THREE titles in a year!! Oban should be very proud of these Pipes&Drums. Watched the Worlds from afar (Aotearoa/New Zealand) and while none of our Bands were on the Green, I was gobsmacked at the quality of playing,, even more so when my favourite Inverary took the title.✌✊ Loved the ecstatic chaos💙 when the results were announced😀 Well done Oban PB👍👍 Tu Tangata/Stand Tall.
@@ghproductionsargyll it doesn’t stand out when there are a lot of pipers … I take note because my youngest Uncle, who was in the Seaforths in WW2, was a left handed piper, and also took part in the first Edinburgh Military Tattoo. After demob he was involved in BBs, tutoring pipers.
The high visibility brigade needs sorting out. They seem to think it's ok to mix with the pipers and drummers with the garish colour looking completely out of place. One slovenly chap has his hands in his pockets and seems to be trying to keep out of step. The brigade need placing well ahead and well behind the band.
@@ghproductionsargyllI should have watched the whole video before commenting. 🤪 Fantastic numbers in the band. Sounds great and a good variety of tunes - not just the standard street tunes. 👍🏴🥃
It is nice to see people, who remember/know who they are. Well done!
That's an interesting thing we did not think about, thank you for your kind comment also.
Great video, they look & sound wonderful. bravo. Love seeing all the various tartans the Pipers are wearing!! Wow, 3 titles in one year!!
Thank you
Well done Oban Pipe Band, and what a nice selection of tunes. Of course, praise where it’s due to the Pipe Major!
Escoceses! Os quiero mucho ❤

And we Scots send that love right back :)

Thank you i'm sure the band will very much appreciate your lovely compliments.
Scotland ❤❤❤ free😊
I noticed at the top of the video, they were not playing for awhile and without a drummer giving the cadence, they were all stepping together.
Sólo un Escocés tiene la armonia de entonar gaitas(desde niño),muy bien pequeños-grandes valientes
Nice , thx,,great job with the Colorchange to Black and white 12:54 on ,
greetings from Germany
That's appreciated glad you enjoyed.
I was pleased to see a left handed piper… (6.32)
Whoah thank you for pointing that out, even editing the film I did not see that :)

The band is Oban High School pipe band who play in Novice Juvenile grade (still a very good band) and not Oban town pipe band who won grade 3A
You are absolutely correct :) many thanks for pointing that out. I have changed the description to suit.
No drums?
No there are no drums on the first parade, there are in the second as Oban Pipe Band follow on from the Pipers Parade in this film.
