ah this looks so helpful for beginners- i remember all the art tutorials when i was starting where pretty trash and making up random rules without teaching the basics!
Basic shapes are your friends
If you have legos and can build something like those "mechs", that helps too for inspiration
Or Rico from Brawl Stars
Rightt
@@zipperdan3969 NOT THE HEART LMAOOO
it's pretty useful for any level of artist, it makes u form the pose quickly :)
I actually remember learning these in school but I never thought about using it on actual art! I’m glad I watched this to remember and now use this information to help improve my art, thank you!!! ❤️
Well im learning about it till today
Same!
I am. Obsessed with the thumbnail to this video it gives me an unreasonable amount of joy
I just realized it's an avatar reference lol
@@pezvonpez omg I see it now
*blink blink*
the last formbender
OMG, THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED!!! I'm just starting to study the fundamentals, forms first, and I'm just so lost. I don't know what to do, this surely will help me a lot
im glad it could help
I’m starting now and wondering what your progress was like. Did you stick with it the whole year?
@@pnutjellybuttr5898hii!! sorry for not answering before, I barely use this account on youtube. I started studying the fundamentals but I kinda stopped because I'm studying at a school that goes from like 2pm until 9, so I don't really have that much time.
I mostly just draw something here and there for fun, and I'm not saying I didn't have progress because I did but it's just more basic stuff, like, I can barely draw bodies💀 but if you still wanna see, I post from time to time my drawings on wattpad.
✨the avatar reference✨
Great video btw, I love your style and your tips are always really helpful.
thank you so much
avatar is the best dudee
Omg Ty it was driving me crazy that I couldn't remember what that reference was
Oh dam glad i wasnt the only one who notice it
Hell nah I ain’t doing math while drawnin
Hell nah, you don't need books 'neither! Just a 12 pack of Natural Light, some cigarettes, and paper and pencil!
I drop out of school sins kindergarten, th f*ck is geometry?
youre just dumb
@@CC-TRAYON she already explained it in the video r u deaf lmao
@@user-pj4ql4cb2lno need to be rude
I remember my teacher in grade 8 actually taught us these! However, you go into much more detail and honestly it's very important for people to know and understand these things when drawing any form of art
Nah i dont think more detail, more like makes us all understand (but im also secondary 1 right now but since i just learned about this so-)
Gonna be honest for most of my art journey I just winged it. I never properly learned anatomy, shadows, etc but videos like these are really helping me properly learn art more!
I remember when i had just started drawing and blindly stumbled my way through tutorials without actually understanding anything that was said, but now i watch your videos and wish i couldve seen them when starting out as your tutorials are so easy to understand, exciting to watch and extremely help!! ♡ ive learnt more in a month of practicing with your videos than 5 years of random youtube tutorials :'))
(sorry if my english is a bad! Google translate is helping me with this comment haha!)
Your English is excellent!
YOUR ENGLISH IS SO CLEARRR :D
big tip: to draw geometric shapes correctly try to actually build a perspective - with the horizon line and having object's lines meet in 1 or 2 (or 3) points depending on the angle - at least practice this at first. It's also kinda required for bigger and more complex pictures (interiors, etc)
you can also take photos of geometric shapes in real life and try to build a perspective over them in a digital art program
These exercises will help you memorize the way simple shapes are supposed to be at different angles. It's also always helpful to check the "size" of the sides even if what you've drawn seems alright
yes!!
make sure to get the basic shape thing first tho and then add stuuuf
This came out precisely at the time I needed it, I just recently started getting into practicing the pure basics of art, and the Avatar the last Airbender reference in the thumbnail made it all the better
Your avatar is getting more and more cute by the minute! I love this so much, thanks for the helpful video.
thats so sweet thank you so much
As a beginner, I've been struggling to improve my art for 2 months now,but after i watched this, i know why.It was because i tried to be Complex at my start. Like instead of making simple drawing i tried to make it more complex like semi realism.
I love the slicing the face to reveal a colourful cake. Thanks for this new series!
thank you so much for this I know I'll love the series really needed these tutorials! Now to practice this and get the improvement I'm wanting
I really love the thumbnail and its
inspired by avatar even better
ok, but you've helped me so much with everything about art and character design with your tutorials. Thank you, SO much.
i’ve been completely unmotivated to draw but for some reason watching you draw always helps motivate me, i can’t explain it but i always feel like drawing after watching a video of yours
As an aspiring artist who is incredibly overwhelmed by the artistic journey, I appreciate these sort of slower paced videos that assume we're beginners and explain concepts. One day I hope to get a tutor, or head into a school so I can actually learn properly about all of these things in concentrated studies.
0:41 Reminds me of Aang from “ATLA” doing the air bending trick. 😄 A nice touch and great video.👍👍👍❤️
I just want you to know that you are one of the most helpful artists in my life right now. I went from not knowing how to draw anatomy to understanding shapes and how certain things add up. I literally cannot thank you enough for what you've been doing. I appreciate you so much.
I'm loving the new sprites! owo
also thank you for making this informational video
Patiently wait for pt 2!

This is one of the most helpful art videos I’ve watched. I will now probably be spending the rest of the year studying form, thank you!
Frankly, this was more useful from what I expected. So it's all about shapes and form! Got it! Thanks anyway you're the best :,)
This helped me so much with my school work.. I have to analyse some elements and principles for art used in a few paintings and I was really struggling explaining form, thank you blue
Omg yes, a series of the most powerful elements of drawing ;u;
Thank you so much, I won't miss a single episode, your tutorials are really helpful !

I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS TYSSSMMMM 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Fun tutorial! I have trouble paying attention to long art tutorials, even when put on x2 playback. This short, simple and straight-to-the-point video was well done and really works for me! Thanks!!
thank you im loving this tutorial its pretty easy to understand and straightforward also love the illustrations
doing these things first before diving into complex topics like anatomy is recommended
ahhh thank you!! As a total noob just beginning art this is so helpful as I struggle with the 3D feel and pop, but your references are a huge help!
dude DUDE IM SO JEALOUS THAT I DIDNT HAVE THIS VIDEO (and potentially the rest of the series!!) WHEN I WAS STARTING OUT. this is great. an actually good beginners guide, ive been sharing this around with all of my friends who want to start taking art seriously
Thank you so much! I've been pretty stuck with my art lately since I haven't known how to improve drawing people and things in different angles but this video made me understand more what I need to do to improve!!

Im currently on my summer break and trying to use the 2 months to improve in my art. Ive been focusing on shapes for a bit because i feel like thats something i need to get better at and videos like these help so much, thank you
I was looking to brush up on my basics since I haven’t drawn in a long time. This is perfect!!
if funny to see i have been drawing for 3 year without learning about this and some other art related studies and still improve this really show that art is a medium where in any way anyone can improve in there own speed and ways :)
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL so simple to understand yet the impact is great :))
Love the thumbnail avatar reference lmao
Oh it's really helpful and helps me to understand a lot of things. This is the video I need to learn🤩

Very succinct explanation, covers everything you need to begin practicing the concept. I would send this video to someone who wants to begin learning to draw in earnest as an introduction (and probably will.)
Blu biscuits you are my inspiration
