My shining moment of roasting came when I was seven. My brother called me "Beavis" and I snapped back with "Well at least I'm not Butthead" and my parents reacted like the audience in a roast battle. Very fond memory.
The hardest part about being roasted is trying to gracefully accept when you've lost while everyone is trying to goad you into saying something stupid. Then, insult to injury, you think of the perfect comeback two minutes after everyone's left XD
Why does this hit soooo close to home! 🤦♀️😭 I always sucked at roasting because i was never good under pressure like that, not to mention always just tried to ignore rude people
I got into an argument with someone in a car park about 15 years ago. I thought of the perfect put down about five minutes after it was done, and I still think about it to this day.
On a creepier note, he had a football jacket on, and I managed to locate his name and address. I was tempted to drive past and leave a note on his car outside his house. I didn’t but 15 years later wish I had.
The French call that phenomenon, "l'esprit de l'escalier"; literally, "the wit of the staircase" - as in, you only get clever later after you've already walked away.

I like how the guy in the news said his comeback towards her instead of to all women. I don't like those things like "women something better than men because something" and vice versa, so she totally deserved that.
Ah yes the children roasts are on another level. They don't have to play by our rules. XD Once I was wearing a Friend's tshirts and my niece looked me dead in the eye and said why are you wearing that shirt when you have no friends? I had never been so stunned and so proud in my life. 😂

I have 3 nieces, ages 9-13. The roasts are neverending, and at this point it’s one of my primary forms of entertainment despite being directed at myself.
We had a coworker that would announce at every potluck office party that she couldn't eat anything because she is vegan. Once she brought a vegan dish and told everyone it was vegan. I said to her I'm sorry I can't eat that I'm not vegan. The look of confusion on her face was priceless.

I mean to be fair, depending on how long she hadn’t eaten animal product or if she was allergic to anything then she would get sick. Not sure why she had to say it to every party though or went lol

@@njmoonfrost6145 cause people forget that kind of shit, even when you are allergic, even if they try to make a dish for you, they forget if it is not a limitation they share or very used to be considerate there.
I have a few coworkers that never ate much when we brought stuff to eat. They also never said anything. Once I bought a few snacks and as soon as I announced that some of those snacks were vegetarians, they happily jumped to grab some. That was so heartwarming to see ❤

My late husband was arguing with one of our daughters and he talked about the burn for several weeks. She told him that he wasn't as interesting as he thought he was. She was a teenager at the time.
Daily dose is definitely enjoyable. I went down a rabbit hole with that wedding photographer story, then realised i was getting sucked in. Awesome content as usual. Love to Canada.

Yeah, she assumed the worst of that person and then recorded him. Imagine minding your own business and then some stranger starts calling you a creep for no reason. If she's scared, be alert and vigilant and don't let him hear you're calling him a creep.

There was a season in my high school soccer team where some of the guy were saying your momma's jokes to me. While I'm pretty immune to them, they're just kind of 'meh', it was annoying when they were saying them every 5 minutes. After one of these your momma's jokes I told them "oh, my mom's already dead". Their demeanor changed real quickly after that. My mom wasn't dead but they didn't know that.
I did later tell them it was lie and they stopped with the jokes.
