I have a high mileage 2011 gmc that's just barely getting rust bubbles( Amazing right). The previous owner had the undercarriage sprayed with that gritty acrylic bed liner spray, and it has kept the rust off up until now. When I see those beefy fender flares my mind can't help but wonder how much rust is hiding underneath. I think these flares look more natural and will probably be the style i get.. I honestly think if you put the big flares on with the exposed scews truck owners will assume you're driving a rusted out GM truck. Let's be honest GM had a real rust fender problem and they did nothing about it for over 10 years.
@dutch4117 facts. I'd like to get a replacement bed for 3500 or less after getting quoted 7000 to replace both rear fenders but untill then this maybe the way I go.
Just finished my install.........and there was no way in hell I could get the front flares to line up with factory fasteners. I ended up leaving the one forward out ......no way it was going in. I did use a smaller fastener to secure the front area.
Is there anyway to leave the mud flaps on AND have the fender trim installed at the same time? Or do the flaps have to come off in order to have the fender trim on? I have a 2000 Silverado extended cab and I’m wanting the 1-1.5” fender trim. Thanks to everyone.
Cover any bare metal areas with Fluid Film or Surface Shield before installing. Spray lots of Fluid Film through the 3 plugged holes on the inside of the wheel well.
Well, that's the entire point of these. To cover up the rust😆

They will just rust underneath too when salt and water gets in behind them

Do yourself a favor and install the rubber spline before installing.
My kit came with a small tool to help with it.

Who cares if they assume that? the main reason people put them on is to hide the rust and pass inspection…

Do these fit on a 2008 GMC Sierra?
Does the double sided tape have a groove in it?
Is there any reason I can't install the rubber backing before installing the flare?
No… install before much easier
My rear fenders are too rusted out to support the hardware ☹️
Did you figure out a work around?

Where do I find the pictures of other trucks with these flares painted?
What size are the tire and wheel combo? Looks perfect I have a 13 wanting to put on a set of wheel aand tire combo..
How much width do they add??
Is installation the same with the oe red rock fender flares?
So do these fit 2008 1500 LT crew cab because according to the website, they dont
Will these fit a 2013 GMC Sierra SLE crew cab?
Is it seal off tight for water proof or rain proof, no water or rain can get inside and create rust on fender?
if you live in the salt belt it will rot behind there and the hardware will also rust badly. its almost unavoidable.

Do you sell the inner fender well? My frongs on my 09 GMC are bowed out, curved like they got severe sun damage warping
Those do nothing but cause rust even faster, take them off!
What if I am running the factory mud flaps?
You need to remove them
How much

These look nice. But if I put them on everyone will think I'm hiding rust...
I say if you like the look of them, then you should get them! -Zach
That’s literally the idea without lookin like you have a small wiener
