I'm usually not a fan of mods like this, but after seeing it with the "stinger" badge dead center in place of the Kia badge, I'm a believer! This is how Kia should do it from the factory. Very nice and thanks for sharing!

Thanks muchly for the video. Our local Kia dealer failed miserably to do the re-badging earlier today on my 2019 Stinger - I was NOT impressed. It was supposed to be done a year ago as part of the sales agreement when we bought it - but it's been one farce after another - and today may have been the last straw. Thinkin' of tackling it myself now (they say if you want it done right...DIY, right!). Your video is a great help...inspires some confidence.

On mine I used a 99¢ wooden yard stick to form a base for the stencil to rest on. The stencil is so flimsy that it wants to twist and warp slightly when you try to stick it to the car. The yardstick has three advantages: first, being soft wood it won't scratch the finish; second, it will bend easily to conform the car's curves as you tape it in place; third, it forms a perfectly flat and straight edge to align the bottom of the stencil.
You did a great job...your Stinger looks fantastic!

The proper way to remove an emblem without hurting your paint is by using fishing line. Making a sawing motion to cut the glue.

If this is how it comes, does it also have the two holes for the old badge? I'm guessing not. The Stinger looks 100x better with the script badge at the rear, it would have been more eye catching and make people do even more of a double take when they finally realize that the exotic car they're staring at is actually a Kia.

morg4620 I agree completely. The Korean version has no holes and I'm guessing a robotic arm at the factory places it on the car. Or they have a special template that lines it up better. So we get stuck trying to figure out crazy ways of putting it on straight 🤣

Actually, there is no Kia with K logo in Korea. There was a time (mid 00s) when a circle K logo came with, but the oval K logo is just 3rd party logo made by small company. However the stinger is a different story. "E"logo which is model specific logo is used on stinger fresh from factory.

And there cars don't have holes so tabs aren't needed. I do wish someone would recreate one for the other countries that do contain the holes. Only problem is that could be a while down the road. Whoever dumbs down this video are straight up haters , the Stinger wording looks amazing on the back

do you know that it would have the company that made the stinger logo nothing to just add the two back pins so it would have been easier to put on the back of the car.

I have a Mazda but definitely appreciate what Kia brought to the table with the stinger. The emblem fits since it is kind of its own brand. Plus I always give props to folk that help out the community by posting how to vids.good stuff guys

Have u thought about replacing the front and rims with the new E badge? Those are on the Korean spec Stinger. I think you can purchase on the stinger forum

Guys thanks for the views and subs. I will be doing an E badge video. A full oil change video for those who want to know how to. And a K&N air intake video. And a borla exhaust install video when it goes up for sale. Many videos to come. Thank you.

@@FeisarX I have racing stripes on mine and I was wondering can I put the lettering upfront and the E badge in the rear I know this may sound strange But I believe It will contrasts better with the Racing stripes

chigasaki06 same here. What sold me was the look of the car. They did an amazing job at KIA with the design of this car.

The red with E badges only makes it a instant head turner. I would even mistake it for a Maserati

Looks real good. I would do something with the front Kia emblem too. And hopefully some thurdvpartyvwi figure something out for the not so nice steering wheel centre.
