Years later, this and the 458 reviews are still some of the best piece of reviewing from Clarkson and Top Gear. The filming, soundtrack and pacing all come together perfectly, and the way Clarkson talks about these cars, mixed with how they sound, makes them seem like what Ferraris are to people: perfect cars
Ben Pritchard second season was better. The first season was a bit disappointing to be honest. It just seemed like nobody was there to tell them to stop dicking about. Hopefully season3 will be better still.
these days it's about $100,000 for one in very good condition. hasn't increased in value, but has held it's value pretty well. the 430 scuderia, on the other hand, has increased in value quite a bit, at $250,000 and up for one in very good condition.
I got to drive one of these yesterday around a short race circuit and wow.... Jeremy is spot on with saying it is perfect. Before I could never understand why you would spend that kind of money on a car. After driving it I can totally understand. It was a slice of heaven with wheels.
+DutchBudokaiFan Biggest pieces of shit.... My buddy leased the car and it had issues and rattled worse than a pinto! Only plus is the WOW effect when you drive in one....
@@Virtuoso23 the Ferrari brand goes on a rollercoaster of design beauty, they reached a peak with the 355, then went down to the f360, reached the top with the f430, hit the bottom with the 458 and now they're up again with the 488. Shame it's not naturally aspirated anymore but when it comes to design alone, the 488 is the worthy heir of the F430
@@mperformance3502 F430 is only proper with the gated manual. The last manual Ferrari, something special. Nowadays only Porsche (and Chevrolet) produce high powered sports cars with manual
I love this car, one of my favorite Ferrari's because they offer it in stick shift (the only way you should buy a supercar). Also, unlike other Ferrari's, this one doesn't require having the engine taken out in order to perform certain maintenance. Jeremy Clarkson makes this Ferrari review like no other, it's awesome!!
"A Harrier jumpjet at the battle of Agincourt" - this is why Top Gear can't be replicated in Australia, the US, wherever; Jeremy and Co. bring so much cultural significance and knowledge into what they do on the show that it's too unique to be copied. I think that's why people really like Top Gear - they work REALLY hard to make their car reviews relevant to people. They review a car as a piece of machinery AND for what it means to humanity in the bigger picture.
I love my 430 Spider! I think the Enzo inspired back end looks awesome. Real shame that the 458 Spider also does not have the glass engine cover any more.
Really really awesome car. Just driven one. Really awesome. They said I was allowed to go 60km/h (I am 15:) ) but when I was at my second lap I went to 150 km/h. It accelerates like a beast.
I optioned mine with deviating stitching, thicker stitching #2, optional Daytona seats with optional red inserts, optional full power seats, rear leather behind the seats like he said, standard carbon interior and not aluminium look, red brake calipers, Scuderia fender shields, optional spare tyre with tool kit, dedication plate on the dash and chose yellow tachometer.
I wonder how much it cost to Ferrari THIS kind of advertisement. Very nice music selection in the beginning, Gabriel Fauré and Ferrari go perfectly, The footage is spectecular. TG on its repertoire
I don't understand why Top Gear dislikes the look of this car. I agree when they say the 612 and 599 aren't that gorgeous, but I consider this to be one of the most gorgeous Ferraris in existence!
i really want a 458 but this was the trigger of it all..... after watching this video countless times, i realise this is the father of all sports coupes..... i want mine in the Rosso Scuderia colour, please.... and another 458 too...
+Ray Courtez I'm driving one of these tomorrow 28 August Llandow circuit in Wales. My first ever drive in a Ferrari. Can't wait. I get to try 2 cars the other will probably be a Maserati or a Lambo.
Had the privilege to do 5 laps in 1 of these yesterday as a birthday present. Felt amazing and completely out of my comfort zone. Drove to the track in a fiesta 1.25 then into this. Slight difference.
I thought the same but the other day I drove a golf r dsg with paddles and I fucking love it. Didn't miss the manual for a moment (always drove manuals) but I really like it. I have yet driven a car like a f430 but i don't think the flappy paddles is that bad. And the premium the manual commands is a bit overrated, there's a lot of hype for manuals these days
i paid 150 bucks to take one down a mile and half long runway, and with a nice tailwind, i breached the 200mph barrier. lol best 150 bucks ive ever spent!!
true but you still gotta give it up for ferraris. although they might be slower than they are shown, ive driven a 430 and 360 and i loved every second of it !
This car is almost 20 years old and looks just as good now as it did then. What a beautiful, timeless design.
Thanks for making me feel old today
Planning on buying one soon, I truly think it’s one of the best cars ever made
I think it looks better now than it ever did back in the day
it debuted in 2003
You know the design is good when it was good then and still gives the same feeling now.
This all changed when James May bought one.
Yep true that. 🤣🤣
it changed even more when Jeremy ate a chocolate bar in it😂
Even when James bought a 458😭
🤣🤣🤣
This the car that made James love Ferrari’s

Get Amazon Prime, and watch The Grand Tour, it's basically what Top Gear used to be, but better.
Ben Pritchard second season was better. The first season was a bit disappointing to be honest. It just seemed like nobody was there to tell them to stop dicking about. Hopefully season3 will be better still.
Philip Collier third season was absolutely brilliant
A manual F430 will demand a much higher price these days
PuffinDragun69 my dad has a manual f430 spider 100 k

PuffinDragun69 Assuming one actually had the dough for a manual 430, I could only imagine how unbelievably hard it would be to find one.
Yellow Malice its not harder to find that any other ferrari there usually one if you look around its just not the color you want haha.
McMuffinFluffin You're absolutely right. The red/beige ones only show up once in a blue moon, and they ARE very expensive.
This is a job i would dream to have. To wake up in the morning, put on a suit, and know that I get to go be an idiot in a supercar all day long.
I have settled for just being an idiot . I got halfway to your dream

There's some things about this car I like even more than the 458 and 599
OF COURSE IT IS. ITS BETTER FROM THE FRONT MORE BEAUTIFUL
the last of the "analogue" ferraris... without dual clutch and hundreds of electronics... makes you feel the car even more!
Let me tell you what that is - it has 2 Pair of lights on the back. All proper ferraris have 4 tail lights.
zeebazu same thing corvette purists say
"the z06 sucks just because it doesnt have round tail lights"
the owner of my company owns one...its the sexiest exhaust sound...like a perfectly tuned race car
i love the moment when the 430 is revving and the subtitle shows:[Music]
The F430 still looks gorgeous! Still an amazing car in every way...and now it's priced to sell!
Got to drive this car for 20 minutes yesterday! One of the best expierences in my life! :D
+DutchBudokaiFan Biggest pieces of shit.... My buddy leased the car and it had issues and rattled worse than a pinto! Only plus is the WOW effect when you drive in one....

+DutchBondFan I have been watching your GTA walkthroughs for years. I love them!

+DutchBondFan Hearhear!! I'll do the same at Exotics Racing in Vegas in a month!!

The way Jeremy explain things is amazing, the passion
I have been in a Ferrari F430 and I must say it`s one of the best feelings I`ve ever had. The launch control is immense!!
He's so right about the F430 out-handling everything. I drove a 911, and then an F430 and the Porsche suddenly felt like.. well, a canal boat.
I feel like this cars exterior can be sold today, still looks great!
Wormtongue: "Carbon ceramic brakes? But that must cost thousands!"
Saruman: "TENS OF THOUSANDS"
The Ferrari F430 is becoming desirable among collectors. Clean, low mileage examples are starting to bring in big money.
Just drove one today in Silverstone, and it was my first Ferrari ever. Amazing experience!
I still think the F430 is the best looking mid-engine Ferrari ever made.
And with a 6-speed manual gearbox, this car is simply mind-blowing.
Ferrari makes a good mid-engine car every 4 years ,the f355 was good ,the 360 was a bit crap this is a legend and the 458 is again trash
It was, until 488 Pista has been built. That car is nothing less than sexually exciting.

Because the technology got better?? How can you even compare the two videos lol at the time the 430 was the best...
Better transmission too. Although f430 F1 is a good single clutch, it’s slow and clunky compared to double clutch in 458.

Thing i love about Top gear is that the footage is 15 years old but looks like it was made yesterday.
