was a Schwarzlose gun. And the blow forward pistols he invented also are strange and would have fit their criteria apart from adoption)

Forgotten Weaponry is such an amazing guest to bring on!
It is such a treat to see Jonathan and Ian Two gentlemen friends talking passionately together. Thank you for the collaboration👍
Man i love this trend of them collaborating. Its perfect synergy.
Watching Jonathan and Ian being best gun buddies is a wonderful, special treat.
The knowledge and insights of these two individuals is nothing short of stunning, two incredibly well-read and well-spoken historians. We have the foundation of what could be a very worthwhile ongoing program.
I LOL'ed as soon as I saw Ian with the SA-80
And it’s a left hand one
We need more of this with different criterias every few months or years. So much fun and has great educational value!
The Schwarzlose 1898 is great. Had the honor to shoot one once & it was quite ergonomic (for my hands) and dead on accurate after 120 years. That for itself is awesome. PLus: We hadn't had a misfire the whole afternoon with it. NOt one.
Andreas Schwarzlose seems to have invented a few quite remarkable guns.
(The main MG Austria-Hungary used in WW1 was a Schwarzlose gun. And the blow forward pistols he invented also are strange and would have fit their criteria apart from adoption)
I love the way that both of them handle all the guns like they're loaded unless they have checked otherwise.
Even when it's a ridiculous pistol from the 1890s that has just one fireable cartridge left, known to both of them to be stored at a completely different site!
This is the best thing either channel has done. Set them loose in the collection and pick something weird.
This reminds me of the honorable, courteous, and expert duel between The Dread Pirate Roberts and Indigo Montoya. Both talented gentlemen..... and just as entertaining a scene. I had a blast watching this! Thank you very much gentlemen.
Jonathan: "I... am not left-handed!"
Yes! Take that Ian.
This is the coolest crossover. Thank you both for being such humorous, fun historians. What a cool video
Ah, this was an amazing collab to watch. Poor Jonathan valiantly defending the SA80 against the onslaught of -facts- slander by Ian calls for both laughter and sympathy
Excellent session - I'd love to see a walk around of the armoury by these two, so much knowledge!
I'm not a "gun nut", but I do watch both Ian McCollum and Jonathan Ferguson videos from time to time. Their collaboration is really fun to watch. Good job! 👍👍
"in the United States this is a pistol" I love that this came up in the rifle round, just shows how stupid the atf is
The ATF didn't make _that_ unconstitutional rule, they just enforce it.
You can blame both political parties in congress for that one.
@@Stevarooni Enforcing it is still unconstitutional even if they didn't make up rules based on arbitrary/inconsistent "interpretations", which they do

You're right! I'd forgotten that.

Putting the video to 0.25 playback speed just to read the disclaimer was well worth it just to heard ominous activity in slowmo.
They sound hammered 🤣
If you don't use your phone but a form of computer with a keyboard, you can also pause (k) and use "," to go back or "." to go forward 1 single frame each time you hit that key.
To be honest, the SA80 / L91 series was great as a training rifle - because it jammed so much, it really taught you to know your rifle inside out :)
I’ve used operationally the SA80, G36, SIG 516 and SIG MCX. SA80 is still my favourite. Much preferred the ergonomics and the weight balance. All the other weapons I’ve used felt very front heavy and therefore felt heavier despite being lighter overall.
We need more of this duo!
Literally kids in a sweet shop!😂😂😂❤
Bruh I did a double take as thought you said "kids in a sweatshop". ☠️

@PelvisResley No windows to jump out of to play on the trampolines outside. Such a shame really. It would be this centuries version of 'The Leaping Nuns' by Cook and Moore. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Yes! The best duo in GunTube History is back!
Aw man this is such a lovely episode. Just two geeks, geeking out. Doesn’t matter the subject, these conversations are always a treat to listen in on.
Pulling the SA80 out really is a kick in the teeth 🤣
The chemistry between you two. RUclips gold 👏
I've never been more happy to see two people in the same room
You don't watch much porn, do you?
This is a fun colab. If Othias ever gets a chance to visit there I would like to see him find something wacky
I'm a simple man. I see Jonathan and Ian in the thumbnail, I will watch the video.
I love that these two get along so well, it's a dream come true. I love how you can just give them a challenge and let them play :D
This' my first time seeing Jonathan. It's great seeing someone who takes their work very seriously, with a generous amount of cheek.
"Australian persons"? LOL!
Love those two
BSA Machine Carbine:

Darn, I carried one as a Rebel Fleet troopers at conventions.
FINALLY, I scrolled WAY too far down to find one!
I love this duo (Johnathon’s my favorite sorry Ian lol) the chemistry is awesome
It's all gravy, baby! Ian's my favorite but Jonathan's rad too. And put them together? Man... You couldn't ask for a better duo to show me what I need to spend my money on next
We can never afford to forget where we came from. Thank you guys for a fun walk down history.
Superb moment in history...two renowned historians and 6 unique and mostly rare (SA80 not!) weapons. Fun, informative and very very entertaining. The hilarity of Ian pulling a British service weapon and Johnathon wishing he'd actually pulled a FAMAS to "back at ya!" - gold. But ultimately, Johnathon's weapon was so funny in that it did get adopted by forces....WAY in the future....in a place far far away...priceless! Excellent times!
