Hello Blue! I'm Brazilian and I really like your work. In Brazil, artists have almost no prestige, but watching your videos gives me the strength to try to pursue an artistic career. Thank you very much
It’s totally worth it for your own self esteem and expressing yourself cause art can be a way to escape when your stressed on something and/or experiencing a downhill on your mental health, and others can experience this through your art as well! However, even though I’m still a teen myself, from what I’ve learned, I recommend having a backup career plan for making sustainable living money just in case, cause even in America being an artist as a career is hit or miss :/, for me this is psychology ^^, and if u have to resort to that you can always still pursue art on the side as a hobby :D
ive been waiting for someone to make a video like this because i have genuinely been struggling with staying consistent. every video of yours gives me a new perspective to things and im so thankful for the content you create :]
I made a promise to draw every day, but I knew I might break it. So, I decided to take a different approach. I created a TikTok account and announced that I would draw every single day to improve my skills. The support and encouragement from my followers started pouring in, and suddenly, I couldn’t let them-or myself-down. Now, drawing has become a part of my daily routine. I can’t go to bed without picking up a pencil or pen and creating something. It’s amazing how this small habit has grown into something so meaningful.
I tried to do the same on 2024 but i always fail to draw something new every day, if i only do it is because i have any comms to do. Any tips on how to build the habit?
I did that too. I love the art community for that. It’s such a good strategy to get back into drawing. I did put the brakes on it once my brain was teeming with ideas/bigger projects. Can’t ignore rare inspiration!
something i really love as someone with asd is that you feel like you're directly talking to me, rather than an audience. i know the latter is the truth, but you keeping your mistakes and distractions makes it feel like you're a friend . and that makes me happy , thank you for guiding me
Tbh I've been having a problem really recently where I'm just not interested instead of the usual lack of motivation, it doesn't feel fun anymore, and it makes me sad because art is a big part of my life It's also a little scary because I don't know how long this will last, or if it's permanent I hope this feeling goes away soon :[
Hello0, I'm from Brazil and I would like to 1: Say that you are among the 3 artists whose art I use the most to study, I love your painting style S2 2: I would love to hear you talk about issues like "not giving up everything for fear of not getting a job" for example 3: I'm also studying 3D modeling and it's really cool, apart from the times when you want to bang your head against the wall because the programs only work when they want to lmao, organic modeling for example feels like working with clay!
This video has been very helpful. As an inconsistent artist I've always found myself a bit lost despite having gone to classes for art and thinking that it was enough, but I still have to keep learning. I especially found at 8:56 that fundamentals will probably be what I will start working on again as I want to reteach myself those basics before moving onto more anatomy and character studies since that's what I want to focus on in the future.
This morning I felt like I was just following your art. You analyzed and studied and made your own path, but I felt like I was following your path. When I feel like this, your new post gives me strength.
I'm definitely going to make a ton of progress on my art this year for sure. Before I was so worried about "having motivations" to draw everyday or often but I started thinking about it more so as a habit like brushing your teeth and now I can draw everyday and have been doing so since the 2nd of January! All I need to do now is get more in depth with what I draw and do actually studies in my sketch book. So far its just been a bunch of 3D shapes and trying to draw poses or construct them out of said shapes. Once I get a practice down I think I'll focus on Construction for the a while before trying to pivot more so into perspective and such. I want to draw poses better and I feel that construction is helping me a ton! I wish you all good luck on your art journey's this year and thanks for the tips on what else i should study BlueBiscuits!!!
I needed this soooo much! I’ve been watching your channel for ages (even before I had my own RUclips account), and I swear every video you make is sooo helpful!!!
halooo this has motivated me! been watching your videos for a few months now and it's so welcoming and cozy 💗 i hope you achieve your endeavors this year
i'm actually going into a cartoonist/comic art school next year. it will be interesting seeing someone choosing this path and see how they go with me going the same direction :).
I actually have drawing a little bit every day this whole year so far. I’ve been having motivation to post on places like Bluesky and I’m hoping so build a community and just improve my art this year. With that goal in mind, I’ve been trying to ignore the numbers and not pay attention to that stuff, but I’m hoping to draw quite a bit this year! It’s been good so far, hopefully the motivation and drive continues for awhile. Good luck for anyone else trying to do the same!
There was something human about you keeping in the retakes of your audio voiceover. Although it can also come off as unprofessional I thought it added a unique down to earth charm.
I used to draw a lot some years ago, but then a lot of stuff happened and I lost interest to basically everything I enjoyed, but this year I decided to start my art journey from scratch. It's been pretty hard and frustrating, but I still have motivation to keep going thanks to your videos, so thanks! ;) (Also, does anyone have any useful tips?)
11:30 thank you for suggesting this. I was planning on doing it but was worried that I'd be spreading myself too thin by doing both traditional and digital illustration
Art books are honestly a bit of an underrated tool these days due to how a lot of resources can be found online. An art book I recommend for anatomy is Morphos: Anatomy for Artist. Really information and explains each piece of the body!
Ok so what I will do is concentrate on one or two aspects a month, for example, in February I will concentrate on perspective and three-dimensionality and in March on color theory.
You’re doing great 🥺♥️ being a mom is a full time job and I have so much respect for you. even just 5 min will bring u so much closer in a year Good luck ♥️
