      I feel like people need an absurd amount of empathy to cry on command. I say absurd amount because I guess I feel too jaded/desensitized to most things to cry about them. I can still acknowledge how bad things are and be sad about it, but I couldn’t cry about it.
      For me, hearing that someone is getting horribly mentally abused/manipulated or is unable to live the life they saw themselves would probably make me cry on command - but maybe that’s because there’s someone very close to me irl who is in that circumstance.

    The whole tear analysis was so funny. Tears pool and then either spill or get squeezed out if you blink hard enough. I mean, all eyelids are different... but no one's going to shed a single tear like that. There was no pooling. His eyes weren't glassy. It just appeared.

    Ezra Miller is incapable of producing tears, as that requires feeling human emotions.

  • @getmario64
    @getmario64 Год назад +20

    10:27 Don Bluth at least made these tearing moments in "An American Tail" and "The Land Before Time" a lot of emotional breakthroughs. A scene where a mother just barely got chopped by a Sharptooth and Littlefoot sees his mother for his last moment before heading to the Greay Valley It gets heavier when the mother just says a few words until she dies quickly in this saddest scene ever. Unless Adam thinks this movie is made by babies even if the sequels were meant for millennial babies in the 2000's, that moment is the best emotional scene ever.
    An American Tail where Fievel finds his dad and that right there is the moment where a young mouse finds his family and James Horner's score hits you a lot emotionally deep.

    • @bryal7811
      @bryal7811 Год назад +5

      It was sad as a child and even sadder when I put myself in the mother's perspective. The amount of information she needs to tell her son in an impossible amount of time is unreal, worst yet, Littlefoot doesn't even grasp the idea that his mother won't be there for the journey.
      "I'll always be with you, even if you don't see me..." "What do you mean? You're right here..."
      Heartbreaking!!

  • @MrDrProfessorPurple
    @MrDrProfessorPurple Год назад +26

    But yea no, in my experience real tears are massive because they are the welled up collection that are resting on the bottom eyelid, and blinking causes it to rolls down the face. Some people like my mom have thinner eyelids, so hers are very quick to roll down her face, but yea. thats my personal experience so its real.

    • @maddieb.4282
      @maddieb.4282 Год назад +8

      It’s not a quickie. If it says quickie in the title of the RUclips video then it is. This one did not end up having quickie in the title. This is him in the process of editing and research, possibly before he had decided it would be full length or he just misspoke. Usually 10 mins or less is a quickie it seems

    • @Varooooooom

Getting an actual take of Ezra nailing a perfect, aesthetically-appealing single tear while smiling was probably going to take up much more time than was worth it. Also, imagine how unhinged getting them to constantly redo takes would make them. Practically, it makes a lot of sense

    15:45 yes the correct one is Orangutan which in indonesian/malay just means jungle people. Everyone in Indonesia/Malaysia where this animal native to call them Orangutan so it's a bit weird that foreigner add 'g' at the end. It's like tempe (Indonesian soy cake type food) that in these few years has been getting popularity in the western vegan community but for some reason they calling it tempeh but still pronounce it as tempe, i mean why bother adds 'h' at the end if you don't even pronounce it.
