I remember I was a kid back when Steve Irwin died. I had cried on hearing the news. I used to love watching his show on Animal Planet.
But I don't think Steve would have blamed the sting ray. They don't attack humans deliberately. The animal had gotten scared and it unfortunately went right into Steve's heart. Even his family came out to make a statement not to vilify sting rays.

oh man same. i remember watching his shows all the time in the morning with my dad sitting next to me on the couch cause he loved his shows too. i legit cried when i found out and Steve definitely wouldn't blame the sting ray.

The sting ray was surely as devastated as the rest of us when the legend himself passed on. If i recall right his wife said the stingrays that day were anxious and confused because of the crowds.

That hot air balloon ride was in my small ass town in Wisconsin. Everyone is fine now, but the owner of the company was badly injured. The ballon got caught on the power lines and fell onto train tracks, then the train came. Terrible accident, but really nice and sweet people that own the hot air balloon company!

At the same time, wooden kitchen utensils, despite being clean, they have pores where colonies of bacteria can form. I love wooden utensils, but plastic is much safer and for cutting boards, it is better to have one for each type of food (vegetables, raw red meat, cooked food, raw white meat, fish and dairy) to avoid cross contamination.
Speaking of artists. My friend is an artist and I asked her to paint my dogs deceased pup 5 years ago and she was charging so little for her work.
Another friends dog recently passed away recently and I asked his much it was to paint him.
She charged me the same extremely cheap amount and refused to let me pay more.
She’s a fabulous very talented Australian artist.
I told her specifically not to give it to me cheaper because we are friends.

Most of the time, when you encounter a sting ray, it’s because they bury themselves underneath the sand and you step on them by mistake. Usually you and they freak out and run/swim away. However, accidents out of left field can happen.

That comment about the artwork is so sad, I’m a artist and sometimes it just doesn’t come out the way you want, but then you just need to say “it’s my art style” and fake it til you make it. Portraits are SO difficult, I think they did a great job, they just need to keep drawing and practicing.
This person was selling the "art" and no, it's was horrendous!!! I'm not sure one should call themselves an artist until they have mastered it. In this case, NO!!!!!

My "I'm going to hell for this comment" moment was the responsibility of my 18 month old son. In short, at the time, anything he saw that had wheels was instantly named a "brrm brrm" (think car engine noise). One day, we were at the supermarket, when a guy went past us in a wheelchair. Cue my lad pointing at the wheelchair and loudly announcing "dada! Brrm brrm!" I pretty much died 😂

I didn't know stingrays could do that either. I was in the fourth grade when Steve Irwin died, and I remember being so shocked to learn that stingrays can cause fatal injuries. For some reason, I thought the worst a stingray could do was shock you, in the same way you can shock yourself if you drag your feet on carpet for too long.

In Australia when Steve died there were SO MANY news reports about people going out and unaliving stingrays as revenge to the point Australia Zoo (Steve’s family Zoo) came out and had to make a statement telling people to stop. It was a whole thing. I live an hour away from Australia Zoo 😅

That being said, we had all heard Steve Irwin passed while school was going in and I remember everyone being really upset. People were in tears, the school ended up having a moment of silence for him because the students were so upset. I even remember some prayer groups happening for him and his family.
I know it sounds like an attention thing or whatever but he really did make a lot of childhoods amazing by what he did. I don't really recall anyone seeming like they were faking how they felt about it. Everyone loves Steve.
