When my sister made fun of me so i hit her with one of the big plastic bats lmao
I was bullied and yelled at around the campus so I submitted their names to the Dean when I learned that they cheated on our finals. :)
When all the girls laughed and kicked mud on my dress on my birthday while I cried in 6th grade. To this day they try to apologize when they see what I became.
I was once invited to the movies with a group of girls i sorta was friends with in middle school. Well the one organizing it told me a time for the movie then changed it saying they wanted a later showing. Of course i show up at the theater and nobody is there, I ask an attendant if i can check the theater of the earlier showing and didn’t see them, come to find out they were in there and saw me but ducked down and I became the butt of all their jokes for the following weeks
Idk I have probably 10 separate ones. But I think I’m still pretty nice. I don’t yell at food service workers and I pet cats and stuff.
So I am Caucasian but my dad's closest friends growing up were Black. When I was about four years old I asked my dad how long I'd have to wait until my skin turned dark like my uncle's was and when he informed me it didn't work like that I would never have dark skin I was in tears. What a devastating moment. I'll never forget. Haha

Oh man, my youngest son thought his skin was going to turn darker brown when he grows up and was sad and cried real tears when I told him that he was probably as dark as he was ever going to get!

We had 4 black labs in our house and a small beagle. The first time I put the beagle in front of the mirror, he was in shock then freaked out. His reflection was not what he was expecting.

I actually love that little girl affirming that she is a strong black woman. This little one has obviously seen something in which there was a woman who stood up for herself and our girl was impressed enough by it that she remembered those words. At her age, she still hasn't been made aware of skin color differences and that is awesome. So when she wanted to speak up for herself, she used the most powerful speech she knew.

My ex-husband and I were at Altamont Raceway (while still married) and when the trophy queen came out, I said, "I could do that." He said whatever mean things and I told him I was going to the bathroom. I went straight to the management and became a stand-by trophy queen and within a few weeks I was down there with the winner! I also got hired to be a VIP Hostess and became a popular trophy queen touring to San Jose, Thunderhill and other race tracks. I was even a finalist for Miss Laguna Seca. Take that!

@@gloriaalex11 Let's see, I think he was shocked at first, but then he liked getting to go down and meet the racers. We were married 11 years which were rough and things were already toward the end, so we finally divorced not long after. I was still there and getting offers to be a trophy queen at other tracks after the divorce. It really boosted my confidence, which had been worn down a lot before this.

Thankfully, the young miss that is a "strong black woman" was welcomed into the group by the more heavily melinated on TikTok. As was the one that was adamant that they "loved all of the browns". It was the most pure and lovely thing that I have seen. The world, especially the mess that is the US, needs so much more of this.

P.s. fast forward many many years, My fiancé repeatedly gives me the middle of his cinnamon roll when we have them because he knows it's my favorite part, and he knows the story. ❤️
In regards to the pj story: I have both a teenage niece and a teen girl I used to babysit who I now pick up from school everyday--this sounds like something either one of them would tell me about some of their friends. So I 100% know that my instant, kneejerk reaction to hearing this from one of them would be, "well yeah, how else are they going to show everyone else you're the main character?"
And looking around at these other comments, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who'd react that way.
That Dad should have told that little girl that the “holiday armadillo” would be coming instead of Santa like Ross said in Friends.

That one with the Jewish kid reminded me of how jealous my cousin and I were when we were discussing the upcoming Christmas with the neighborhood kids (we were about 8 or 9) and the boy next door told us that he would be getting presents every day for 8 days straight. However, the trade off was that he’d always wanted a Christmas tree (so cool) but his mom would get huffy about the subject, while his dad would tease “maybe some year we’ll get a Hanukkah bush”.
At a travel cheerleading camp in high school (freshman year, 13 years old) After practice, the team had some time to go to the attached water park in the hotel. I was the last person to go in the bathroom to change, and when I came out, the whole team had ditched me. I have since had a hard time believing people who say that “most cheerleaders aren’t bullies.”
The instant burning rage that I felt for the girl with the wrong pajamas!! I have been that girl, and I will say, those friends aren’t the ones you keep around! That shit happened to me too. And they all made me out to be crazy for noticing it and being upset. They did that kinda shit multiple times, like setting me up in front of groups of people to be an outsider and then treating me like it was my fault for not knowing something that was explicitly kept from me. Sadly they're in my own family, so I can't 100% get away from it, but I certainly avoid them as much as possible nowadays. And I've made peace with the fact that I'll always be walking into something they're purposely trying to attack me with. As long as I'm unbothered, they're the only ones looking foolish.

Every time I hear about packages being stolen from front porch it makes me speechless... Not because someone steals it, people are people. But because there are counties who deliver packages to the front door without handing them hands in hands! Like, I'm from eastern Europe and that sounds bizarre to me. All the packages we have you either have to get from the post office yourself, get delivered to local post-boxes (a specific lock opens with the signal from your phone) or get delivered by a post service employees to your doorstep while they call you beforehand to ask if you can accept the package now (or they will change the time\date of delivery). And it's like that for every post service companies. How do y'all even live like that??

Messing with a child's food when they're younger really does mess them up for life sometimes. I hate sharing food because my sibling would always steal food off my plate or my other family members would do it too. It'll sound insignificant but I recall showing my mom a tiny fried shrimp and she straight up bit it off my fork and I cried so hard. Now I look like a bad person cause I won't share my food even if there is still food on my plate and someone wants it I don't want to give it to them until I am ready to. Real food trauma. If I share food with you that's major respect lol

@@suzi_mai Now that, would be much better than dead frogs. Dead frogs are nothing. The worst that would happen is they have to smell something unpleasant and then they just tosses them out. A box of live roaches would probably scar them for life though. If you open that up and a hundred of them come spilling out, I kind of get the feeling that most people would be scared to open anymore random boxes.

The only time I have deliberately ordered the most expensive thing on the menu was when the job I quit had the manager try to woo me back by taking me out to dinner. It was a beer distributor (not Budweiser) and I ordered a bud light (not my preferred beer) as well. This was back when a certain commercial was out so when he asked why it was necessary for me to order the competitors product, looked him dead in the eye and said “because I hate you guys, man”. 😂😂 trust me when I say, I had a very good reason for quitting and doing that.

I have an opposite story:
Back in 1988, I applied for a job I really didn't want. I went in looking strung out, because I was. I'd been drinking and smoking crack the night before. I didn't want this job because the company was family-owned by these naive goody-two-shoes Christians (think Ned Flanders family).
Dammit, they hired me! Two days later, my fiance went into drug rehab, and I moved in with my brother & SIL. I found out there was an AA/NA group right across the street from my new workplace, so I started going there. Pretty soon, I loved my bosses, and I learned a lot there which helped me get a better job later on.
My fiance spent a month in rehab, but started using crack the day he got out. I didn't go back, because being sober felt great and things were looking up for me. He died on Mother's Day, a few months later, of a heroin OD. I later got married and had a son, who was born on my 3 year sobriety date.
That job I got that I didn't want really was a turning point, and may have saved my life.

this is how dads teach children. they instill in them that they have to give it their all and work hard to get what they want. BUT to also understand that there will always be people out there that are stronger or faster or have more money or have better connections. BUT that they can't let those people cause them to quit. they have to keep striving to be the best they can be, themselves and not worry about how other people are doing.
Will it hurt feelings, of course, but dads teach that we can't let feelings stop us, we have to overcome those bad feelings and continue doing what we need to do in order to succeed...

Charlotte bonnets come in a vast variety of sizes. Usually when you see big ones like that, it means the person has either really long hair, or very long Locs , or a very long weaved in hair style. My Son's Locs are down his back, and he wears a really nice tied back big bonnet.

I have a daughter that age and I would snatch it or walk away. I understand they do it for views to adults but you just don't continue on with a child if they are visibly distressed. When I was in middle school, my brother told me I'd never play the clarinet in the high school band because I'd quit before then. Went on to be first chair through my senior year and participated in jazz band, pit orchestra, pep band and marching band. Because not only am I stubborn and petty, I discovered I was also a huge band nerd. 🤣🤣🤣

Nah, you're not a bully. You point out bad behavior and the absurdity of situations, but you celebrate when good things happen. Also, as a comedian you don't say things to make people feel bad to make yourself feel better, you say them to make others feel better. It's the fine line that comedians tread.

Passover is where the good snacks live. I worked at a kosher bakery in high school and no joke all the desserts at passover were strangely better than the rest of the year (even though the treats were fire the rest of the year too)
I worked as a nanny for a local Rabbi and his wife for a while I was thinking Elijah comes at Passover. I remember the first year I was there after they closed the door and we were all cleaning up the lady who did the cooking stopped me from grabbing the wine left for Elijah, I didn't know what it was or the importance of it. She kindly explained to me what it was and said the Rabbi would take care of it. I

Not all brothers bring out our inner villainess🤗😆 Mine were protective & knowing I was bullied, my older brother (a little guy around 5'2") took martial arts to protect me & my kid sister. Our brothers also used to tell me & my sister we were the prettiest girls they knew, even tho it wasn't true💕🥰Of course we scrapped occasionally 😂😂 as siblings sometimes do. But for the most part, my big brother was my rock 💕

When I was little, as an native kid, my dad gave me the talk about race and how no one was different because how they looked, and that someone who is black is just like me being brown vs someone being white, and I somehow construed this as native Americans were black. I thought I was black for years dude. I would watch reading rainbow and get pissed that they never mentioned the Indians when talking about black people 😂 I remember finally it somehow came up with my parents and they broke the news that I wasn’t black, and man I cried and cried for an hour. My whole identity 😂😂 my dad hasn’t let me live that down to this day.

We used to joke all the time “I’m a strong independent black woman” when telling someone who told me I can’t do something or couldn’t lift something. Now we can not do that.

Fun Fact: There actually are 12 days of Christmas. It is not just a Christmas song. It is why an alternative to saying "Merry Christmas," is "Happy HoliDAYS." Christmas goes from December 25th to Epiphany usually around January 6th or the closest Sunday. Some Christian family's celebrate by giving their kids one gift each day instead of all one the 25th.
(Also, yes, counting the 25th, there are 13 days between December 25th and January 6th, but Sundays are not counted, as they are already special).

The shapes of the thin strips of crust show that they baked a regular full pizza to cut into that heart shape.
Which is extra work, so they're _legally_ entitled to charge extra.

I laughed so hard at the one touching the feet 🤣 when I was little my sister was studying for exam and, lets say I was a flexible child and I basically went under her table, squeezed myself to the back as much as I could and WAITED about 5 minutes when she came back to study before I grabbed her legs 🤣🤣 yes, she jumped to the ceiling 😅 yes, I know that's horrible but it was also hilarious 😂

Harry Hannukah visits! Every evening after dinner, Harry screeches down your street in an old cadillac, throws gifts into your yard, and screeches away. When he's gone and you're sure you won't be accidentally hit by his car, you run out and get the gifts and take them back in the house. For 8 nights. He's great!

My hubby closed down the restaurant and made me a heart pizza by himself and decorated "our" booth with heart balloons and all sorts of heart decor. and Put a nice necklace underneath the pizza so as we ate I found it. That was the one and only time we celebrated Valentines day. That was also our first Valentine's Day Married. I was 17 he was 20. We had our first child 2 months after we married. I love him with all my heart and soul. But I sure do wish he was that romantic again. :( May 16th 2023 we will be married 21 years. Have two grown beautifully talented daughters. And we are so close I feel like were the same person sometimes. Our minds are connected. I SWEAR!!
Just ask him why he stopped being romantic and tell him you'd love to do those things with him again.
Yes was kinda fun to go out together after the children are driving and going off to college but you have to have a positive heartfelt talk and you might have to tell him some 💡
