I must have been a Scotsman in a previous life because every time I hear this music it stirs something deep inside me, sometimes bringing me to tears. It started the first time I saw the Black Watch perform in 1964.
We tend to forget they are all trained soldiers. I remember going to Castlemartin in Wales for range firing of the Chieftain tanks. Top gunner turned out to be our company bedding storeman.

Lotta history and tradition in these villages.

I love the tradition of the bag pipes. I have taken many of the Queen for several years- every one I could get on my cell. I so loved an she was the greatest woman of the world past and now. When I think of when my mother died I feel the sorrow now and when my mother died. My brother vacationed in Scotland two weeks ago and said Scotland looked a lot like Kentucky. I am enjoying the parade of bagpipes today.
I can't get enough of this; not only the music but also the perfect marching and pretending I am in that village, watching each business as we pass by for its specialties!
