I had a Viking looking maintenance dude come to the house to fix the dishwasher. He was a big manly man with a big beard and a southern accent. He saw the tv and turned to me and said, “so you like Ms. Dobre? She’s funny.” Idk if he’s a husband, but he likes Ms. Dobre.
There absolutely are funny women but you have to be willing to make a complete fool of yourself and that's what men are wired for, not women. ;)

Did a Fact Check for us both, Charlotte. Hippos actually DO run under water at speeds of up to 8km/hrs. ALSO, fell down a rabbit hole and found out that the deadliest animal to humans are mosquitoes; every year they kill between 725,000-1,000,000 people. 😮

I believe that hippos are my spirit animal. They look so cute and chubby (like me...mostly the chubby part, not so much the cute part) but are incredibly dangerous and lethal. I want to be like them! I have the size part down, now I have to work on the cute but deadly part.

As someone who wrote letters bargaining with the Tooth Fairy as a child, I fully believe Jeremy wrote those letters to Santa. 😂😂
😂. I got a real stinger from my firstborn when she was 6 because I forgot three nights in a row to put cash under her pillow 🤦🏾♀️. I had to get the glitter pens out, apologise and explain how the truck had overturned and we had to collect all the spilled teeth! I compensated her for the inconvenience and she wrote me a thank you letter and said she hoped that no one was hurt or too tired from all the extra work 🥺. I actually wrote both letters for her because she had a cast on at the time! So funny. She still has the letter I wrote and she’s 22 now

I wrote a letter to the tooth fairy because I wanted to know why I only got a quarter, and most of the kids at my school got $5 for their tooth. She never answered haha
It is so possible.. My kids write to santa as if they are friends. Also santa was having trouble with the reindeers this year, and my kids sent santa a letter about how good they were and were sad not to get at least one of the presents they asked for.. Thankful the elf on the shelf came through and explained the situation.
I wrote a letter from the tooth fairy that one time I forgot to put money out for my son.
The tooth fairy had trouble getting into his room because it was messy and she would come back as soon as he cleaned it up.
It worked perfectly! 😂😅

I agree, the only thing putting me off was that the letters were in all caps and I just wouldn’t expect a kid to do that, they usually write lower case since it’s easier and faster but I like the thought of a kid writing it’s because it’s funny :)
@@agnieszkacz_ could go either way on the capitalization. Kids tend to pick one or the other (unless promoted or told otherwise), at least in my experience as an elementary teacher

For the Santa Jeremy story I feel the parents missed a chance to explain the elves are no longer slaves but have in fact unionised. Part of the collective bargaining from the last contract update requires that there is a value-per-hour cap on presents per child before Santa has to give tripple pay and next Christmas off and because of a stocking market dip he couldn’t afford to do that this year.

Seeing that 'Robin Wong' one reminded me that years ago my Chinese-Canadian roommate named "Clement Wong" travelled to Japan. The company he was going to work for sent driver to the airport to pick him up. They told the driver he was a Canadian. Clement was told a driver that would be waiting for him would have sign with his name. What happened was Clement went to the pickup area but nobody held up a sign with his name. He waited and waited - more than an hour. Meanwhile standing right next to him for that whole time was his driver but he'd only flash his sign at travellers he thought looked 'Canadian'. He was totally unaware that someone of Chinese descent could be a Canadian. Eventually once almost everyone else had left the area they figured out they were waiting for each other.
Then they got married and had three kids

A few things: 1) Notice how Santa DID NOT offer Jeremy any proof to the contrary regarding his status of elf slave ownership. 2) According to the San Diego Zoo website, "Hippos bodies are too dense to float so they move around by pushing off from the bottom of the river or walking along the riverbed in a slow-motion gallop - lightly touching the bottom with their toes (which are slightly webbed) like aquatic ballet dancers". Now that ballet sequence in "Fantasia" makes sense. 3) Was anyone else mesmerized by the velvety dulcet tones of Mr. Wong's voice?

So RE: the husband who walked in and started getting into the show
One time, my mom, aunt and I were watching the 6-part-series-BBC-version of Pride & Prejudice at home in the living room. Each episode was anywhere from 40-50 mins each. My dad used to always tease us whenever we ladies of the house all watched anything related to Pride & Prejudice.
By the end of episode 1, he was asking questions.
By the end of episode 2, he was making judgments on certain characters.
By the end of episode 3, he had sat down and was fully engaged.
By the end of episode 4, he was complaining alongside my aunt and mom that we were stopping there because I had work the next day and needed to go to bed.

The letters to Santa had me rolling, but the guy reading them made it ten times better. I felt it when he said he played Santa's game but Santa didn't deliver. I don't even care if it's fake or not. I choose to believe in Jeremy. He's my new spirit animal lol.
A couple of years ago I ordered a Chirp set. (They're great, by the way!) They sent it in a box marked "White Flour 10 lbs". The note inside explained that no one ever steals flour. Kudos to Chirp!
I genuinely believe that with Grocery Store inflation, that Flour delivery would disappear today so much faster than the Chirp set ever would 😆

When I got my mom into Ghost Whisperer, my dad was like 'oh that is such a woman show', then sits down and watches several episodes with my mom. He got into after awhile. The clip about the guy not touching the woman, I have a feeling that this is how most men in entertainment going to be. Everyone should keep their hands to themselves. Women shouldn't touch the men, and men shouldn't touch the women. Would make life more simple instead of drama with he said, she said crap.

The first one happened to me, I got my Dad a popcorn maker for Christmas and it came without being in a separate box. My mom saw it before me and put it over by my Dad's stuff, not noticing my name was on the label. Luckily he didn't see it but it's still annoying how companies aren't discreet enough.

Jeremy's letters were hilarious, but also a great example of why I think the Santa myth should be done away with; most kids _know_ , at least a little bit, when their parents are $truggling, & would be a lot less confused, sad or even mad like Jeremy at them than if _Santa_ - w. his infinite resources - turns out to bring them less or smaller gifts than they wanted.
If not totally, then at least by the time kids are old enough to cognise on that level (say, 6 -8).
I also think this Santa nonsense should be done away with. And if Jeremy is this assertive now he's going to be a much bigger pain when figures out that his parents lied to him 🤣
There is nothing wrong with Santa... But there is something wrong with parents raising ungrateful children. There is also something to be said about having the expensive presents coming from parents and the stocking from Santa. Still it's all rooted in how these kids are raised. It's the same as the videos of kids throwing absolute tantrums, and even breaking things, when they don't get the big expensive thing they want for Christmas or whenever else.
@@sinovuyobudaza7167 There is nothing wrong with Santa it is the parents fault for telling him the expensive gift was from Santa in the first place. Secondly he is a brat and I know if I acted like that my ass would be whooped, I would lose all the gifts I got except for socks, and I would be grounded for being ungrateful. In a few years that kid is going to be unmanageable.
Its humorous and disturbing at the same time. A very strong willed articulate child that still believes Santa brings his presents? His disappointment will be epic.
This is why my cousin is teaching her daughter about Santa as a myth/folklore. They still do all the fun things (leaving out cookies, writing letters, etc.) but they present it as a game of make believe so their daughter knows it's not real. It curbs this kind of situation as well as it being potentially ruined by someone saying Santa's not real.
My husband could never claim that he doesn't watch your channel because we watch it together. It's our bonding moment lol. We love you Charlotte!!!

Went on a girls' trip to Vegas six years ago and got so day drunk at the pool parties that we opted out of seeing Zedd DJ at a nightclub despite buying tickets (we had gotten in free the night before and used that as justification). Literally woke up the next morning to find some of his celebrity friends made surprise appearances at the show. Moral of the story: don't skip out on things because you're drunk/hungover. Just don't.
Charlotte, if you wanna know about hippos (in a fun way to boot), you should look up Casual Geographic (I know he made 3 videos with those monsters included). He knows a ton about animals and teaches people about them in funny condensed videos. He did one about hippos too. And I can assure you...they certainly are in the top 3 worst mammal bastards list. ovo;
They are more dangerous than most animals that would come to mind to most people when they are asked what the most dangerous or scary animal is. Mainly tho because most people don't know much about them. XD

To the people doubting that a little boy wrote the letters - my rebuttal:
I go to my sister's for my birthday and my niece [ 2 or barely 3 at the time, and an eating machine ] sees me with a big piece of birthday cake. She grabs her fork, walks up to me batting her best puppy-dog eyes and says "I can help you with that if you like."
PERFECT SENTENCE, PERFECT GRAMMAR, PERFECT PRONUNCIATION, AND PERFECT POLITENESS!! I'm still shaking my head in wonder and astonishment...

Their bodies are far too dense to float, so they move around by pushing off from the bottom of the river or simply walking along the riverbed in a slow-motion gallop, lightly touching the bottom with their toes, which are slightly webbed, like aquatic ballet dancers. 😀

I worked target over the holidays and anything in a sturdy container over a certain size was supposed to be sent in its own packaging - so not inside another box. Definitely wondered about some of the toys I shipped, and if it was going to ruin some surprises 😕
The toy thing happened to me this year actually, my son’s hot wheels ultimate garage came a week early and had the huge picture of it on the box. So he got that present early

That Santa thread reminds me of the customer service interactions I have by email every day at work (and with--ahem--adults).
I've worked as a CSR. Some of the conversations were less than stellar on the part of the customer. Makes me wonder how some people actually function in their day to day lives.
I did the iPhone 7 launch back in 2016, like… a week into my internship as a webchat CS agent at a telco. Had this guy who couldn’t get an iPhone 7 in time before it sold out on launch day, come and complain through the website about how we didn’t let him have the new iPhone, and then wished that all of us in the telco would die, and wished death on all of our family members too. customers are WILD.
