I'm French. Since I am 8 or 10 years old, those pipes make me cry and feel so moved , I can not explain that. It's like a big feeling of proud an dignity... When the music started, I cried ! It is so beautiful, makes my soul vibrate, I don't have the right words to explain....

My dear father, 92 years old, who died 3 weeks ago, heard this music the first time in his live, when the Canadian and English troops entered The Hague in early may 1945. He was 13 years old and mostly skin and bones after 8 months of hunger. But the Scots bands played and played and he walked behind it. Totally in trance with the bagpipes.... And always after that, he felt Liberation when he heard this music. So we had a real balpipes player at his funeral, in kilt and everything. Ah, you should have seen the stunned faces when he started to use the bagpipes... What a way to send off, our dear warrior father. And my heartfelt thanks to the Scots for this music. Respect from Holland!

I went to the Braemar School for the first 6 years of my education in Santiago, Chile. Our emblem was a thistle flower stating "Fide et Fiducia"! That is the basis for my being a fully native English-speaking person. I still remember my English-Scottish teachers with great warmth. They made me love everything English, Scottish, Ireland and Welsh. Been there several times and plan to visit again this year.

Most of my bloodline is Scottish. No wonder I love the pipes and drums so much! Roland Stuart is one of the best Drum Majors I've ever seen! I've always wanted to visit Scotland, especially the area near Braemar, as my family name originates from the northeast area of Scotland. Hello from Alabama, USA!

I have always loved the pipes I worked for a police dept for years loved the pipes and drums that played. Years later my sister and I took a DNA test and found out we are part Scottish. My father was adopted and my parents divorced when we were very young so we didn’t learn much about him. We are planning a trip to Scotland soon.
