I dated a chef once. They touch hot pans as if there's no risk at all and yet always seem surprised when the pain hits 🤣
I used to be a chef can confirm they a bunch of idiots. Lol I used to have a container of fresh water (would get switched out often) every other person in that place would touch tge pan and complain... I would just take my basting brush, dash a bit of water in tge pan to see how hot it was, adjust accordingly and go from there. Lol it never ceased to amazing me what some people do regardless of safety.
It's like when Superman thinks he can touch small doses of Kryptonite... We will never stop trying, even though we will inevitably always lose... Well... Unless we go to another dimension

When I was 5/6 I was just starting to learn how to bake and cook with my mum. When it came to biscuits and cookies my older sister said "no silly, you dont bake those. They grow on trees!" There I go with a cookie in hand to plant in my backyard. It obviously never grew and it was obviously laughed about in my family for years to come. So yeah... i dont blame her for whipping out that phone 😂

I was jamming out to 9 to 5 at a traffic light (no music too loud and rich!). A young lady in the Suburban next to me shouted out and pointed at the driver. Her partner was jamming out with me. The three of us and their kids jammed out through the intersection.

I mean, no. If it's a for profit video like Charlotte does it wouldn't fall under any fair use category. It doesn't matter how long it is, you can't legally use someone else's stuff when you're making a profit off of it. Although I doubt many would actually pursue legal action when someone is just being silly and singing a short bit.

I can relate to the chef. After 40 years in the kitchen, I have a very interesting array of cuts and burns. Sometimes my brain just takes a little vacation. My daily Charlotte never disappoints. ❤😊
The other day I had to throw out an entire batch of muffins because I had soaped my 1/3 cup, then my brain took a vacation and I unthinkingly dumped the soap into the batter.

I work in a pharmacy and it's crazy the number of people stopping in to refill a prescription ON THEIR WAY TO THE AIRPORT! Then they get mad when whatever it is they need isn't in stock. "But I need it NOW!" lol

The burnt fingers reminds me of when I was a teaching assistant in an electrical engineering class. I was demonstrating how to solder properly and wasn't paying attention when I reached for the soldering iron. Yelled Fv(K so loudly, the entire class turned to see if I was okay 😂. Turned it into a teaching moment for why you ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION when you reach for the soldering iron.
Been there, done that! It’s also fun when a hot solder ball hops off your sponge, to land on just any old random patch of bare skin! Good times…😅
I live in Tenn and everyone in the state absolutely LOVES Dolly. She does so much work for charity. She’s been around a looong time. You know people are just holding their breath at this point as to when it’s going to happen.

I have a late anxiety story from way back. Just joined the military (Royal Air Force) and four of us had decided to go straight across the country (England) for a weekend away from barracks.
This was allowed, but being late was NOT an option! We had no trouble heading east into the countryside etc. but coming back we hit a bit *too* much traffic around London, and started to slip towards the deadline... It was getting closer and closer to us being it deep poo, and we managed to bail out of the guy's car with minutes spare before we should be on Parade.
This was full-on Parade - Best uniform with brass buttons, peaked cap, shirt and tie, the whole damn thing including shined up shoes. The four of us ran into the room, and stood still, while our bunkmates, stripped off our civilian clothes and fully dressed us in best uniforms from our lockers in one minute flat. It was epic coordination and we avoided trouble by a whisker...
So yeah, thanks people I trained with in 1976 - teamwork success+++

@@clairepettie Haha! You are so right, but after all the BS I did go on to learn a Trade (Electronics + Radar) and later switched trades to Missiles - so I learned a lot, and naturally went into the audio-visual field when I left lol!
The pan thing? I did some culinary courses and we were taught to hover it half an inch from the bottom to check the temperature if it's ready. He probably was about to say be careful not to go too low and subconsciously went too low
I saw his explanation story and he had accidentally turned on the wrong burner. The pan was supposed to be cold for the bacon so he was touching it to show that and got a nasty surprise instead.
3:18 he did a fallow up and he said he had turned on the wrong burner, so that pan was not supposed to be hot. he was trying to boil the water in the pot behind the pan

Fun fact about the queen dying;
She died at the same time my mother was having surgery to remove a tumor. So, since then, we have a family inside joke that the queen died instead if my mom.
There was also a full black out for about 10 minutes as she was waking up from the anesthesia.
I'm glad it wasn't your mom! I hope she is healing well. The Queen had a long, good life. She's earned her rest!

i'm with the guy on the wait times and punctuality. If i have an appointment at 2pm. You bet i'll be up at 8am max. Showered and ready to go at 10 and eat at 11 then spent the next 3 hours idle, hardly doing anything relevant, afraid to start doing anything because i'm on wait mode until it's time to go.
Last flight i took i started packing a week prior, my flight was a 10am. I woke up at 5, i have my outfit picked out and ready on top of my suitcase and by 7:30 i was gone. Staying in bed up to an hour before a flight is my definition of a person with zero anxiety.
I am really loving the way Charlotte's videos are edited. Funnier and funnier as time passes. My 8 yr. Old granddaughter ( only PG rated) loves the fart noises and voices Charlotte does. "See grandma THAT'S how to narrate!"

I didn't even know she knew what a narrator was! I told her 'yes Charlotte is a great narrator.' And she said " Well, she's REALLY an influencer." 😳 When I was 8 I was watching Buggs Bunny and playing with barbies!! I didn't know that word and couldn't care less.When I ask if she wants a new doll she says "Oh Grandma" and rolls her eyes. Kids these days! 😂

I have so much airport anxiety that I got to the airport at 4am for a 7am flight
consequently, the airport was nearly completely empty and I didn't line up at all, and it was the least anxiety I have ever had in an airport

I've actually accidentally touched a hot pan w/my bare hands - I had so much going on in my head that I was just "out of body" and on some weird reflex/instinct touched the stupid pan and seared my fingers. Not to the point of losing my fingerprints(it was the side of the pan) but it still hurt like a mofo.
After grabbing the handle of a very hot cast iron skillet, I made some thick pot-holder sleeves for the handles, and keep them on the pan while cooking.
When I was a kid, I didn't realise a mug we had was actually metal and put it in the microwave (to make a hot chocolate). Surprised it didn't break the microwave but, when I went to grab it, I grabbed it with my whole hand and burnt it. Very painful, 0/10 would not recommend
One evening I was quite tired, I finished cooking something, put the still hot pan in the dishwasher, saw that some plates could be rearranged better, moved them, then proceeded to grab the pan I had just put in by the rim 💀 It cooked my thumb, I legit had a white line on it. Considering I'm both a huge klutz, and my brain is on permanent leave, I don't know how tf I'm still alive lol

@@gloriaalex11 Absolutely! I grew up on Vancouver Island, and this Island has the highest concentration of cougar in the world living on it. It's a crazy sound, one that would cause the quick evacuation of my bladder were I to hear whilst out walking in the woods at night.
My fiancé is Irish she was not saddened by the death of the queen. But the death of Dolly would be truly sad.
I don't blame that girl, Dolly Parton is a treasure. I feel like the south will totally shut down in mourning when it inevitably happens.

@7:48 Briggshurley and Charlotte - I'm so with you on this. The 2nd hand anxiety or just plain ol' disbelief that someone is going to be more concerned with making content and "get ready" with an audience rather than just get going is def stress inducing. On the other hand, I suspect the majority of these people have no life and are simply vegging on the couch 2 seconds after the video has been made and uploaded.
Only once have friends and I ever missed a flight (by just a few minutes after bagage oarding was closed mind you, but it was already too late for them), we had to wait at the aiport for another twelve hours before we could board another one! Ever since then I make sure to get to the airport at least 1/5 hours before my flight is due to take off. Rather wait there than rush there.

as a wood stove installer in my previous life...once oils are burnt onto a surface, they are kinda there for a lifetime! i had clients who 'seasoned' their stove only to have the installers fingerprints on it forever!

I rarely fly, but when I do I'm at the airport 3 hours before my flight just in case traffic is bad, or there's a problem at the airport. Once I got there so early they put me on an earlier flight because the one I was supposed to fly on was overbooked. I got there an hour before my dad came to pick me up, he was also early, and very surprised I was already there.
I like wandering around the airport, poking around in gift shops I can't afford and people watching. At the Vegas airport I had a 6 hour layover. I saw an actor I recognized from a current TV show I liked, but couldn't remember his real name. I could only remember that his character was "Elmer". I really wanted to say "Hi" but didn't want to call him "Elmer" since I clearly didn't remember his name. I just saw him yesterday on a rerun of Star Trek "Enterprise". Now I know his name is Bill Cobbs, but it's 24 years too late!
O.M.G. "People who do this to stress me out" I had some associates that did that kind of stuff, going out to dinner, planning to meet to go someplace, etc. I stopped stressing and left without them.
I always think they're lyin when they're all like "I'm going out in 15 mins let's chat while I get ready" I cannot handle it XD

I remember back when I was in my fast food days, a guy came back from the drive thru to complain that we forgot something of his order… and then proceeded to blame us why he was even more late for his flight than he already was. As a person that likes to be early for everything, it definitely set off a buncha feelings lol
Fun fact: abnormalities in fingerprints can be just as unique as fingerprints for the most part so if they find "prints" that are off and then you become a suspect and they see your fucked up fingers, they'll probably be able to match it.

My husband Mike got his beard practically shaved off by a barber who didn’t know how to listen like 2 months ago, (he had the chair turned around for some reason so Mike couldn’t see what he was doing, and the guy was distracting him with conversation) and he still isn’t over it. His wasn’t close to that long, but it hurt his soul deeply. I have to keep reminding him that it will grow back eventually

Frying pan guy reminds me of one of the shop class teachers at my high school who sawed off the end of his thumb while demonstrating bandsaw safety to my friend's class. My friend said they asked the students to help look for it, too! (No this was not recent. This was 2001.)
I burned my thumb like that sizzle once (full 2nd degree burn). The blister was THICK and lasted 3 weeks! When it finally broke and I cut off the dead skin my thumb was perfect underneath.
It wasn't a kitchen accident. It was a friction thing with a vacuum belt. The belt broke and I went to put on another one and when I touched the metal spindle SIZzLE cITy!
Yeah it's crazy how well our bodies heal themselves. It actually takes more than that for the fingerprints to not come back. But then they still have identifying "prints" they're just harder to print & you usually have to use the ink. I've printed some dudes that worked hard with their hands for a living & then a handful that purposefully removed their prints. They were difficult to print but not impossible. I bet that belt burn hurt like hell!
that stuff stresses me out, im never late and every one around me is going we will leave in 10:20 and it takes 15min and the appointment is at 10:30 to get there so much anxiety

I had to find out what was up with the chef burning his fingers and he explained in a different TikTok that he starts to cook that particular dish starting from a cold pan. He was going to test it to show us that it was cold but turned up the wrong burner so that pan was BLAZING hot🤭
That second hand anxiety got me. I got anxiety because I had second hand embarrassment, because I thought the woman walking slightly behind me was a staff member and I was about to turn around and ask her something until I realised she wasn’t, and I got so stressed at the fact I was about to be embarrassed but didn’t / wasn’t. Like what 🤣😅

The noises the fox was making are excited fox sounds, like happy dog noises. When they’re stressed or really excited, they scream! There’s a fox den in the county land behind my house. You wouldn’t believe how much fun it is to watch the kids playing. They make the strangest non-animal sounds! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦🦴

I worked at a seafood restaurant years ago. One of the managers told us the story of one of the cooks in the back was in the zone and he dropped a shrimp into the fryer( missed the basket)and he put his hand into the dryer to get it without thinking! Not a good thing! He told us this during a safety meeting.
So, on the first date, the girl decided to record him, and the best part was he didn't care, he just went on and on..love it, lmao
