You guys did something wrong. I upgraded mine with a K/N air intake kit from Summit racing, a generic flow master set of mufflers that a friend of mine who owns a a muffler shop welded in where the big junk ones were and crafted new exit tips for me, and a GTS Black race chip. Once put on the Dyno running premium 93 octane fuel with octane boost I experienced a Jump of 104.7 hp and 102.0 fptq. That is 469.7 hp and 477 fptq. for all of you people who can not add. I could not believe it myself at first. Yet we ran 5 times and the numbers were only off my a point or two. Don't waste your money on expensive exhaust systems. Go find a really down to earth muffler shop and have them build you one.

Different Dyno's, air tempature, humidity. It all plays a part.

220 rwkw would be around the manufacturer stated 265 crank kw - so I think the dyno numbers are realistic.
john jackson yeah his dynos reads high. Calibration maybe idk. I compare these hp numbers to g8s....since there very similar and i own one. G8 community is around 295-310 hp base lines for stock and advertise from gm with 365 at the crank. I wouldnt believe torxs dyno results at all.

Sell any of your products to us Americans? I’m not thrilled with the K&N Cold Air Intakes. The air filters are too small and it’s all how the pipes are designed. I love what y’all did. They’re gorgeous cars. I love mine!

great vid--someone that shows the gains in a realistic manner.I put a muffler delete on and the car feels peppier--I am surprised the cold air intakes gains are so low.I would rather have mine--an injen installed by a mecahnic--that will run about 600 dollars for what--maybe 5 hp.The cold air intake companies need to be more realistic--and also lower the price because these gains are not that much.BTW--my last cold air intake--I always had to buy a new cone--could never get the cones clean--the KIA will need 2 of these when they get dirty.I still might do it--but good video.
Great video, thanks for sharing your testing results. When word went around that Kia was releasing the Stinger, I was very interested to see how long it would take the aftermarket to start going to town on them. Are you using the LAP3 chip for your tune?
In your opinion after testing, do you think that it has a lot more untapped potential? Would it benefit from a better front mount?
Seems like the cold air intakes are just for sound. I'd like to see the testing with the full turbo back exhaust as well.

I honestly think it's best to leave the stock intake on, it'd be best. It definitely needed a cat-back or upgraded exhaust i agree with that. Dyno numbers are off though.

@HPFperformance what ECU Chip are you using? Can the stinger be flashed through the OBD port or has Kia locked this function? I believe a ecu flash vs piggy back will always provide better results. Were these these carried out all on the same day same conditions etc? Are you situated at sea level or above sea level?
Don't know why the final hp gains are listed w/o tq numbers as, from what I could see, the tq numbers shot up substantially in the final pull dyno chart.. Hp gains won't do much for this car, it's all about the torque gains

When will this air intake system be released? I've been checking the site since this video appeared on the net and haven't seen anything for the car yet.
I'm keen to see what the stock turbos can do on e85, eg 18psi, 100cell cats, a bigger intercooler ie, the sorts of mods I would do. Upgrading to larger turbos is a big expense.

I totally agree but in my case it's the 300S that is severely lacking. If they offered a BiTurbo Penta I might be driving one (it was on my long list of AWD Sedans I looked at) I finally went with a Merc C43 which is now at Stage II (tune) with Downpipes and laying down 400 to the wheels. It's a BLAST and Dodge could totally have a car like this... The Penta and the Merc Dela 30 are the same damn architecture!

What do you mean be "Chip Fitted"? Are you saying you have modified the ECU tune or added piggyback to fool the tune?
Secondly, are you still running the first set of cats that are very restricted/chocked? Have you looked inside to see how tight it is?
Ben Hayat i think what he meant was he replaced his ecu with a tuned ecu. Some manufacturers doesn’t allow the use of hand held tuners so you are stuck with replacing the whole ecu module!

Q, do Americans measure the power rating of an electric appliance in hp ? Using KW gives a consistant approach and is easy to calculate.
you put in a CAI, headers, cat back exhaust and a tune in a commodore and you get 70kw. I guess the Kia isn't too responsive to work...

It's showing the V6 right in front of you ruclips.net/video/I3He06aSirs/видео.html They make 272kw/360hp stock at the engine, at the wheels considerably less. 350whp is over 420hp at the engine. Exhaust shows twin dump pipes off each turbo ruclips.net/video/I3He06aSirs/видео.html I'm not sure what 4 cylinder you're seeing.
348 hp or 260 KW, mcms 240z fairladyz made 417 kw from a second hand r33 nissan skiline engine with a single turbo, ill come back when the stinger makes over 300 kw

The US uses mechanical (imperial) horsepower, the UK uses the term "bhp" or "brake horsepower" but is generally a mix of metric and imperial horsepower depending on the origin of the engine, Japan and most of Europe uses metric horsepower (PS, cv, ch, pk, etc.).
Australia and New Zealand are, from memory, the only countries that actually use kilowatts.

Weak as piss for how many thousands was spent on the upgrades it picked up about 40 kws. Pfffff cat and injectors on my f6 Went to 310 kws at the wheels for about 2300 bucks

Yep, transmission, diff, engine warranty all gone plus anything else they can associate with it.
Try the WHOLE car. From the bonnet latch to the reversing sensors. Once your start making mods like this, the warranty goes out the window. KIA engineers spend 1000's of man hours/years of testing to make these cars reliable. Also, I'd like to see them get insurance !!!

The engine was a V6, you see the crank angle sensors on either inlet banks, plus dual dump pipes to the cross piece.
Plus, it just sounds like a V6!

Ian Ford Man I saw a kia stinger getting 345 by my eyes on local dyno , and many on the internet , even the G70 gets 355 on wheels but only RWD and the awd can get 290-310
Ian Ford it definitely makes 320-330whp on most dynos. It's impossible for it to make 290 if it is running a 12.6-12.8 in the quarter on RUclips.
How do you know your local dyno "wasn't good" ? Just because it's making more numbers doesn't there mean it's a bad dyno at all.

IS20 is not a big turbo, but IS38 is, LOL
This is a brand new car on the market. Tuners are still learning how to get more out of the the factory ecu. This is a promising start that can only improve with time. It's not a VW that's been on the market for several years that many tuners are familiar with. Common sense.
