As someone who's ADHD... I actually cannot do this even if i want to. I feel like it would take forever to overlevel for the story. So instead, i use the story chapters as checkpoints for leveling.
Yeah I grinded up my level and equipment for A Gate Between Worlds, before going on to finish the game.... the final bosses were a joke after that lol.
Octopath Traveler always was a game based on grinding especially if you want to take final boss with 8 characters. I always farmed EXP on high level zones, get the advanced sub jobs before going to story again.
He said “What a waste of time” before the battle even begun. That boss was dead before you even landed a hit.
I regret doing shit like these lmao, can't enjoy the boss fight phase.
I did a second playthrough no armor, it should satisfy if you are around 5-15 levels below

I'm just baffled that you're at that level with the extra jobs and dont have Surpassing Power
That's one thing that they need to fix if they decide to make Octopath Traveler 3. It's an easy fix. They should just make the bosses match your level
