I love both of these stores!!!!!!1 They are wonderful treasure troves for harder to source beautiful fabrics not stocked in most local quilt stores. The associates atI both stores and wonderful and have a keen eye for color matching fabrics and great design flair for fabric selections. I moved away from SAT 6 years ago and really miss both of these stores. There is nothing like them in Virginia.
I have been to both of these shops. Both are great. There are so many shops in the area. Many I have found doing the shop hops. Another favorite of mine (mainly because it is closer to me) is Fiberworx in McQueeney I love that there are so many shops in the area.
There are two quilt shops in Fredericksburg, One Quilt Place & Things In A Room, and two in Llano, The Country Quilt Shop & Buckaroo Blankets, if you’re ever in the Texas Hill Country! The towns are about 45 mins apart. More in Blanco, Wimberley, & Brady.
Oops, just started following you. And so far you’ve gone to all my favorite quilt shops. There are more around this area. I’m hoping I can hit them all this year.
There are so many quilt shops in this area! I'm so jealous. I have to drive an hour one way just to go to a decent quilt shop, and then there is typically only one in that area. I am lucky to live near-ish (2 hours) to Amish Country Ohio, I am planning to do an amish country quilt shop hop soon 🥰
I visited. LosColchas when I was in San Antonio. I loved this shop and also could have spent hours there however my husband was with me and we had many other places to see.
Do you visit quilt shops when visiting other towns/states? I'm so excited to start finding local fabric designers when traveling and making something to remember the trip with!
Yes, but not in the US but in my home country of England. I do love it when I find a nearby quilt shop on holiday. And Sis and I will travel some distance to visit a quilt shop we haven’t been to before. Our shops are very rarely anything like the size of the US ones xxx I enjoyed the vlog - I’ve made quite a few Japanese knot bags in my time - it’s a beautifully simple bag
@stephaniesnape6787 that sounds so fun! Especially since you can share that with your sister 💕 Last time I was overseas I couldn't go anywhere to look for fabric shops because it was during the height of covid lockdowns.
I'm from San Antonio - I have never heard of Las Colchas. I will need to visit them.
From Fort Worth. Visited this shop. Absolutely love it!
Wow, these look like fantastic shops - great ones to shop in frequently!!!

I was just there yesterday and loved it! I just googled quilt shop and completely fell in love with Las Colchas
“I’m just gonna have to pick-up more!”, is the story of my sewing life! Tanks for the tours!😊
I come in to SA to see my grandkids all the time. I can't wait to visit these stores and to see the quilt and bag your going to make.
I’m near San Antonio. Thanks for pointing out some new shops to try!

Go to memories by the yard on mainland
Thanks! I'll add that to the list of must-stop shops! 🩷
That's a great store too! And they're open on Sunday!
Thanks for taking us along
Thanks for watching! 🥰
I love that shop! ( Las Colchas) Haven’t been there in years since I don’t live there, thanks for showing this!
I did spend hours there today, I do believe! I loved this shop and they were so nice!!
I love The Mesquite Bean! I don't get to Las Colchas very often since it's downtown. ❤
You must go to Creations in Kerrville too! My favorite quilt shop!
Wowza, Beautiful Shop!
Las Colchas was my favorite store when I lived there. Kyle also has a beautiful quilt store. B &B Quilting
I will definitely make sure to visit B&B quilting while here! Thanks! 🥰
I live in San Antonio and Mesquite bean is my favorite. My teenage boys go with me when I go there and just sit and pet the dog.
Been to Las Colchas, super cute shop. People are wonderful and find so much. Never heard of the 2nd one Mesquite Bean Fabrics.
Great tour!!❤
Cool
